It's a Hilux. They never made it worse, they just adapted with the times. To be honest the new hiluxes are far far better than the old ones.

They don’t sell it in the US because everytime they try the US passes new laws to stop them from selling. Practically the only truck they’ve managed to push through is the Tacoma, which is just a slightly shittier Hilux in most ways
