Why do you hate barbie so much? like just because she’s the main character in the show doesnt mean she should be hated. The only thing bad about her is the unrealistic toxic beauty standard but y’all acting like raquelle doesn’t have the same body. They’re both equally unrealistic, also raquelle and ryan are kinda creepy when it comes to barbie and ken. I’m not a barbie stan and I really love raquelle but sis it doesnt mean you have to hate on barbie. You kinda remind of the bisexuals who say they are bi but dont wanna date any girls EVER and say that pansexuals are bisexuals. No hate though.
@@hottea4327 we don’t “hate” Barbie. And for most of us, Raquel and Ryan aren’t creepy. The comment is right, in most Shows they do make Barbie so perfect that she’s dull. The comment wasn’t made to be taken serious at all, it was just a funny joke that many people found ya know, *funny*

I just realised that the way Ryan imagines Barbie would react to Ken’s gifts is eerily similar to how Raquelle acts - which has pretty disturbing implications
I actually love this show because they decided to play up how much of a perfect Mary Sue barbie is and it makes for such a good dynamic with the other characters, especially Raquelle, it feels like the perfect satire of a barbie movie and I’m honestly obsessed

I honestly like the charm of having Barbie and ken be perfect and Rachel and Ryan having so much personality it’s an inside joke on how perfect Barbie is always shown to be in movies and just as a doll

i think the difference between barbie and raquelle is a lesson we need to remember, raquelle is pretty but depends on everyone else's validation for it, she'd easily be broken down if someone called her ugly, but barbie won't she'll just act like she didn't understand what they mean or just walk away smiling ignoring that and not giving the slightest reaction. thats how it usually is irl, people who are confident dont try to show it or either act insecure. they're just normally going on, they dont make thirst traps on tiktok to prove they're beautiful or anything either
