I was at the right place at the right time! This week, in my backyard, I walked right into a massive ant war between two ant colonies. The determined ants were fighting over something quite surprising, but what was most surprising was what two ant colonies were warring with each other! Hope you guys enjoy this week's episode! I was in the 67th light infantry division, I fought for the natives and I am lucky to be alive, though, disabled. The war was horrific, many of my friends died and even medics were not safe as mentioned by LLAMA. The enemy was ruthless and so were we, I eliminated 7 men before 2 of my limbs was brutally ripped off during the intense combat. Though I was saved by one of my close comrades (who later died to the human shoe), I could not fight after that. Both my body and will was damaged. I was nursed back to health and sent back to my chamber, though I still kept myself updated on the war. The shoe was one of the biggest blows to our front lines, it took out more of our men than theirs. The enemy quickly took advantage of this and hit hard, but they stretched their lines thin and we soon had the chance to hit back harder. The enemy was forced to retreat and the war would later be won. It was absolutely surreal seeing one of my last comrades of my regiment standing proud on the bloody battlegrounds on ant TV. Today I am retired and I spend my days peacefully in my chamber, but I will never forget the horrors of war. Ant love forever! Also thank you veteran LLAMA for your service

This is the content I'm looking for. There used to be website 15 years ago where somebody like you, kinda sounds like you too, filmed his local forest and the battle in there. He created battle fields by dropping food in the forest and then watch how different ants fought over the food.

I was an ant, Born in Ant Hospital, Antopia, assigned to the 99th Attacker Division of the Natives, as an Asian Marauder Ant. I was their commander when all of a sudden the opposers used WMD Against Us. Not to mention that just like LLAMA Just Said, we were stepped on by the human foot. I lost both my antennae and Some of my most crucial Organs. Even though i was alive, Nurse Ant told me i could not fight any longer. However, the new commander Tore the opposing side to shreds and we won, raising the Native Flag Together. All but 16 antmen (there were 21) Survived along with me. Since the Ant Year 21, I spend my days in my Ant Chamber in the 2nd Marauder Ant Colony. thank you for describing the Great Antopian War in a good way. And Thank You LLAMA, You made a great contribution to us.

I served two tours in the Antopian War of 21 I fought for the native ants. One day on the battlefield, my best friends and I were in the trench at our posts when we heard the horn to storm the enemy hill are army raced towards the hill getting mowed down one by one even our queen was on the battlefield that day I was engaged in hand to hand combat with another ant I lost, and as I was on the ground defeated my queen saved me although she lost her life. I’m still grateful for what she did. We heard the retreat horn sound five minutes later, the assault failed and the enemy empress sent her workers to feast on our queen ever since that day, I’ve been waiting in this damn trench for over 2 years waiting for the day I can get revenge.

I myself was apart of the Antopia war. I was a normal solider in the 82nd Antborne division. I remember one of our medics died in the start of the battle and this really made us more careful. Sadly we did lose the battle. We lost because we lost all our medics quickly and a human foot killed a lot of our men. Im glad it was filmed. Really great battle. Im proud to still be alive.

When I was a kid,I watched red and black ants have a huge war in a large area of the walkway in the our back yard.The ants continued their savage war until it was put to a sudden stop by a much bigger enemy...My grandmother with a bucket of water.Both red and black ants were propelled in what must have been like a biblical intervention to them down the walk and into the parking lot at the end of it.There were not many survivors,and those that were left were not fighting anymore.

When I was a kid in the UK, I found a black ant and red ant, roughly the same medium size and placed them both in a glass jar to see if they would fight. I was not to be disappointed as immediately they began to battle each other. I watched them fight for 30 minutes both the ants going at each other in deep embrace, it was going to be a fight to the death. Went back indoors, came out 4 hours later and those ants were still fighting. Returned indoors and came back out in the morning to find the black ant dead and the red ant with serious injuries, so I released the red ant and guessed it also died soon after. Simply put, ants are vicious and could you imagine if they were the size of a cat or dog, I guess they would take over the world.

I once saw in my back yard terrace a small war between three different ant types (sorry, sadly I don’t know they officially names), There were a few big ants, a medium amount of normal sized ants and a large group of small ants. The small ants were bunching up ad fighting single large ants, and the medium ones were taking the small ants hostage, and the large ones were trying to defend themselves from the two other ant types. this war episode made me think about something to get rid of invasives: You can attract invasive ants scouts to other invasive nests, so they can destroy each other. Placing baits beetween two colonies, take a few ants from an other colony directly to a other nest,...and so on. I may sound like Stalin right now, but for the native ants to survive, some invasive ants must die.

Ants are fierce. I remember some years ago watching my first carpenter ant war on my back patio. I ended up rescuing 3 of them because their injuries were horrific I couldn’t even believe what I was seeing. One was missing nearly its entire body except for two front legs, head, mouth part, and antennas. The other was missing its entire head and the other one who bit its head off had the head stuck on its mouth and couldn’t get it off. All three would perk up at even the slightest breeze, ready to fight. They all died hours later, the bodiless one only an hour later but even it… was just a head with two legs moving it about would try to bite anything near it…. It puts a whole new meaning to fight to the death 😂. Whether bodiless, headless, or two-headed. I was shocked when I found out they’re just a bunch of sterilized warrior/worker females defending their turf and queen and her babies. They’re fascinating to watch and kind of cute, but what a force of nature to be so tiny. Can’t help but see some of the similarities to human societies lol theirs actually being a bit more structured. Their bot-like selves actually makes me worry about the future AI armies 😮 when we’re at war with human-like beings that don’t feel fear nor pain and 100% focused on killing and can’t feel any semblance of humanity or empathy, entirely programmed and controlled by their operator. Those ants all looked exactly alike with plenty of yard space for the two colonies and yet their scent and tribe is different so one had to be brutally eliminated at all cost…. They say there will one day be peace on earth but I think we all deep down know that’s a fairytale.

Wow that is truly fascinating! So the ants form alliances, fight for territory/objectives, use battle tactics (like camouflaging the carcass with dirt), take prisoners, and even have commanding officers and medics, just like in human battles. How do they co-ordinate all this? Like do individual ants come up with the tactics and communicate to it's allies? Or do they have some sort of hive mind and come up with these ideas collectively?

I have witnessed many ant battles for as a kid, I was obsessed with ants, their wars, habits and culture. I would watch them almost daily for hours, and set up scenarios to see how they would react. One day, I observed two squads of ants facing off against each other, in two opposing lines facing each other. One squad was composed of large light brown tree ants, while the other was composed of large “red” (actually reddish/orange). Both squads contained eight ants. Both squads just stood there perfectly still, facing each other, until I finally became bored and decided to return later. About and hour later, I returned to find only two red ants still there, plus several brown ant bodies. I have pondered this incident ever since. . . This was surely an arranged affair, not a chance encounter. Could ants then plan? Since both squads were of equal size, could ants then count? How would ants communicate with another species to set up such a match? How would they select which ants were going to champion their colony? The whole thing is so unlikely that as the decades have gone by I have wondered more and more if I could have dreamed it. I mean I was only about 7 years old. . . Yet, it has been an enduring memory for over 65 years now. . .

While living on the island of Saipan, we had a colony of Carpenter Ants living in our house whose habits I found interesting, because their movements seems more purposeful, fast paced, and planned than other ants. Several times I observed the colony send out what I can only describe as a patrol in which a squad of ants comprising five individuals rapidly advanced all the wall in formation lead by a leader, stopping now and then, and then restarting.
