Go for the cheaper versions. Thrustmaster got a lot for low prices. Compared to these things

I wouldn't get this over a GSI FPE v2. Doesn't look to be on the same quality level of the GSI.

I bought a used t248 w pedals for 160 euro. This steering wheel is 8 times more expensive.

Thats beautiful. For those who say you can't afford them. It's not hard to save $12 - $15 a week or $24 -$30 every 2 weeks. It's not unaffordable. It'll take a little extra time is all.

Seems a nice wheel, but not for me. For 2 reasons. It's too much money and the second reason is that I don't need a screen on my wheel. I don't know if I once looked at the screen when I got a wheel with a screen. So I replaced the wheel that I got with one without a screen.

I’m noticing an alarming trend of more and more high end steering wheels. Seems like upgrades all cost $1k+. I own some myself but as a whole I believe the hobby should strive to be more affordable, not super expensive.

I have some questionable spending on Sim gear. But I wouldn't even try spending £1000 just for a wheel XD Still its a nice looking one! Id like the simagic GT Neo though. But the extra spending for a fanatec adapter is a bit of a pain. Currently on the Fanatec Mclaren Replica and it is nice too, definitely better than my V2.5X.

@randomcallsign actually its about 80GPB more than the delta, and it has more buttons and also flag lights on the side of the screen, plus you can customize it in the GSI website (i think).

@@randomcallsignin the US GSI is $1250 with standard aluminum 2 paddle. The delta $1221 with dual paddles. No way would I pick the Delta over the GSI. Delta has less features too.

These are not mass produced items made in china. its slightly cheaper than similar products.

@@randomcallsign unsure if it is still worth it. This is probably the real car quality of an item. But I don't think you need that in the sim-racing setting most of the time even with the highest torque you're fine with something more of mass-market stuff. So, yeah, I get the niche, but it then better be some sort of real-life replica, like Fanatec BMW wheel :)

worth is relative. we are drunk in cheap consumer goods. so its hard to process the real cost of everything.

@@randomcallsign everything is cheap, due to scale economics :) When it's produced in small quantities and manually, or mostly manually, then it's very expensive, mostly due to how of a big chunk the labor/rnd costs are in the final product. That's why custom made anything is a lot more expensive. So I get it :) But I prefer making economic choices and buy best quality mass market instead :P
