The color scheme is so pretty!! It was so much fun to watch you experiment with drawing buildings. Buildings to me always seem so intimidating to draw, but for some reason watching you draw them makes them feel less intimidating. ^u^
A lil tip I learned in art class, if you draw the horizon line first you can put different vanishing points anywhere on the line and it won't go all wonky! Higher horizon line for looking up at something and lower for looking down.
I love your videos because they never feel like there’s ever a “goal”, it’s always just a half hour of following along with your creative ramblings and it always gives me so much inspiration to let loose and be more creative with my own art!
In the back of my head I was screaming “placement of the vanishing point determines your horizon line” the whole video, but watching Rin experiment was a learning experience for me too!
@@ghost_shivers5276 basically you draw a horizontal line and that becomes your horizon. You put your vanishing points on that line. Hope this clears it up😊
@@ghost_shivers5276 To expand on @37FlyingPotatos explanation, if you place your vanishing point(s) lower in your composition, then your image will be a “looking upward” view, and if you place them higher in your composition then you will create a downward view. Looking up 2-pt perspective guides make it a lot easier to understand than trying to write it out though lol
Rin: Openly exclaims how she loves the gradient Me: *instantly internally screams in non-discernible happy noises* Also me: Loves the entire color pallete and gradient
Me: yay waffles posted! **pulls out sketchbook and pencil to draw along** **sets down pencil for ONE SECOND to go grab a water real quick** The pencil: YeEt CyA bYe!!!!! **rolls off desk** Me: **comes back** Uhhhhh... crap **spends next five minutes looking for the pencil** **finally finds it** It was in my plant by my desk wth. Also this really happened I’m not making this up. 🤣🤣🤣
Me being frustrated because I had a futuristic/cyberpunk themed dream and I want to draw it but my motivation/execution said no: Rin: Hello there! Literally a lifesaver :')💜
This is so good :0 Would you consider ever doing a spread of big cats? Like tigers and some leopards/ snow leopards? I would really enjoy watching that! 😊
U really always inspire to get out of my comfort zone! I'm gonna try and follow along since I've never really tried drawing buildings but hey! Who knows? Maybe I'm really good but I've just never tried!
tell me why when I saw the highlighter I got childhood viBez when I was in 5th grade and I loved using those type of highlighters. my friend called them "magic sticks" XD love you viddSss!
honestly as a beginner in perspective myself it's actually more helpful to watch ANOTHER beginner figure it out and see how they learn than an expert explaining it to me because very often that just goes over my head.
As an architecture student this made me unbelievably happy! Its so much fun getting to see someone go at it creatively and with an artists visual sense rather than a 3D sense. Very cool to see you try something out of the box!
These are so gorgeous?? Using this colour scheme to brighten up my work-notes, today. 💕 Also, YES to learning more about perspective. It's so fun and satisfying to watch Rin try and understand something new, especially when it suddenly clicks.
Honestly the one you were so confused drawing was my favorite piece of the whole video! Its unique and gives that fantasy feel with the colors and I just love the warped perspective. Kudos!
Actually was really excited when I saw the title. I’ve always wanted to get into drawing landscapes and houses and all that stuff but was really scared of perspective and trying to figure out how that works on my own. Every time I watched someone draw a building I always felt like this overpowering urge to do it too and it just made me really happy. So if you like drawing this type of stuff I feel like it could be really fun to learn with you!! And it would give me a little nudge into the journey of landscape drawing :)))
Ahhh 5 minutes ago! I’ve never been so blessed to see a video this quick. So I have a quick question. Do you subscribe to all these different boxes or do they just send them to you randomly? If you subscribe, which box is best for the price? Maybe you could do a comparison video cause I see so many of these videos and never know what box is best or what they come with consistently
I'm currently only unboxing ones that are sent to me. I have ordered some in the past. That is a really cool idea. The issue with it is, after unboxing so many I've discovered they are very different from each other and it's hard to call a winner? you know. it depends where you live, budget, favorite mediums etc.
@@drawingwiffwaffles Maybe if you did a comparison you could list the pros and cons of each different box and leave it open ended?? So then you wouldn’t need to choose a winner :)
This edition of the zenpop box is a huge step forward. I love that you get some stuff by a featured artist. And this one is amazing. I hope they keep this up. 😁
I loooooovve drawing buildings and using perspective, so I was happy to see someone else enjoying it too!! Especially since most people say they don’t like it
OH MY FREAKING GOD YOU REPLIED BSJABDBDJSBDIBCSCJDBCIDCBI$CBCJSCBE I JUST SCREAMED (MY DAD LOOKED AT ME LIKE I WAS CRAZY) BUT ANYWAY ILYSM WAFFLES!!!!! ❤️
This video gave me a 'happy place' feeling. I was just in the moment enjoying the colors and feeling 100% happy to be just where I was. That was weird but incredibly nice. Thank you!
I'd absolutly love to watch another video of yours on perspective and building/background drawing because I also struggle a lot with that and it's just so fun to draw along with you and find out about new things and new ways to draw :)
I'd love to see more drawing buildings and perspective videos! It's something I want to get better at as well, and I like seeing other artists learning more about what I am trying to improve myself. Makes it feel like we're all working together. :D
OH! iTs PinK!!!! :O ***Tiny squeal*** Her: Ewww its Greasy!! Me: Wait, highlighters can be greasy????? I never knew dat!! P.s: Gurlllll you are the only thing i watch during quarantine! Also, how are you so fRiGgiN talented!!!
I loved this video! Last video when you drew Everest's house I was like "Oh, I'd love to see a video of her drawing buildings, it looks so pretty!" so I definitely put myself up for a treat with this week's video. I am happy to see you're happier this week, I love when you draw something that makes you happy because your happiness is contagious! Lovely buildings! Can't wait for next week! You're my primary source of serotonin! Love! xoxo 💖😁
I find my current mood and confidence as well as if I feel intimidated SUPER effect my ability to use perspective! I'd love to see more and incorporating people in full backgrounds using perspective! Fun stuff thanks.
I've always HATED dealing with perspective and drawing scenery...so a video on that would be SO APPRECIATED!!! Like I'm already inspired to draw my own buildings!
I believe you are most interesting when your learning something new! I am glad your discovering perspective and I look forward to more drawings of architecture! Even pastel buildings are cool from your point of view! Thanks Rin, you keep going and going!
I'm starting college in 2 weeks and you give me so much inspiration to draw. I already know I'm going to be coming back to your channel daily so that I can learn new techniques 💜
This was so great! I'm so used to seeing you draw (mostly) people, so to see you do perspective work is really exciting (especially since that's something I'm trying to work on-- seeing other cool people's take on it is great).
Omg 😱! I can’t believe this ! In ur last video I just told ya abt my obsession with buildings and here’s the video! I love the color palette too! 🤩Might try this out in my sketchbook!😃
I love how when Rin messes up in her art she just says, "oh well, I'll learn from that next time" meanwhile when I mess up, " AaAAaaRGgHhhHhHhH NoooOOOoOoOoooOoOO" *rips up sketchbook*
This video was really cool (and helpful in two ways!) to watch because I'm taking the second part to my architecture/engineering class and we play a lot with 2-point and 3-point perspective. Also, I'm kinda stressing out a lot, so this was very helpful and calming to watch. Thank you so much for being you, Waffles! 🧇 💜
Omg !!! I have been trying to find ur channel for a few months now I used to watch your vids back when I didn't have a RU-vid account I'm so happy now imma just watch all the vids that I missed :P by the way I just wanted to say ur art style is so pretty and different from most artists i honestly look up to ur art a lot its amazing ❤❤❤
