Really hope the CEO gets some positive change going for balance (start by firing the guy who balanced Hello Neighbor 2). Zanny encapsulated what the overwhelming majority of players feel while picking his loadout when he said he WANTs to pick and try other items ... but they just aren't as good. The Quasar ... like many other weapons ... is not OP, rather other items are just bad.
Yeah the Quasar actually should be OP because it's one of the "higher" level unlocks. It SHOULD slap the hell out of anything, if only with a high-risk, high-reward system.
@@terrified057t4idk, I have a lot of trouble with hell even most of the nerfs… but the quasar is just NOT one of them. It was wayyyy too OP for an infinite ammo weapon. Maybe if you didn’t time it right and shot it again when it is overheated, for the gun to need a reload would have been a different approach but where it is now is not bad at all. It’s balanced. Before the nerf, quasar was so oppressive it literally made the recoiless rifle obsolete and even made expendable anti tank feel like it wasn’t worth taking.
@@blank9789 Eh fair, I don't have it so the only experience I've got is looting fellow Helldiver corpses that had it. I didn't even realize it's an infinite ammo weapon XD
Welcome back helldivers Zanny, hoping that every helldivers who's still denied to do their part will finally return and they remove that stupid restrictitons
Every game gets repetitive if you play it a lot or constantly Best way to keep a game fresh is to play something else for a while and come back and nice and a while
first month of playing i was pretty locked in to using the 'meta' at the time, but then I took like a two week break and just started trying to see what was the most fun for me, because if you're playing quickplay at least one of your teamates is using something to deal with stuff your fun loadout cant.
@@goman2650 I started doing a stealth play style while all the randoms are fighting all the enemies I sneak around destroying all the outposts/bases so that we get that juicy xp/money Actually a fun playstyle especially since the game has built in stealth mechanics
@@ghostlyswat12 It is fun, however they botchered actual stealth if you arent wearing the scout armor after the Railgun nerf update, before patrols wouldn't chase you 24/7 even without knowing where are you, and now they have eagle sight even in fog planets.
Ya know what helldiver's could use as a grind? Give us an overclock system like deep rock where it allows them to do whacky stuff with the weapons and the in lore excuse is they're all being field tested to save funding
I dont like that, mostly the way you get overclocks, since i remember grinding for so much for all 4 classes and never got any of the funny or dumb overclocks like the nuke or the rocket jumping one because RNG sucks when is time gated. And the way i did get them was by restarting until i got it, which sometimes would take over 4 hours of pure retries
Champion! The mysterious lands of... ashlands are awaiting for your arrival. If you will not try the challange, we will be sending a squad of gjalls on your location.
The whole sony scenario really hurt this game despite them not going forward w account linking. The ceo said he is trying his best to make it available for everyone again but it will take some time. Hoping for the best since I love this game a lot and wanna see it grow more not decline.
Zanny, try switching it up with the flame thrower against bugs. The flamethrower’s pretty op against bugs especially since the dot fix. Ive lately been using it plus stun grenades and the grenade pistol. For primary i use the blitzer coupled with the eagle 500kg bomb and the eagle cluster bombs.
I'm not a high-rank player with everything unlocked, but most of the weapons I do have unlocked are all pretty useful, apart from the marksman rifle and the stock pistol.
@@terrified057t4 Above level 7 Assault rifle is almost useless, Only sickle is viable because recharge magazine. You basically dependent on stratagem and support weapons. Which have long ass cooldown. And if your squad got DC, the game punished you for that. Not only less gun but the more players missing the more enemy patrol will spawn, bug breach and drop ship will kept spawning until you can kill enemies faster than they spawn, or just disengaged without running into another patrol and kept it snowball until you die.
Game is not hard enough to streamline only specific weapons so many good weapons and underrated/used ones. I think people are confusing power=fun so regardless if they need to buff other things it still wont be used if they consider things like the queso cannon is stronger.
4:56 Super Citizen is $60 (including full game) in the US. Depending on what it is in your currency I’d say it’s a bit more expensive here than most other places lol Also, most of the times you got TK’d, it was due to a glitch with the kill crediting, where some random bug or toaster gets you and your teammate is credited with an accidental. Weird glitch, no idea how it started happening, but it does, so idk
The devs right now are having a talk on the weapons to make them balanced so that they are powerful but not too powerful where you rock the enemy too easily. So we could see weapons getting some buffs to make them all usable and versatile.
I need like 3 more ship upgrades and I still have a bunch of warbond things to unlock but I'm definitely playing less. Honestly it's fallen into more of a "I want to have fun" game than a "I'm grinding for unlocks" game and that's actually better for it imo. I'm using different weapons and stratagems to experiment and keep things fresh. I play 1-2 hours a week. It's still my GOTY so far!
I still don't think Acolyte can do the same as Andor. I know Headland wants to portray it as "Star Wars for Adults" like Andor, but when just the teaser cost a boat-load of money, the cast is incredibly diverse, and Headland wants to explore "what if the jedi are the evil ones," it ain't gonna be it. Headland read Karen Traviss' Republic Commando novels and thought, yeah let's revive that shithole of an argument...
@@terrified057t4The Republic Commando novels didn’t argue that Jedi were necessarily the bad guys, just that they weren’t ready to handle a galactic war. Also, a diverse cast isn’t a bad thing.
@@ExtantPerson Yeah the novels didn't quite but if you asked Traviss back then (and no need to, the proof is still around), she was a mega jedi hater and it grew as her characters interacted with her view of the Jedi. And yeah, I know diversity ain't bad, but I've a vibe it's gonna be a bad show that tanks careers at worst and at best serves as the cast's further jump-pads. Atleast we can agree on pre-prod costing a boat load of money XD
about the repetetiveness i have everything even all the super store armor and at this point im just running around collecting super credits for the next warbond
Bad Batch defo has some kid episodes, especially in the first season, but holy shit it gets GOOD. There are quite a few episodes that hit the Andor level imo
"Power crept"? No, it was just never there to begin with. How many primaries are there in the game that are indisputably garbage? How many of those garbage guns were in day 1? And they're still bad. Now we have another 6-8 primaries with maybe 3 or 4 that were "good" or fun to use. Reminder: Fire damage on day 1 was practically nonexistent. Scavengers(the weakest enemies in the game) were walking through firewalls unfazed. And the flamethrower was dead weight. And that was a Support Weapon. We need most of the arsenal completely overhauled, old and new. After 6 missions, I can safely say that the Tenderizer is a worse version of the Liberator, with more recoil, less ammo, slower reload animation, all for effectively the same damage. Rebalance needed across the board.
I still can't feel a thing for the subreddit. For any game. It always devolves into an echo chamber and the loudest members become the standard, their opinions are the objective truth and right answer every time. I admit, I got into the game a day or so before this whole crisis so I don't have Le Epic Troll Primary Weapon, or this or that. But I've found the only gun to be worthless is the marksman rifle. Every other weapon (I'm level 20) I've used has been effective on light-medium targets, the senator's great on chargers and medium armor bots (clean asf headshots). Probably my only gripe with Helldivers are the players themselves and the difficulty on bots being way harder than bugs (the reason why ~60% of the playerbase are bug stompers).
Even marksmen rifles have their place, really good against bots, since the weakest part on them are the heads and popping them feels so nice! But yes, after the spawn changes bots are annoying, but once they fix it (if they haven't already) it's actually nice and feels like Clone wars, you the clones fighting against robots, fucking epic. For me, honestly, bugs seemed more difficult with all the hunters just chasing you to the other end of the World :D But bots, you can outrun basically everyone (A flamethrower hulk, if you pop a single leg, it'll just limp and be slow af etc.) I joined 3 months in (about a week before the Sony debacle) and I agree, I didn't care for nerfs or buffs, I picked what seemed fun and guess what, they were actually fun. These META people need to chill and just shoot stuff, if it's too difficult for them, they can lower the difficulty, not every game has to be a sweat-con. Anyways, good to have a fellow newly-defrosted Helldiver with us (Well not new, but amongst us "newbies")
the echo chamber is people defending the game, its much worse on the discord. The people complaining are people playing the game getting frustrated and then going to reddit to vent. the apathy to dismiss people's problems that shouldn't even exist in the first place because the devs choices as "an exho chamber" is delusional. there are people who go too far with rhe criticism but im pretty sure you are grouping everyone together as one big cry baby. i hope you aren't one of those people telling players who don't enjoy the new patrol system that made their friends quit playing to 'get gud' too
@@petercottantail7850 Honestly it's more about gun nerf people who continually whine about a gun that could allow you to solo diff 9 missions in 20 minutes. Patrol changes? Awful, awful, because sometimes I don't want to play with randoms but with friends. 1-2 friends. And the patrol changes have kinda ruined it, even on diff 5-6 (I am in no way good at the game, I am awful) Constant flame hulks running you down when they get dropped and the constant bot drops or bug breaches. Ooof. I personally talk about people complaining that their build no longer can solo diff 7-9 easily, that they have to rely on other players help etc. those are the bad apples.
@@petercottantail7850 The new patrol made folk quit? I thought the old patrol system was the one making people quit. Frankly, haven't noticed any difference in patrols.
Zanny, experiment with weapons more. Flamethrower for example is by far excelent againdt every Bug except titans. AMR is super good on bots Cluster rocket launcher is fixed and properly anihilates group of enemies. Just some ideas or examples that quasar isnt the only perfect option.
Fellow country man here, and yeah hope they relist the game soon since i dont think i have an option of having a listed country friend to buy the game for me. I really want to have my own copy so i can play with my local helldiver frend (also so he can finally play with his own copy since i’ve been using his non stop through family share lol)
If you fight on the Bot front I’ve been trying out a new loadout I’ve seen a few places, Pummeler SMG, Laser cannon, ballistic shield. Heavy devastators aren’t shit anymore
Roleplay aside, after the whole controversy it killed my enthusiasm to keep playing. Just a bummer half of our fellow divers were wiped out to corporate greed.
Steam is very against using different payment methods or changing your payment method's location (there is a name for it but I forgor), But i think that's only a problem to them because people could/would do it to get cheaper prices in like Argentina or something, if Steam notices you doing it a lot they will ban your steam account and you can lose all your games but optimistically I'm assuming Steam wont notice since you did it slightly differently. (edit: and once)
