You can culture black soldier fly larvae if you don't have access to the beetles. They eat food waste so it's very sustainable.

wow dexter,your chicken grows so fast! btw dex,I think you will need some cover in rainy season for your duckweeds because mine (I just bought a little and try to propagate but the rain makes them goes out of the styrofoam container).

Hubbard is meat type, sir. Broiler. Mabilis tlga lumaki. I also feed our chickens superworms. And azolla & duckweed before but hnd ko na maintain ang azolla pond. Hopefully, makapag regrow ako ulit. Nag raise din ako last year ng golden apple snails pero tinapon ng family members ang mga baby snails kala nila Wala lang 😅. That was July and my snails were laying alot of pink eggs. They hatched in few days. Pag hatch kasi maliit maxado ang mga snails kaya hnd halata na may laman ang tubig. Sana ma-maintain ko next time. Mahirap din kasi if hnd mo sila mapakain lagi. They will cannibalize other snails. It's good you incorporate azolla-snail together. Hnd ba nagbabago ang tubig ng azolla pond nyo pag nandun ang mga snails? Kinakain din Kasi ng mga snails ang azolla at duckweed. Good to see others exploring organic farming in zamboanga peninsula! Nagsubscribe ako sa inyo last year lang dahil sa home made incubator. Thank you for being very open in sharing knowledge to people. I admire your vision of learning sustainable ways.

As always I love it Dexter your chickens are looking really good. You have a lot of really high quality protein sources from the Duckweed to the super worms best part of raising your own feed is that you know what's gone into it & more importantly what hasn't ! I can't wait to see the chicken eggs & your Turkey poults ! I'm not sure what sort of chickens those are exactly but they look like Rhode Island Reds quite a bit do they have brown eggs?
