Using motion-sensored night-vision cameras, I film a family of foxes and reveal the secret life of fox cubs, playing, foxtrotting and more! Instagram: @halfasleepchris
Thank you for making this video. This day was horrible and it was the only thing what made me smile. Hope you know that your videos are like a warm hug for your viewers. Thank you for keep making them!❤
One time at our me and my sister nan’s house, my mum’s dog actually brought in a mysterious bone into their kitchen, it was so big, we thought it could’ve been a Fox leg bone unless they were digging underneath the ground because we didn’t hear anything outside, this was in the early hours of the morning as well
Before when I was camping. I was woken by a fox, sneaking into my tent and eating our cereal. I decided to let him have it, because he was cute, and because I was scared. Haha.
I once saw a young fox looking out at the road from my car one afternoon. It scurried away quickly and I had to keep driving but it made my entire day. They have such sweet faces!
These foxes are absolutely adorable! Unfortunately, in the UK, foxes (both adult and cub) are still hunted despite the Hunting Ban (2004/2005). This is often done under the guise of trail hunting, though the blocking of badger setts, feeding of foxes in hunting areas, kidnapping of foxes and keeping them in barns to be released in time for the hunt all still go on. So happy to see that one fox family is thriving. Great footage Chris.
@@rusdanibudiwicaksono1879 'Tradition' and it's mostly the upper middle class to upper class that participate. There's absolutely no gain - as the fur is torn to shreds by dogs, the meat is not used, and there have been quite a few cases of terriermen (who assist in the hunt) feeding foxes to encourage them to bred or keeping foxes stashed in barns to be released for the hunt. Oh, and the hunting hounds do way more damage then the foxes do. From worrying livestock on public land to tearing up gardens to killing cats and small dogs. Throw in the poor conditions in which the hounds, horses, terriers, and birds of prey are put through by the huntsmen and that's way more damage than the foxes could ever cause.
@@ladydixon9651 ...Can't they just, I dunno, hunt rats or something? No, not joking. Rats in my place can grew so big, cats practically terrified of them.
I discovered this channel very recently, and it is already among my favorites (without a doubt), quality and perfect production in each video, as well as very interesting data. In short: a great channel. Greetings from Chile!
For everyone here who loves foxes, please support your local hunt sab groups! Foxes are still killed by hunts on a regular basis and the ban goes unenforced. Help the foxes!!
Then you have never seen a cat paw where it has a long nail in each toe. One early morning I saw my cat jump on an adult fox, it fled with its tail between its legs. By the way, it is fox puppies you see fleeing in the video. I can not imagine that an American fox is different from the European. \;-)
That's so cool!!! You've got a backyard full of fox kits and family, such a neat thing to see! It's also amazing how easily they scale that fence, just as nimble as felines.
Or maybe Dr Evil. Evil hecker... ehh, they seem cute, I'll let them get away with it just this once. ... and any time after that, cute animals are my kryptonite.
There are alot of foxes in my garden and they always eat the bird food, we also have squirrels and birds Edit: this is the most likes I’ve ever gotten thank you!
I have lots of rabbits in my backyard. They are adorable! I usually see them a every few days. I also have a lot of robins. I even have a view of a robin nest where I can see beaks of baby robins! Foxes are awesome tho. I wish we had some.
My grandpa had a massive garden in his old house - and we used to get foxes coming through the hedge and looking at us from the other side of the garden. so cute
i walk my dog around 6/7 pm at sunset every day and sometimes ill see some foxes run around. they're truly amazing animals and probably one of my favorite animals!
When my mom and dad moved into the apartment I live today, every night there would be: Foxes, hedgehogs, deer, and other forest animals outside our window. They even left food for them. My mom had a deer as a pet when she was a kid, because it protected her cats from a naughty dog, by kicking it in the head. That was one cool deer.
Story time: This fox mother and her cubs stayed in our garden, the mother liked to watch us while sitting on a office chair we temporarily put in the garden, she ripped up the chair so that the sponge was revealed XD she spied on us through the window and wasn’t afraid of us opening the garden door!
@@jaksen25 they aren't stupid. people shouldn't let their cats out anyways, both for the cats health and cuz cats are an invasive species coming into other animals natural habitat
I live in a gated community in Texas. It’s not exactly wild but it’s known for its pecan trees so we do get some wild life. There’s always a ton of deer around, but every now and again you will see foxes. 🦊 It truly is amazing.
A good idea. You should make Ralph a play pen for for him. Inside of the play pen you can put a small aquarium (screen or real) and some cat treats and a small bed. Another idea. Ralph get a fish but make sure HE DOESNT EAT IT I’m a huge fan so keep up the work!
Imagin being a prey captured by a fox mum, but still being alive and thinking you might still have a chance of getting away. But then you see the cubs...
Me and my family live in New Zealand but my grandparents live In Ireland. Most years me, my mum, my sister, my uncle, my aunt (I know it’s a long list) go to Visit my grandparents and other uncle for Christmas. One night the family was playing board games (I’m not exactly sure why I was standing on the side but it’s apart of the story) I was right next to a door. A fox family lives out the back of the garden and we see them every once in a while. When I was watching them play I Asume, a fox walked right up to the door and started looking at me. I didnt notice for a while but eventually I looked down at the door. We stared at each other for what seemed to be a second and it ran away. The next day we found out that there were lots of silver foxes and normal ones that walked into cafes mid day and were really friendly. For a couple of nights after that me , my grandad, my sister, and my mum went “fox hunting” or walking around the neighbourhood with some torches at night trying to find foxes. We were never too successful but we did see a couple and it was fun. Anyways that was my experience with foxes.
I have these foxes that come in my my front garden, we feed them sausages they eat them all. One time I decided to sit in the front by my door and the foxes came but with baby foxes behind them! There’s a mummy fox,a daddy and two baby’s! After two years of hand feeding and hand baby feeding, I can finally stroke them with gloves tho. They are so cute and mummy loves taking eggs :) they love me so much and im happy they recognise me
I haven't seen a fox in real life so I can't imagine how I would feel to see them in my backyard. (But a raccoon nearly gave me a heart attack one night on my way into the house 😱😆.) I think this video was very well done! The camera angles were perfect and you managed to get a lot of interesting material. I think my favorite part was just watching Bella. She's such a pretty kitty; I hope she is safe from the foxes.
My next-door neighbour moved out a few years ago, and no one moved into their house, so their garden has become a wild bushy mess, which a few foxes live in/around, I hear foxes nearly every day, screaming like crazy, I've gotten used to it by now, I usually look out of my bedroom window, to try and spot them, which usually doesn't work, but today a saw one of the foxes in the garden, just laying there, I started staring at him, then he started staring back, they seemed pretty mellow. They later scurried off, back into the dense bushes, maybe I'll see him again, or maybe he'll stay a mystery. I really like foxes.
I have never seen a fox in my life (well just the tail of one fleeing the road) so to imagine that some people can see some in their garden ????? I am so so soooooooo jalous !!! Thank you very much for sharing this !
One year I was lucky enough to have a vixen living in my back yard and raising her cubs. She knew I was watching and it didn’t matter to her. The only precaution she took was going to the den by various secret paths.
My grandma has foxes. She lives in London and feeds theme everyday. She usually leaves food she couldn’t finish in her garden and they eat it. She sees them a lot!
I have a trap camera in my field and I have caught badgers foxes pheasants and all kinds of other birds! It is really amazing watching the cubs practising pouncing!
wow! I love foxes, but here where i live they can run across the street at night and it can be very difficult to stop the car in time. anyway, great video as always!
