I fell for it: Emotional Support Chicken 🐥 

we all NEED an emotional support chicken in our lives LOL 🦃

Just finished my first chicken last week for my daughter (27) we put a knitted heart inside 💓

I think a lot of us fell for the emotional support chicken 😂

I have 21 emotional sucking I mean support actual chickens. Actually they are hubby’s babies. I have folks give me stuffed plush chickens so I’m more inclined to crochet anything BUT chickens. Have fun!

i can imagine my landlords face when i tell him i'm getting an emotional support chicken. yes, i need this in my life. maybe several. i love the colors you've choose.

Just don’t overthink it! I love my ESC. And keep saying I’m going to make her a friend but haven’t started in it yet. They turn out pretty nice matter the color placement! Best not to stress about it, it’ll turn out cute no matter what. Also just pull out a little bit of yarn regardless if it’s the same type of yarn or not! 💜 we all need good distractions every now and then! And chickens are wonderful distractions!

Use white or cream for your stripes & contrasting color on tail. That would pop and be really pretty. I am just about done with my first one... Grey with a pink/purple/white variegated. I used red glitter yarn for the wattle & comb. Can't wait to finish her, as I've got a few more in the pipeline for Xmas gifts. Instead of this being the Christmas of Hats, it looks like it's the Christmas of Chickens...

I have made 2 chickens, now I found the crochet pattern. #3 in work. Now the thought of one in fingering is wandering around my thought process. And yes I have other things on my needles.... but oh well. This is fun.

I warned you. I have made 2 using Caron latte cakes. You don’t have to change colors because the yarn does that. Plus they are fluffy! In total I have made 4 with one on the needles.

Lol I have a number of unfinished (timed out) projects. They live in my craft room closet in bags over a hanger. The door is closed and way to much stuff to get in. Lol

I bought the crochet pattern. I'm so confused on the tail. Section 2 says sc 5, ch 12, turn, SC in each to end, turn (22) 5+12=17 not 22 🤷‍♀️
