Tanner did a awesome job on those brake lines and each time I see that monte i get more excited to see the finished product. Sorry to hear that you managed to try and run a 11.50 index and brake a steering wheel and then the trans that had to be one heck of a launch,after you put the trans back in you might want to stay with that small steering wheel if not next time you might rip the steering column out and brake the seat lol. That big block ford is going to be one healthy motor after you and uncle Bob get done and I'll say it again that merc is one nice ride. 700R4 problems I see😎 That trans has done extremely well so far. Cool to see the Monte Carlo drive train go to a good home. Also cool to see the BB Ford in the machine shop at Uncle Bobs. It looks like it definitely needs a new set of headers. CJ is such a good guy, I sure hope his luck takes a turn for the better

Bill, one thing to keep in mind is with a 385 series Ford (429-460) with a HR cam and lifters the pushrod angle can get a little off and cause issues with rocker geometry. One way to minimize the issue is by running a HR grind with a SR lifter. Just something to keep in mind.

My fairmont on my channel is big block ford powered with edelbrock heads . Made 763 at flywheel but is a 510 solid roller 13.8.1 compression . My old combo with same heads 460 .060 over 12.1 with a solid flat tappet cam made 652 at flywheel . Those edelbrock heads are not the best but are not the worst and I bet that motor makes good power for the guy !

Great video. The Marauder BBF on the dyno should be great content. Those headers do leave a lot to be desired. Horsepower killers. Uncle Bob will straighten it out. So glad to see CJ Buckner pop up in your video. I like CJ and his family over at Raggedy Ann Ohio Small Tire. He sure has had some hurdles to jump for sure. But, that SBF gets up and flies. It was very generous of Billy to set CJ up in the '55 at KD. That Old Girl sure gets down the track! Beautiful too.

Bill, came across your channel in 2019 while on the mend from my second back surgery. I had never watched one minute of YT prior. Now there's dozen channels I cant wait for the next video and that's it. Yours, SRC as well as Gen2 are three of them. I'm a Ford fella which if you hold that against me hope it's in the old rivalry between all us just to give each other some s@@t. Best channel on YT with all the bantering. It sounds like me and my friend's about anything we can get a rise out of the other one. I'd hate to see your monthly habit invoices!

My opinion on brake lines, i use a tubing bender for nice crisp bends, to avoid long curves, and a tubing straightener works awesome too. Copper nickel brake lines bend and flare the best. Y'all take care.

😂ive mentioned that steering wheel breaking with the recliner seat flexing and you pulling on it several times lol, buddy broke the wheel in his Camaro doing the same thing. We put a simple main hoop and rear struts to support the seat so he didnt have to hold himself with the wheel anymore

Hey Bill I was thinking about what you said. Maybe y’all could get a small town close to you have a weekend festival in honor of all yalls channels. It’s because of yall a lot of people get inspired to do what we do. You could have a race, cruise, and cruise in. Just a whole weekend lineup. That way people further away could plan and take vacation time to spend the weekend. I think it would be a good thing and help some of the local businesses and tourism. I used to come to mid and northern Ohio every week when I drove a big rig over the road a few years ago. It’s so beautiful up there as long as it’s not snowing. But yes this would be awesome.

I ran Hooker Pro Comp headers on my 67 Fairlane with a very stout 428cj with stock intake and factory heads that had been ported extensively. Now I did have to remove the power steering and go back with a close ratio manual steering box so the headers would fit.

Hell yeah, a cruise sounds great! I drive a train for a living though and will need plenty of time to plan to get there from Tennessee.

Love to be part of the cruise. I will be making the drive to National Trail Saturday to run Hardtire. My dad was supposed to trailer me, but his 2 trucks are not up to par for the trip. So I plan on taking 77 to 16 then 37 . I'd rather take my time. Should be ready to go. Gonna be a very tough field, but winning 1 round would mean a lot.

Uncle Bucko has it just right, drinking coffee out of a Stromberg 97 cup. Now that is old school. I used to prowl the wrecking yards looking for those carburetors. That was a while back.

I won the trans from allison's dart a few months back. Its really cool to come up there and meet you guys and see the whole place. A cruise, tour, open house type deal would be pretty awesome. Its a cool place to visit and the whole town is a really fun place to just drive. Its also cool I get to see the metal signs I cut out for you guys hanging around the shop. The whole deal is pretty awesome, all of you guys channels together are pretty fun to watch.

Love your site it's good to see an old carburetor guy dealing with those injected guys an showing them that carbs are not dead 😂😂 I kinda do the same here in southeast Georgia me being an old carb guy myself. I learned from a carb wizard at technical school back in the 70s and over 42yrs of auto repairs have worked on all kinds of induction but have always enjoyed carbs best. Keep up the good work.😅😅😅😊😊😊😊
