from what I have seen in cheater-interviews, it's a fairly common gateway to regular cheating. A lot of games (namely, counterstrike) with shit anticheat feel so impossible to play when there's cheaters, so people will white knight cheat. eventually they stop pretending they're doing anyone a favor and admit it's an ego thing

@@Kahmgg i was in the cs scene a while back and had a friend that could code cs cheats. he made us a cheat that you make only use features on the people u choose. aka i choose only wallhacks on cheater and i dont get an advantage on the legits. it made it fair and would normally mean the games ended really close score wise.
