I EXPERIENCED GHANA LIFE IN A TYPICAL VILLAGE | LIVING IN GHANA AND COOKING GHANAIAN FOOD
This video was filmed in Bimbilla a village about 3hours drive from Tamale Northern Ghana. We spend the day in a Ghanaian household while cooking traditional Ghanaian food. I hope this video gives you a glimpse in to the Ghana life and how people live outside Accra.

Hi Jasmine ! Thank you for taking us with you to experience life in a Ghana Village. I thank the family you visit. Very nice people. When you see how others live, even though they may not have much, they are thriving and surviving on much less then we are and we still complain, while she smiles such a beautiful smile. Food for thought..

The leaves are called bira in Dagbanle and bito further up North. It's a hibiscus plant. When the start seeding they produce a fleshy sheaf covering a pod within which the seeds are contained. The fleshy sheaf can also be used for the same peanut butter soup they make with the leaves. More importantly the red variety is used to make the popular healthy drink sobo.
