Good shit dude, was a pleasure playing and catching the dub. Btw using discord through my android speakerphone makes me sound like I'm in an old call of duty lobby lmao.
@@shapshane8241 the reasons why people would approach like this looks so idiotic to me. I've already said that I respect their skill in my comment above, and i'm aware that they are better duelist then me. What am saying is that this shit is boring, being the best in the world in ER duels means you are the best in boring shit. What does that have anything to do whit my personal skill? It looks more of a you ego problem then mine.
I just started invading today and I have to give you guys credit, I've been tea bagged so much that I could supply the UK with tea for the next 10 years. Japanese laggers, overleveled summons and aoe spammers. Hopefully I'll become better and ill definitely be invading more now that I know how cheese and miserable 3v1s are
When almost all players use the same weapons or at least use the same style of dual wielding lance type weapons out of the wide variety of weapons, you know this game has serious meta or balancing problem. 😅
Duos (In any competitive game) has much less chaotic comms, for obvious reasons, and so I feel it's more tense as opposed to 4 people. And it's harder to have anyone feel left out because your team is always gonna be focusing on communicating to you since "your team" is only one other person. I like Partner games a lot as a spectator and as a player instead of the seemingly standard 4v4.
Was there a deliberate strategy for Marko to lead one of them into you? Because that worked really well. Their strategy seemed to be trying to double-team one of you which didn’t work because they weren’t hitting Marko enough. Which now makes me want to know how he is so good at defense.
Pvers in the comments be like "waahhh boring all dual lances everyone uses the same thing" but when they are called out for using the same online guide builds they go "let people play how they want!!!!"
@@abrahamrangel2326 I mean I get why they are all using it and I found it boring. It's not crazy to see a tournament full of PSGS users and be "meh" about it
I take PvP in every game very serious. Yes tourny players are going to use meta, but Fromsoft games are some of the very few where "meta" is one or 2 setups from game to game. Your average fighting games have much much more variety. Honestly it speaks negatively of the game when meta is so polarized on one choice. That said I love PvP in these games, but the meta is in fact overly stale from any competitive standpoint.
Shit like this makes me wanna do tourneys and fight better more patient people, It's just eay too hard to make a name in the souls community though to get invited to these things 😅😭
Ggs man but I wish a darkhorse player with style could go crazy against the top 1%. Would love to watch that. Imo the poke meta should’ve been replaced a while ago.
This was cool, though I think there must be a better way to milk this than to upload the final and spoiling it straight away, you should play your cards better and create some hype.
Holy hell we need another patch. Its alllll psgs Well theres one power stanced small spear user I dont want psgs nerfed though unreactable attacks are a good thing. I want everything else buffed.
Yeah PSGS is particularly good in team fights which is why 3/4 players ran it. In 1v1 it is outclassed by stuff like psss, pss, psk and thrusting sword.
Seeing high lv duels still a bit boring since there’s a lot of mirrors and not a lot of variety but the gameplay has improved a lot since launch. seeing those pre-arena updates duels hurts the eye
wouldbe more enjoyable if not everyone plays with this stupid lance bullshit ...i mean ofc its not ur fault, but it is rly boring they didnt tune weapons to an spot where u can use some kind of variation
@@a_n1441 I know. I'm saying it comes off boring to watch when everybody plays the same with the same set ups. At least for me It's like "Wow he roll cought him with a third consecutive crouch poke in a row. This is so cool and intense 😮" Like cmon haha I'm not even trying to hate. Just being honest
@@UncleGael1999 to me psgs is literally the least boring setup in the entire game, it takes a lot of gamesense and mechanical skill to play, and it forces you to read your opponent, even more so when playing against it, taking the gameplay to a more interesting place than just reaction roll everything. to each their own i guess
It was fun watching these fights, but im seriously not delighted about the organization and the stream itself, i hope they learn from this, rather than dropping 2v2 tournies or keep going how they were doing last time. Ruleset sad no healing, and everyone was, first draw in match giving +1 to both ends (thats why we got a draw final round which for a viewer can be disappointing), and dont forget to mention as far as i know in the finals bo9 switched to bo5 without the consent of both teams. The stream notifications hiding the entire match as cherry on top.. Some people got toxic on you two but it has to do nothing with you, its just my complaint with the organization and hopefully they improve for next time. If i were you id take the win too.
Hey ungone, I’m one of the organizers of the event. Totally feel you, there were a lot of mistakes as far as stuff on our end for this first 2v2 event, ranging from UI issues to ruling and some other minor issues. Hope to say tho that we’ve definitely taken note of all the big and little things we can do to improve moving forward and I can confidently say we’re much, much more prepared for the next one. We want to do not just the viewers justice but all the contestants as well, and make sure everyone feels fairly treated moving forward (cuz like I said, there were some obvious mistakes). But appreciate your criticisms and care bro 👍
@@cleveythank you bro and now im getting excited for the follow up tournies. I heard was legit the first tournament you guys did, and compared to that it was pretty okkay. Theres no learning without mistakes, keep up
@@clevey tie going to winner like this grand finals is cool and unique, i kind of dig it as a new mode of play for sorting out ties in clinch games. it's at least aesthetically, timely; tighter than Bo5's spiraling out into Bo7's, 9's; in many cases.
So they beat you in winners finals bo5 and you only needed to beat them one bo5 to win grand finals? That doesn't seem correct, fighting game tournaments always have the Losers side participant needing to win 2 sets, because you are 1 and 1 if you win just 1 set.
Inservin beat them in the semis. Jee and Marko won the losers bracket and advanced to the finals. They beat inservin in the finals and grand finals aka back to back
As explained in the vid, we did 3 bo5. we lost the first bo5, and won the 2nd and 3rd bo5 vs the same team. Winners finals lost = we get sent down to losers bracket. Losers finals, won = we get in the finals vs the team we lost again. Finals won = both team lost one bo5 each so the bracket resets for a grand finals. Grand finals = whoever wins this last bo5 wins.
So... The tournament banned dual nagis and pikes but allowed lances? Sorry but I'm never gonna buy the excuse that lances are harder to use. Ban both so other weapon types can exist.
Souls PvP is like that. Meta has small variety, and it's too easy to run and create space. Every. Single. Game. It's fun though, just don't take it too serious. It's a dead end.
I know you guys are forced to run these disgusting toxic builds because they are the meta, but my god, as a viewer, these silly builds are vomit-inducing. Also the constant phantom hits on both sides is quite insane, is everyone participating running a VPN or something? Anyway, glad you guys had fun, and congrats on the win!
PSGS is very good in team fights because of its good 1v1 potential combined with the crazy damage on its jr2s being very good for doing surprise target switches. With a cash prize people are going to gravitate towards stronger options.
