I have a theological theory:We end up worshipping an inherently flawed concept of God in our minds. I was brought up Catholic and showed artistic talent very young,so I was very familiar with the old Italian Renaissance paintings of God as an old white man with a long, white beard in a blue robe. It's pretty indelible. I wonder now if that flawed concept in my mind is the last idol to be smashed.

Just at the end of Brianna's discussion, I suddenly realized that most of the NDE's I've heard have been either from the Catholic faith or a faith that talked of 'being saved'. And it made me realize that the more Liberal Jewish faith that I was raised in never talked of worship in the context of having to believe in a certain way or I would 'not be saved'. It was a very gentle, loving Rabbi and congregation and he spoke of loving others as being our pathway. I was not at all 'religious'---but I associated my religion with loving others. I am now realizing how difficult some others have struggled with all the 'rules' of their faith. It is strange that I never really thought about this until I heard so many NDE's trying to overcome certain facets of their religious upbringing. I never was taught the concept of 'sin'. Hi Lynn. Yes many have grown up with religious teachings that are hard to move past even when they don’t feel right in our hearts and minds. It can be a real blessing to be free of religious guilt.

I do hope that you have now found inner peace from your understanding and shedding of the more frightening aspects of your religious upbringing. I listen to stories like yours where people's faith, instead of instilling love and compassion, teaches a type of fear that must make it so difficult to get beyond the guilt. This episode was as interesting and informative as the first one with Bri. I have a chronic condition too (MS). I will concentrate on raising my vibration to love and compassion in my thoughts and meditation as she suggests. I have subscribed to your channel and have gotten a lot out of it. I had a similar response to Dr. Eben Alexander as you did (love, awe and gratitude). I read his first book “Proof of Heaven.” Currently reading “Living in a Mindful Universe.” Seeing parallels in his message, Bri’s and your other guests. We live in a multiverse of vibration. MS has slowed me way down. I have an opportunity to spend time and effort learning more about these things. At the least, it will be worth doing. At most, I want to see if I can improve my health using raising my vibration as an augment to conventional treatment. Thanks for doing this.

Brianna asks the right questions, and questions the teachings we have all been given from our culture and religion. It's always good to remember that the ancient concepts of God in all religions have come to us through mortals like us. Jesus, Muhammed and Buddha, for example, didn't write anything. Mortals like us passed on the ideas of these Divine Luminaries with the best intentions, but in the process introduced their own human limitations and biases by the words they used. Just within Christianity itself we can find different understandings of God. NDE's probably give us a more accurate picture of the diety.....pure Light, Love, Knowledge and limitlessness. Maybe the most we can say is that the essence of God is unknowable, that we can only hope to understand the attributes of God to a limited degree through the world's Holy Scriptures, through the lives of the Divine Luminaries, and the Creation of God, this limitless universe we're just beginning to comprehend. Briana also mentions the sense of unity in her NDE, that we're all one, that separation is an illusion. Unity is the result of love and peace. The Baha'i concept is that love and unity is the core and purpose of all religions. We all tend to forget this and get off track from our purpose, so this message is repeated from age to age, to get us back on track and to tailor the message to new conditions. We've developed over many thousands of years from social units of families and clans, to tribes, to city-states and nations, and now we're in the process of organizing humanity as a planetary family. This is the ultimate level of unity on our planet and it will happen because it's where unity leads, it's divine. NDE's are a gift from God for some to experience that divine unity of heaven, that peace and blissfulness, that we can know that it's possible and desirable. We all want that for ourselves, for our children and for the world. Christianity looks forward to this as the Kingdom of God on earth. All religions speak of this ultimate unity on earth.

Jesus may not have actually written anything down---but the people who were around Him did--and therefore wrote down a lot of what He said. And they stood by what they wrote--to the point that they were willing to give up their very lives for it. Even so...there is so much more to the picture that we are not given...we are going to have many surprises. Somehow, this all comes together in a unified thread. And yes, I agree that NDE's are a gift from God as well. ♥

how one deals, as an individual, with horrible issues such as the Israel-Palestine and Russia-Ukraine conflicts is a major problem. as a human being, one has the duty to keep informed about these and, if articulate enough, possibly contribute to campaigns aimed at hastening a resolution. and yes, doing so will cause us stress, make us live much of the time in survival mode. how does one find balance? not sure anyone has a clear-cut solution... there does seem to be a mighty truth in this: attaining serenity is critical. especially when ND experiencers tells us that how will feel has a massive impact. I guess that prioritising meditation over campaigning is a valid position, especially in view of the sheer range of issues in the world is concerned, which are just too much for anyone to deal with.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I can see why these conflicts/wars are concerning to you and so many others. It is heartbreaking to see. Unfortunately, I think there are a lot of issues around the world in addition to these and it would be overwhelming to fight for every injustice. I think we all have things near and dear to us that we work to find resolution to. For some it may be poverty, or animal welfare, giving extra attention to students who need it, helping the homeless, Protecting wildlife, or rainforests, helping those with drug addiction, spreading kindness, helping elderly neighbors or family, and so on and on. As you said, maybe something like meditation can make a difference. We have to find things that resonate in our hearts. It doesn’t mean that other issues aren’t important but we all have to choose what ways we want to contribute to society and that will be different for everyone. Thank you for having a heart of concern.

This is such a powerful testimony 🙏 I have been worried about my drinking in the past and what it’s done to my body in spite of being sober now. Bri’s reminder that our thoughts create our reality is both terrifying and a relief 😂 If we have the power within then we can do something about that which we fear. I do have a question for NDE’ers….if there’s an outline to the life we have chosen is there really much we can do to change the experience? I do know there have been plenty of times I should’ve turned left but turned right instead. If there was karma or other experiences I was supposed to have when I chose to come here, is there really something we can do to change course???

Great question Ali. I will leave it up to Near Death Experiencers to answer but I will share a couple of things I have learned. One Near Death Experiencer told me that God is like a GPS system. Every time we take the wrong turn he reroutes us and guides us back to the destination. If we take another bad turn he will reroute us again. The second thing I have learned from many Near Death Experiencers is that we do have key events that are planned in our lives but there are a lot of things we fill in with our choices. I hope that helps and hopefully you’ll hear directly from some others who have had an experience.

This shows that most people who have NDE's get a limited view of the next life. Yet - many come back and talk as if they have GOD and the whole plan figured out. At best, they are given a partial look at the soul processing area...

The fact that our empathy, when present, reaches only to our own specie, is fatal. As long as we consider animals fair game for whatever we want out of them, the very foundations of reality for h. sapiens is wrong. We don t even want to consider that because of practicality in terms of food availability. be as it may, if we did not have 8 thousand million on the planet we could afford to allow every specie and ecosystem to thrive as if we were not there. Which is our responsibility. But we are not that smart or that empathic, and bc we acted as children, we are now having to deal with earth warming to a degree that will make millions unable to resist the heat. We could have done it differently, but that would mean being a different specie.

Near-death experiences are just little re-runs of the scene in the Garden at the dawn of time. Questioning God (“Yea, hath God said…?” Gen 3:1 KJV; “Ye shall not surely die,” Gen 3:4 KJV; “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Gen 3:5 KJV). The quest for eternal life and esoteric knowledge is still the hook our enemy uses. He’s still keeping his promise to “be like the Most High,” Isaiah 14:14 KJV. He’s the original snake oil salesman! Remember what I said about the prior video that Bri claimed she had been “saved” by believing in “Jesus” and I said that I bet she never completely trusted Christ and here she is admitting that she had/has doubts about salvation. Only those not yet sealed - and protected from demons - by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30 KJV) by completely trusting their soul to Jesus Christ for safekeeping can be tricked into going down a spiritual path that leads only to the grave and not to everlasting life. 😢

@@Beyond_with_Heather_Tesch Fairy tales are likely more comforting than the truth. But many of us have the simple courage to look for evidence for what is likely to be true of life on this Earth. We are Homo Sapiens. The last surviving species of humans, outliving at least eight other species. Our own ancestors never saw a city, a book, a school, a church, a house, etc. They didn't know what the lights in the night sky were, or where the sun went at night. So we are the lucky ones. We have walked this Earth for at least 300,000 years and it's incredible that we're here at all. And that simple fact is more real and more fascinating than any fairy tale. But to each their own, as the saying goes.

I've never heard of fairies in heaven but from time immemorial humans have instinctively believed in a higher power. We all have that spark of God given life in us. Without it we would not have been able to invent and create the things you've mentioned. One single account of heaven from an NDEer might be seen as a dream or hallucination. A few accounts that have similarities might be still be classed as anecdotal but hundreds of NDE reports are seen as data by many scientists and the medical profession. I feel that you just couldn't make this up! It is beyond earthly knowledge.
