Why feel bad for him? He didn't put in the work during the off-season to improve. Back in late April, when a reporter asked Bryce what he had been doing for the past four months, here's what Bryce said, "I was kind of away from football for the most part, just living every other aspect of my life. Just hanging out, being around family, being around friends, getting back to a routine that doesn't revolve as much around football. For me, it was still being able to just enjoy and work out, but the Xs and Os actual football part, kind of stepping away from it... Legit, it sounds boring, like I'm holding something out, but I'm not. But it's really like I watch RU-vid, I watch TV, I watch Netflix, and every once in a while, I'll go someplace to maybe look at some clothes or something. There's nothing really cool that I'm just trying to hang onto. I'm definitely kind of a homebody. I'm an only child, so I'm used to being able to just chill on my own. That's how I decompress. So it's really just that."
That quote sounds fine if you are a dude who works at a regular job trying to tell people his job doesn't define him and he really doesn't even need it. Sounds like the opposite of what you want to hear from your franchise QB. Brady isn't even sleeping without dreaming about his next 3rd and 21 completion to extend a drive when he played. Peyton probably shamed and fired any teammates who had attitudes like Bryce does.
At the end of the day it's a job hes making millions I don't think he has the passion others do for that game and that's fine it's a check to him and he's getting plenty.
Have y’all never played sports and had to clear your mind? Just bc he stepped away for a tiny bit doesn’t mean he was lazy and didn’t train the rest of the offseason, you’re so quick to hate on a young player that has been given a shit hand: 1: Last year’s team and coaching staff was horrible, they were dead last in so many categories that weren’t QB dependent 2: They finally bring in some talent and a young upcoming HC but handled his situation horribly, they should’ve let Dalton start immediately and treated this year as his rookie year allowing him to hit the reset button and learn & develop 3. Not all the talent they brought in has produced (looking directly at Johnson who was traded)
Are you trolling. Bryce worked extremely hard this offseason, you’re taking one response to a question and spinning it into a lie. The issue with Bryce is his not his work ethic. Hes just a physically limited QB.
Coker bailed Bryce out on a few throws. Coker is deceptively quick and has a 42.5 inch vertical at 6' 3" with some amazing hands. I think for a QB like Bryce, a guy like Coker is great for him as he will come down with contested balls and poor throws. Coker is going to become a name if you don't know that yet. Guy would've scored at the end of the video if Bryce threw it high for him and not right at the corner back underneath...
@ it’s the nfl and every team gets pass rush (panthers have a top 5 oline tho) BY is responsible for most of the sacks (he was only sacked a couple times against Denver) bc he can’t see the hot routes across the middle or step into the pocket for plays to develop and tries to slide outside and throw outside lol anyways I could go on but not writing a book
@@jefferythompson3235 top five where? Did we watch the same film? What top five guard is getting pushed behind the center and into the qb in under 2 seconds 😭
@ Denver has the best defense in the league smh… I watched the game not just a few highlights.. You can tell yall BY apologists don’t actually watch the games… 60 yards in the 1st half lmao which is pretty good for him tho
Chase, love your breakdowns. I'ma football junky and think your channel does pretty well at play design and qb vision. As a Steelers fan, I would love to see your analysis of Russell Wilson. The offense is humming, but curious what short comings it could have late in the season. Not a ton of screen game/jet sweep mis direction, rather than bootleg play action.
Bryce doesnt trust his OLine and I dont blame him. Everyone is giving Bryce a hard time but the Panthers seem to be creating an even harder time for Bryce.. Multiple times the O was stuck in 3rd and 17, 3 and 15, 3 and 14.. The D is firing off at full force every time. In the 2nd half there were a 3-4 times that the playclock was running down and we either took the delay of game or rushed the snap. Just use a timeout.. Youre down 28-7.. Dropped passes and holding penalties.. Broncos having #1 pass defense and Bryce's best WR is an athletic rookie who needs time to develop also.. The faults that you pointed out in this video were great to learn but only 3 times in this video was it Bryce's fault. And yea Andy Dalton was able to get a win.. Against another poor team when he has 13 years experience in the league.. Andy didnt get another win did he.. I honestly hope the Panthers trade Bryce and he does well someone else so the organization looks stupid again and again etc... -Panther fan
More like his OL doesn't trust him. His receivers don't trust him. Opposing defenses laugh at Bryce because they can just blitz the whole game. He's one of the most inaccurate QBs in the league beyond 15 air yards. So yeah if I'm the opposing team, I'm gonna send my DL at him every time. Occasionally I'm gonna send my corners and maybe even my safety. By default it shuts the run game down and forces Bryce to have to throw deep which he can't do accurately. Never could. Not even in college. His deep balls were barely 30% completion and not NFL level
I feel bad for him as well. He genuinely seems like a great human being, and a very talented QB. I've watched every minute of every game he's played, and not once has he looked like an NFL QB to this Carolina fan. Even the worst NFL QBs flashed; Arguably more often than Bryce has.
Dude They have Bryce Young under center. Defenses have zero respect for him. So they bring the heat every down knowing UT automatically crushes the run game and Bryce can't beat them with his arm nor his mind. They're top 5 in pass protection with Andy under center. With Bryce, it's self inflicted sacks and excessive blitz
He has talent and that has been obvious. Part of the problem is his height. Look at how often hes standing on his toes, or jumping to pass. I don't think hes scared to step up in the pocket, I think he cant see over the pocket, and that also plays into him feeling pressure when its not there. Also, it takes a finger to sack him because he so small. Maybe call up Brees and ask if he wants to be a QB coach, cuz Young needs to be taught how to find the lanes that he can see through, and avoid sacks, all without having happy feet when there's no pressure.
How mentally strong or weak a QB is determines their NFL success or lack there of. This guy to date is a very mentally weak individual. Unfortunately that's just how it goes sometimes. He's so shell shocked only 1 year into his career that he's late to pull the trigger a lot or terrified of stepping up into clean pockets or rushing plays when he's not even being pressured. Before anyone comes along and talks about how much he was hit and pressured last year due to bad oline play. Stop and don't. There have been other QBs in the past who were huge at huge rates early in their careers like Burrow and Wilson off the top of my head. Never phased them. This doesn't even take into account all the simulated pressure he creates because of himself. If he could get past his mental block and actually fix his other weaknesses, sure then the talent is there. But to date none of that has happened.
@@roberttruesdale7062lies and you can go look it up yourself. Bryce was like barely 30% completion 20 yards or deeper in college. Mac Jones was 58%. Bryce ain't ever had a good deep ball 😂. Even the scout reports said Bryce's arm was weak and inaccurate over 15 air yards and it worsens as the game goes on.
They’ve been talking about him as a possible trade to the Giants. Given what we’ve gone through with DJ, I’m not against the idea. But I’m not sure if that’s where Carolina is headed. I’m hoping for more Drew Lock time until the organization makes up its mind. MIZ
From what i saw is a guy that could've had 150 more yards passing if it wasn't for penalties drops lazy routes and 2 bad throws away if he makes 2 better throws he might have 300 plus and 3 tds he looked way better than week 2
Thank you! Fair weather casual fans not seeing the silver linings, I see real flashes! And this is coming from someone who was pretty much out on him after week 2
That's funny, and I really feel like a DH stepping on the joke, but I feel compelled to mention that you can't make the NFL if your only motivating factor is money. If your factor isn't only money, it's ok to be empathetic to those human struggles even if you're not in their tax bracket.
@@colt8296We watched the video. We also heard a bunch of excuses and unwarranted blame to the rest of the team. Amazing how right now Richardson, Caleb, Rodgers, D Watson, Dak, etc are all considered bad QBs but when it comes to Bryce, it's the OLs fault. It's the coaches fault. It's the WRs fault. You do know Bryce has never (from college to nfl) been an accurate passer over 15 air yards? Go look up the numbers in Alabama. Terrible compared to both Mac Jones and Tua. Yall keep blaming the team and coaching for Bryce's struggles to do things he's always been bad at haha
@ No wonder why you’re confused, your tard ass cares about stats instead of actual tape, and AR/Caleb are young developing QBs along with Bryce, Rodgers is washed but is still a top 15 QB, Watson is washed and shit with big rumors of him only playing well in Houston bc they ran a college style offense, please do everyone a favor and never make an NFL take again
A few things that I observed and have witnessed as Panthers fan. Icky ( left tackle ) is horrible against speed rushers. The playcalling is horrible. Bryce is not it. I said it when we drafted him and I will say it again. There is nothing special about him. He is just not the quaterback for the Panthers.
For what it's worth. Ickeys worst games (all last year and this year) are when Bryce is under center. What does that tell you? That should tell you, opposing defenses don't respect Bryce and they bring the heat twice as much knowing he can't use his arm to beat it. This overworks the OL and shuts down the run game by default as well. All because the QB can't read a defense and his arm and legs are too weak to do anything about it. I mean come on, other teams are blitzing their corners and safeties because and letting their LBs defend the pass because they know Btyce is gonna check down or throw screens. He's one of the worst QBs in the league over 15 air yards and they know it
@@FarOutAtlbut his size isnt the nfl requires height at the qb position to succeed as a qb, bryce midget ass can barely see over his lineman hes a prime example of why another team will never DRAFT a super short scrawney qb. THANK YOU CAROLINA FOR THIS
