you all probably dont give a shit but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the login password. I would love any assistance you can give me
hello! I just got admitted to Barnard ‘23! I’ve loved watching your videos through the admissions process and I’m super excited to experience Barnard for myself next year. :)
Aahh congrats!🎉🎉 I'm looking into Barnard but im not sure if I have the stats to get in.... Do you mind saying things that helped you get in? Like your scores or application?
Congrats on majoring in Economics! I'm an Economics graduate myself ♥ Though I don't fully practice it now, it definitely opened a lot of opportunities for me in terms of jobs, it's a very flexible major. Love love from the Philippines!
I am a senior in highschool, applied to some New York schools and this video made me feel relieved knowing I am not the only one that's lost in picking a major. LOL I am considering Econ for my bachelors as well 😂
congratulations on your declaration!!! seriously I just recently found your youtube channel and I have been binge watching all of these vlogs cuz your such a loveable person and seeing your growth is actually makes me feel really proud of you... idk what I m saying. take care!!!
I love behavioral economics! I'm studying Econ, Math-Stats, and Psychology at Columbia. You should take Woodford's Cognitive Mechanisms & Economic Behavior class. The psychology department also offers some interesting behavioral econ classes like Thinking & Decision Making, Behavioral Game Theory, and Decision Architecture.
No joke, I just declared the same major of Econ and behavioral psych today as well! I literally have been undecided since college began and I finally decided to muster up the courage and do it lol. And I also agree and relate on how you could truly envision yourself in more than one field. I still feel that way but I completely am on the same page. It's really hard for me to explain why one major never truly stood out to me, but I finally committed after this whole time.
ECON IS GREAT! I also explored before I declared :) Im currently an Econ major :) As a senior going to PhD but taking a year between to be a Quantitative Analyst, taking some econometrics/statistics and math classes will really set you up!!
Also! I feel like ECON exposes you to a lot of different fields because it studies how people make choices in the face of scarcity which is present in everything! Anyway, can’t wait to see more Econ study vlogs ❤️
Yes girl!! legit we are the same person😂 i like so many subjects, mostly the ones you listed (english, psych, math, bio, etc) and fell in love w econ!! the behavioural side is SO interesting and i feel there's so much more research to be done there since so many of the assumptions economic theory just doesn't work out in the real world. columbia has an amazing dept for that so best of luck! :))
I love watching your vlogs because it gives me a glimpse of the nyc college experience (even though I already live here) But how do you manage a social life and academics, I struggle as a junior in high school. its gotten better but with all my college stuff coming up ik its gonna get hectic.
(Video starts at 12:20) Hi 5! I had the same issue of wanting to major in lots of different things and also decided to major in Economics (with a second major in Computer Science) for pretty much the exactly same reasons. I was previously an Art Design major. Congrats from NYU!
I love watching your videos and getting to see the life of a student going to college In NYC, since I'm personally thinking about transferring to Barnard or Columbia next year from Sweden! Your videos also motivate me to study hard, plus they're really fun to watch!
I have the same hoodie but in light grey!! Hopefully I’ll get a blue hoodie once I go back to NYC in 2-4 years :) hoping to do Nurse Practitioner school at Columbia ❤️👩🏽⚕️
Coming back to all of these videos when Covid has been a thing for basically a year, I’m currently a freshman and it’s nice to hope for a semi-normal college experience in the future :(
wow... econ? that was unexpected, after you listed all the options you considered.. im barely passing ap macro econ with a C lmao. well i hope you get where you wanna go with ur major
CONGRATS! i am a freshman in college right now and i know exactly how you felt but now in my second semester i finally decided to major in biology and minor in chemistry!
I'm a biology student ! , i graduated high school last year , and i only got accepted for biology , could i ask you about the reason that made you choose bio and what youre planning after uni , sorry if i seem annoying but i'm L O S T , very lost don't know what to major in
You're supposed to choose a major but some colleges allow an undeclared option. I know that for California public universities, you can only be undeclared within a certain school (humanities, science, etc), so you have a direction. In general, most colleges here do make you choose when applying (the Barnard application does ask what you're most interested in) but some liberal arts schools and private colleges allow you to declare your major later than usual in undergrad. Liberal arts schools are meant to give you a well-rounded education so they let you explore a bit before committing.
Hey Izzy. How’d you decide to not major in cs for instance. I also see your coding workshop, which seems interesting. I’m pretty unsure of my major with no clear direction. If I had an extreme passion I’d probably go that route, but I kinda don’t. I can elaborate. I’m in my second cs class and it’s still ehh. It’s can be kind of rough- the projects (especially cause I need a lot of help to do them, and tend to start late). I mean sometimes majors like information (at Michigan we have a newer school for this), CS, seem interesting. But like aspects of different, less technical majors sound interesting (I just don’t really have a clear passion, and in general it seems less marketable in my case)
Girl i went through a whole depressive episode to declare a major 😂 I began as a civil engineer, went to Econ, and have finally declared to sociology. It’s been such an experience.
Hey I know you don’t go to Fordham anymore but I just got accepted and I’m considering going there to major in finance. Did you like the school? Any tips?
