Time Time Time Everything takes time. Moisture is key to retain hair growth. I've been on my natural hair journey for seven years and just learned the importance of moisture. Healthy hair thrives. Let it grow girl!
Thanks and yes this is so true and I’m so glad that now I have some tools that I can use tk help me retain moisture. I felt like I learned a lot going to this salon.
I love it! But I don't care how much hair training a person has ladies, you must always be honest and comfortable telling your beautician how much or not to cut off YOUR hair if you're not going to be happy. In this case 1 inch would have been it. 😅oh girl was still trimming even after the initial cut. Hey, but again, IT'S ONLY HAIR! 😊 It is my prayers 🙏 ❤️ that Martha's hair thrive in the most beautiful curl pattern and length.
Yes! Agreed. She definitely did not have to cut that much off. I didn't like that one but. I believe your hair is healthy & did not need that much cut off.
I’m Facebook friends with a lady who owns a natural hair salon in Dallas and she’s legit. Omg!!! I just looked at the name of her salon and it’s the one you’re featuring. I’ve been Sess Lee for some years now and her work is flawless ❤
I love the way she was talking care of your hair in the process. I cannot find a natural stylist in my area who really cares and take time with me hair. The ones I have experienced either rush bcuz they are overbooked or don't really care. It's extremely frustrating and I've been wanting a good trim for quite sometime. So cudos for finding a nice stylist who cares as they do your hair.
I love how your hair looks Healthy It might seems like she cut a lot of But she did wel You will see the result of what she did later down the road Enjoy the journey
I understand that length can make people self conscious but cutting off split ends is super important when she comes back to get another service her hair will have grown so much and will be healthy.
I will never understand why stylists are so stuck on cutting off so much hair…. Your hair looked pretty healthy and didn’t need all of that cut off, in my opinion.
@@gordenmarthadove122 my hairstylist is in Richardson, TX she does natural hair as well and very skilled at growing & retaining length. I'm sure that's far for u to drive but she's worth it & affordable. She has a private suite. Kierstin Holliness on Styleseat at Madison Suites, 2100 Alamo Rd. Ste. 126, 75080. I would be happy to bless u with an appointment. 🩷🙏🏽
I think she cut the right amount to give you shape and it looks like you had a lot of layers in your hair so she probably had to cut more than anticipated. It will be worth it in the end because your styles will look amazing
Happy Tuesday! I do my own hair for many years. I had been from time to time, but I don’t get satisfied from a beautician not to say I haven’t seem some beautiful styles from a licensed beautician. It’s just not for me. Overall it’s a day out to treat yourself and it’s relaxing. Your hair always looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing! ❤
I'm so so glad you found them. I've been following for a long time. Not any where near Texas 😂😢 they appear amazing, great vibes and help educate you and your daughters about their hair. ❤
I tried to schedule during the pandemic but it was a wait list and I haven’t tried again but have been meaning to. Sess, the owner, does great work and I’ve used her hair products as well.
I love this shop. I go every 3 months. So excited you found them. If she cut that amount, your hair needed it. Sess and team are the best in natural hair care.
Hello Martha! That salon is beautiful… The stylist was very informative, I’m sure allowing you to feel somewhat in trusted hands! We never like the ✂️ but we know it must be done… your crown/covering looks great👍🏽and with that Texas heat grow back in no time!
I love the treatment & the twisties but don't agree with the detangle process from root to end. I detangle with conditioner and im 4c. However, if I clarify using ACV homemade process, either works.
Love ❤️ the two strand twist...but not so much the cutting off of 2 inches of your hair....but it's your hair your choice, for me l'd had to take it slow and said to her let's start with a half a inch today and work my way up to 2 inches down the road. But your hair looks beautiful 😍
I live in Maryland and your stylist makes me want to get on a plane to get my hair done in Texas! 😂 I really liked how she handled your hair. Did she only use mousse to twist your hair and finish it with a little oil?
@@gordenmarthadove122 Sometimes I think they cut unnecessarily. I don't think kinky hair should ever aim to have a blunt cut because we have coily hair. I think a good inch would of been good. Girl, don't go back for a trim for another six months😊
Nope, I wouldn’t go back. That blowout was hardly a blow out. I’ve seen stylist get the blow out so precise your hair is almost straight and can revert it right back. And 2inch is crazy your hair looked healthy. Hope you’ve found a better place your hair is lovely btw thanks for sharing ❤
@Q.T-T Awwh that's cute 😍 *No, it doesn't help smarty pants.* You could've kept your sarcarstic remarks and idiotic assumptions to yourself, dear.🥰 (I addressed Martha, not you, n she answered me already. )
@@gordenmarthadove122 you welcome beautiful young lady as always 💞🌹💞💐 Tell your twin sister miss Brenda say hi and congratulations 👏🎉 too her and her husband I so excited to see baby boy come into the world 🌍 My daughter birthday was yesterday she just turned 41 yrs old wt a blessing 💐❤️🌹
@@gordenmarthadove122 U should voice ur concern about how much she cut & show her the video as proof she did too much !!! Don't like scissor happy stylists at all ... No boo u owe me ... 🤬🥴
My ick with going to the salon is the fact that no one scrubs my scalp good enough! I appreciate her detangling your hair while shampooing but she wasn’t scrubbing enough for me. I’m also a blow dried natural do what works for you,
Oh hell noooo! The cut ALWAYS COMES AFTER THE PRESS!!😢😮 I know somethings we learn to late!, but please remember that one! when it comes to your hair! Especially if you're going for length retention growth of your hair🙏🏿 that was definitely bad on the hair stylist part😡👊🏾 to cut your hair before it was pressed!! Do you a little research sweetheart, you'll understand what I mean. And if you do already know that, then no matter where you go or who's doing your hair if it's something that you know is right like that for instance,.. make sure you speak up because it's their responsibility to do right by your hair!! I've heard so many horror stories like this where they cut the hair before it's not pressed and too much of their hair has been cut!!🤦🏾♀️
My personally thought, she cut to much. And that’s why I always use a Male for my hair. 40 plus years. But that’s my opinion. Let them know up front. Baby she was scissors happy. Oh well.. Thanks for sharing.
