Folding the winner (trip Jacks) isn't the worst thing to do when you're having a losing session, but it sure gets that free rent in your headspace for a bit. Thanks again for sharing and taking the time to produce the content. Always enjoy it!

QJ hand usually if someone is raising all in on the river, they have a pretty nutted hand. Sometimes in poker, you just get outplayed and that’s part of the game. It happens from time to time to everyone, so it’s not a big deal.

You almost hit the trifecta!! 1. QJ always flops a pair. 2. J62 most common flop/run out. 3. River is usually a 2 or 7. You only missed the 2 on the river with your QJ hand.

In the QJhh hand the villain is very capped by his flop check-back. We know he isn't trapping with JJ and it would be unlikely for him to check back middle set or top two. All the draws miss by the river so he is drowning in air and has very few value hands that can call a bet. Betting a jack for value doesn't make much sense as you lose or chop with AJ/KJ/QJ so checking river is the play, or betting small to induce the bluff-raise. Bet-folding this hand is nonsensical because he has virtually no value hands.

U NEVER fold trip Js in that spot. Whats the point of betting during the flow of the hand by thinking your top pair Q kicker is good on flop and river? Then u hit trips and u fold to a raise? His raise made ZERO sense other than him bluffing with a hand like AK! Or at the very least he coulda also had QJ. Or J10 J9 even J8 suited or something like those weaker J hands. Which u obviously dominate/win against! Normally u make solid plays but that one was HORRIBLE bro! In those spots u get stuck because ur over thinking the room! Over thinking or out smarting yourself essentially!

He made one big error in that hand imo. His perception was that his opponent thought he had a jack or nothing. If that were true, I can understand the temptation to fold with the way a lot of live games play. When you’re betting a polarized range on the river, however, generally very large bets are favored. Ben bet 1/3, which he could easily be doing with a ten with the way the flop action went. If they were deeper and he had bet huge on the river, I’d be ok with a fold. As played, folding QJ was incredibly nitty.
