Today on Bedrock Minecraft I have dug 100 K blocks for the giant catacomb system under the shopping town of our youtuber server!

Definitely needs more layers. Could have cave ins where the basements of other builds block the way. Gives an excuse why the sewers aren’t interconnected.

7:50 Since they are drowned, why not the rewarding item be a ‘Heart of the sea’, just a casual rare reward that can be used in minecraft gameplay

Honestly I ADORE how you seemingly playfully integrate game-design theory and mini mini-games into your sewers. This is the best metroidvania I never played! 10:02 You shouldn't cover this cave. It's a scenery, and another secret way in (through a fun ore-infested level that you didn't need to make). Also consider making slimes appear from a pipe, being covered by water into the main corridor. Also you can make sewers lush, like overgrown, it never looked bad. Also you can add a whole-ass swamp in there (an open location) just 'cos you can. Also make a collapced ceiling in there somewhere. Also you don't really need to chamge floors and walls and ceiling out of a different matirial, you can leave stone there and I doubt a lot of people will notice. Just sharing ideas, to combat burnout.

if u hit a lightning rod with a chanelling trident during normal rain (doesn't even need to be a thunderstorm) it will summon lightning You can also move the rod back and forth with a piston and it will keep summoning lightning for you Very fun for parties

Zombie I am so hungry the reward should be a stick named something. So they have to use it to open another secret. That secret will reward a Netherite ingot.

I think there should be a few more steps to the trading sequence, and the final reward should be the map to the final use of the secret tomes. That way, it is not a required thing, as a player can find it without a map, but it can help players clever enough to solve your puzzles.

Or a riddle about how to use them, etc. Basically, the reward for the trading sequence is a hint that is not necessary, but makes something easier.

I think it'd be fun to have the underground market transmission into other things. So the area directly under the main shops is a sewer that slowly transitions into a dungeon to fight the slime which becomes a catacomb ext ext. Maybe more work but I like the idea of "districts". Think hollow knight

an idea for the tunnels: a fish shop in a cistern, because some old cities used to raise fish in the cisterns that held the city's water supply, both for food and to warn them if the water supply had been poisoned.

for the manhole cover, water blasting out of the ground with soul sand. If you throw a coin into the manhole cover you can fall through

A sewer in the upper level, then some kind of dungeon with the slimes and zombie spawner, then some catacombs. And lastly a labyrinth of horror at the bottom of the world. So Sloy has total control of the underground of Spawn Town/ Shopping District.

3:09 ya know a ninja turtle selling wood isnt that bad zloy. your black market wood shop is in the sewers. maybe add in some pizza(?) to finish the effect?

Many roads have storm drains along the sides. Maybe you build a storm drain access with iron bars? Maybe drains with the copper mesh block?

Maybe the catacombs could be a hybrid of sewer interconnectedness and a ruins of the past civilisation that the zombies are continuing? And if there are zombies there, maybe the spawner could provide a re-usable morality challenge where all the zombies are renamed in a way that's clear they're citizens and they can't harm the player much but maybe are just panicking, so whether the player kills them or not affects what's available to the player somehow, idk if you could get a sculk sensor to detect mob death only and that starts a timer for a cooldown of the "someone has been killed" and whatever that does to change the dungeon/town?

I would think if some of the sewers collapsed and they exposed the catacombs below. That would be a way to tie in the catacombs and not have the sewers being "pods" like you suggested. And for the "stew" they can get "aged rotten zombie brains" which is a waxed aged cut copper block that can be used as a key into either all the sewers or a 1 time use shop. And that shop can be super cheap which would make them have to keep doing the beetroot trade going into that wood shop if they want to get access to the special shop again

All is fair in love and shops! You build secret sewers under other people’s shops, so it seems fair that people build shops on the side of yous! And does this mean in future you will decorate all sides of your shop?😂

I don't know if any of the crafted food recipes in vanilla Minecraft would taste good, if I'm honest. They range from bland to deadly. Cooking meat in an 'oven' doesn't count as a crafted food (IMHO) so you can't count roast chicken. 🤣

I think a good reward, if it is just going to be a souvenir reward, would be a potion of poison, renamed "Cheap Wine" (Or grog, ale, etc)

That cow skull looked so cool that I actually thought that it was just you decorating the outside of your wood shop. Never it occurred to me that it might be someone else's shop entirely.
