“Rob will understand” it’s the kind of thing someone will say when they start taking advantage of someone else’s kindness. Rob deserves better. That was a low blow.

OP needs to have Rob officially adopt her. It's the only gesture that could possibly be big enough to reflect how much he means to her.

The problem with OP is that after her husband told her what she did to Rob there was never an apology given to him. She just stated she cried after the realization and then moved on with her life instead of making it right and that is where she is TA. So many times people around her tried to make her realize and she did nothing

When I got married, I had both my dad and stepdad walk me down the aisle. My stepdad and I were really close, so I couldn't exclude him.

OP Could have done either one of the two following things; 1) have them both walk her down the isle 2) pick one to walk her down the isle and then the other would be the one to have a special father/daughter dance with Just a thought

She should put together a scrap book with photos of them throughout the years and gift it to him. It would probably make Rob feel loved.

I get why it is a nuanced situation, however one is a dad and one is a father. My dad (step dad but stepped up and raised me and has since passed) told me, if I chose to tell him “your are not my dad” he will not act like it. He was the best man I’ve ever met. But even he had boundaries. I think that the child is incredibly ungrateful and doesn’t understand the impact of her actions. I don’t understand people like this. One person CHOSE you. The other person got stuck and after years and years of reflection decided they didn’t want to miss the biggest moment of your life. For Rob; she can’t make that up. We wouldn’t think that the parents of a bride or groom could make up not attending a wedding. Why do we think she can make this up? The relationship can be fixed, but they will never get that moment back.

You can have BOTH, have the bio start the walk and hand daughter over to Rob to finish the walk. That's what I did! Everyone was happy with the choice.

29:52 As an asexual/graysexual myself, I understand both sides. But let me clear something out. Being in the spectrum of asexuality is not really about libido. An asexual person can have high libido but only feels comfortable doing it alone than with someone. It's mostly about sexual attraction to someone. So imagine you're asexual and someone is desperately trying to seduce you or something, you will feel almost nothing or very little sexual reaction, if nothing at all. Graysexual is in the spectrum of asexuality. It's the literal "little to no sexual attraction" to someone, but with an exemption. They/We can be comfortable doing it with 1 person only, could be several others, but very select person/s. May there be emotional connection or not. In short, little to no sexual attraction to a SELECT person/persons with/without emotional connection. There was a story read here before about an asexual wife feeling like they're being used. I understand that too. Why? Because if we force ourselves and realizes we're suddenly uncomfortable in the middle of it, it feels AWFUL. And I did feel like being used and kind of r-word-ish because I forced myself to continue to try to enjoy it; can't say no or stop because I/we don't want to disappoint the partner. To relate that to the story, it's the drinking part. Now this might be a hot take but please don't bash me. Haha 😂 Yes, of course, drinking just to get to the point where you don't care what happens is not good. But she could be really uncomfortable doing it. She could be forcing it. Don't really know. And yes, of course, therapy is the best thing to do. BUT for countries like ours, therapy is a luxury. Very unaffordable. So being a graysexual myself, I do drink to get myself to the point where I'm comfortable to do it and to actually enjoy it. Of course not getting wasted, just the happy comfy feeling. Getting wasted, like OP's girlfriend is doing, is of course not good AT ALL. Also, the difference between us is that, my partner and I have talked and discussed this, we agreed that if ever I feel like doing it too but not quite there yet or there's a big possibility I can't get through to the end and might feel extremely uncomfortable suddenly, then I'll drink a little. Because again, can't afford therapy so all we could do was talk and get into an agreement. And yes, by getting a bit tipsy, I get to enjoy it, we both enjoy it. I'm not defending OP'S girlfriend at all. She probably is within the asexual spectrum so not wanting or having no interest in doing it is very understandable. But not wanting to communicate with OP AT. ALL. is definitely a red flag. So OP's girlfriend is still definitely the AH for the lack of willingness to communicate. And continuing the relationship will be moot point if they can't find the middle ground. So OP should have broken it off after several attempts of getting his girlfriend at least tall about the issue.

With the second story: I am asexual and I agree soooo much that it's important to talk to your partner about both party's needs!! Not all asexuals have low libido and some of them are hypersexual even. But, my partner and I have our situation set to how we want it, but I have even given them the option to open our relationship for physical needs if they felt they wanted to (which my partner refused) Physical needs are absolutely relationship breaking if they're not talked about...

So I had my stepdad and my grandpa walk me down the aisle one in each arm. Bio dad declined (we didn’t have much of a relationship) to even come to my wedding much less walk me down the aisle. So I asked the 2 men who were always there for me. Wish I could add a picture lol Honestly I had decided while planning that me bio dad didn’t deserve to walk me down the aisle, so even if he can, he still wouldn’t have been allowed done it.

OP is an entitled person that was always given everything. Everything was paid for her; school, house, wedding, etc. She has never had to work for anything but on top of not having to work for anything she was given a massive amount of love from her parents whereas some people who had everything handed to them were missing that part. I suppose that is what people want to do for their kids but sometimes I question if having all of that is best because it makes people unable to emphasize with others or appreciate their family.

Showed more "empathy" for OP than Rob. What's worse is OP was more likely embarrassed then actually feeling remorse. She had to have everyone tell her something was wrong and to make her feel discomfort of what she had already did. People who truly learn can take the harsh words and criticismsand will not try at all when they hear abudant amount amounts of sympathy.

Please make a separate channel for her so that those who dont mind her character can watch her elsewhere - it's isolating some of your audience by keeping her in the main lineup when we didn't subscribe for her initially.
