Loved it....hell of a journey.....being involved and putting on a show is not embarrassing, its awesome. Everyone has to start somewhere,...now you know what to improve for the next one!
@@HitchinMitch lots of options: explorer/mountaineer v8 swap is pretty popular, an LS swap (built Ford tough with Chevy stuff, lol), 5.0 swap, etc. I'll be watching to see what you end up doing
@@UnhungHero Not gonna lie, I'm half tempted to keep the 3.0 and push it to it's limits 😂 But at some point I'd like to do a complete build, and I'd like to stick with ford. I know the ls would make good power and is a good engine.
@@HitchinMitch the 3.Slow is a solid engine, very hard to kill. There's a reason they made more rangers with that engine than any other. Could make the basis for a good mod engine, they didn't design it for speed but there are options. Pair that with some 4.10 (4.88 or 5.13 if it's an 8.8" rear) gears behind it, and it'll spin rubber for days
@@UnhungHero that's why I'm throwing around the idea of keeping it. It's similar to the 302 just two Les cylinders. Yea it slow, but throw some boost at it. I've seen it done but haven't seen people really using them. If I haven't been able to kill the engine with what I've done to it! Gearing would help alot, it's got the 8.8 with 3.73 currently.
