Being a Ex-Employee of Serena and beng part of FRONT OFFICE TEAM and seeing my ex colleagues standing clueless and have no idea what they are doing it gives me immense disappointment, don't know where are seniors at the peak time??? It was CHECK IN time and no senior was there to help juniors! That lady was ex colleague of mine and seeing her like that was extreme disappointment!!! Don't know where are GUEST SERVICES Team! Really have no idea what is going on in Serena! Well, while concluding i would say that you have given best review and when seniors were not there things like that would happen!!! Serena Management is sleeping Head office is sleeping let them sleep and let them earn money as much as they can, they don't care about their employees and staff at all. Well guys what when it's your first month they make you stand in front office to deal with guests, reason because they can't treat their employees well so every second person leave! Cheers

okay as a pakistani trust me the only reason why this hotel is expensive is because of its history and size most hotels which are like 50 dollars are way more luxorious spacious clean and organized i have been to serena hotel and that was the worst hotel ive ever been to and i didnt even know that this was a five star hotel.and the reason why the rooms were unclean and a bit dirty is because they have like 4 mins to clean

back in 2017, i was in Pakistan, and I ordered pizza and ask the guy on the phone like how long it gonna take, and he said 45 mins. i called them back after 1:30 and he was like another 45 mins because there was load shading.

As a Pakistani i thought chris would give his honest opinion but i feel like he was little biased. I dont think that for 300 thats mostly 3 months salary of an average person gives you that out dated room? I mean chris like you said room looks fine but rather sleep in an old farmer shed than paying that much on a so called 5 star. They just claim they’re 5 star but they’re not. Im not happy with how the service was, ppl at the checkout counter seems to ignore you for 20 mins even after you made a reservation? Than proceeds to give you a room randomly? Im a Pakistani and this the most average hotel room I've ever seen. I've been into a fair share of hotel rooms that are cheaper and are way luxurious than this, its just feels like a second hand embarrassment to me TBH And also 6 digits is an obscene amount for a hotel room

the only thing worth doing in these expensive hotels is eating the buffet. if its lunch or hi-tea or during ramadan it isnt that expensive and it is usually a good experience. just eat the buffet, hang out for a while in the lounge and by the pool and then go to your guesthouse that costs $40 a night

even cheap 25-30$ hotel rooms in se-asia is cleaner that this one and more organized

I stayed in Serena Swat, Serena Gilgit, Serena Khaplu and believe me the room charges were very nominal. It was about 25k for a night. The rooms were even better than this one. I think it's just Serena Islamabad that needs overhaul.

This is the Pakistani Serena Hotel, which is five star only on paper and actually like a local inn and the daily rent of the room is 103000

I am from Pakistan and have travelled a fair bit around the world and because of that i have had the opportunity to stay at many different types of accommodations in those countries, Pakistan has been the only country while hotels like Ramada, Serena, PC, Movenpick and Marriot dont let guests (at least locals) bring in outside food. There argument is that they dont know the quality of the food you are bringing and if you fall sick because of it they will have a liability, which seems dishonest and what they actually want is to sell you food and drinks inside at a premium. Dirty practices, a lack of maintenance and quality because of a lack of competition are just the tip of the iceberg. The iceberg being the mafia this industry (among many others) has in that country

pakistani people who are complaining about, Why so be nitpicking about everything about this hotel, needs to remember that He is paying, a freaking $300 & not $30. But I guess most places with $30 will give better amenities & room in comparison to this hotel & my god the attitude of hotel staff is just bad! In comparison to India, if Chris was to pay $300 he will be feeling like a king, what a strak contrast between the two, maybe its time people stop comparing India with such a country! I stayed at the Hotel Leela in Mumbai. It was so nice. For $300 I got separate personalized check in area, room was great, food was amazing, and lot of amenities (paid extra but worth it).

I have stayed there multiple times hair in bath tub is permanent thing and they never take omelette order right if u ask a waiter In marriot nadias there hospitality is way more someone either waited ,manager or chef coming to ask u need anything multiple times...

Last month at $200 per night I stayed at large king size room at Taj Palace Hotel, Mumbai, India. Great location, amenities, food, historic significance. Also the staff spoke proper English, Hindi & Marathi. The reception and other staff shown in this Pakistan 5 star hotel are struggling to even communicate properly. This is a basic etiquette of a 5 star hotel which they lack.
