I Finally Found a Trailer for my Dodge Brothers Mini Semi Truck! 

Watching some random video of some guys rescuing a Jimny from the woods has led to Matt's, Paul's, Chad's, Robby's and Merlin's. What a great community.

If you would have strapped the flip ramps to the beaver tail it would have helped to counter balanced a little of the tongue weight.

Seen a guy he had a double tool box like what was on yours and it turned it into a sleeper. Complete with heat and AC.

Merlin, I love watching you and Pauls video's. I especially love your old trucks. I am frequently bringing home another old truck to restore. Right now I have a 64 F100 with the 292 Y-block I bought from the original owner who was 83 years old. I drove it 567 miles to home adding a quart of oil with each tank of gas due to oil leaks. The Y-block no longer leaks oil and if you are familiar with them then you know that is a major accomplishment. Compared to some of your old trucks that is a late model truck. However I also have a 55 chevy 2 door 210 in the garage as well. Love your 57.

Nice road trip. The windshield wiper (singular!) is awesome. You never have worry about having power for windshield wiping! All you wrecker game contestants should get together a make a full length workout video. Epic!

Merlin that trailer reminds me of those Stretch Limousines they have available today. They would make me nervous on all account. I realize as I am aging my depth perception is going to hell in a hand basket. That is a critical factor when you are turning. Something I would not enjoy doing on those long extra long motor devices. I guess the operators of those monster machines deal with on an ongoing bases.

Merlin, you're a one man gang. Towards the end of the video he talks about lopping the end off the trailer and shortening up the sides, 5 seconds later new clip, he pulls the trigger and its done, that's pretty cool. I think many of us figured we'd see that happen in the next video. You didn't even give the arm chair critics and nysaysers a chance to add their two cents worth in the comments. I liked the way you pulled that off in the content, it was totally unexpected and it left me with something to look forward to, it triggered me to hit the notification bell ( a good format for others to follow) Good job, Great Channel, love the old Chevy

Driving a 53' trailer behind a small truck without any flags or taillights at night on the Interstate is pretty darned sketchy. Glad no one climbed up onto it!

I loved the Old Chevrolet, Truck. My dad had a 1943 Chevrolet Chevrolet Army Road Tractor that we used for years . He hauled Lumber from the Rail Cars to Building Projects for Southern Lumber, Co. Back all through the late 1940's clean up to 1967/ He worked for the CB&Q RR and He would haul Lumber from the Yards to different sites. He Retired that year and just as he received his Rail Road Pension he died just 20 days before his 69 th Birthday. Choked to death on a Piece of Spare Ribs.

I have 43 foot trailer just like that one made by the same company I put a one bed kitchen bathroom on mine and can tow both my FJ40 and my motorcycles and 17foot square back canoe with my out board and travel the States love mine

This will make a Great Trailer ! The Phoenix bypass is a good one. Not crazy about all of the stops along the way . But a lot less traffic. Nice stop at Highway 8 to rest though. Thanks for sharing !

Dad (who is in his late 70's) taught me the old timers he learned to fly from used to use car wax on small airplane windshields because they didn't have wipers. Its cheap and the rain beads right off.

My dad really liked the dodge trucks from 39-46 we had a 42 COE that was an old CF truck and a 40 1/2 ton that were his favorites. I really enjoy the videos sure brings back memories

A friend of mine up in Vermont built a mini semi years ago using a 1939 cab on a Chevy chassis and built his trailer using a school bus frame turned upside down. It worked real well. He hauled firewood with it.

Back when I was hauling cars for a living, I would’ve loved that. I had that trailer.

Interesting finish to the video. Nice find on the trailer & a good plan to shorten it. Always a nervous time changing left side tires near the road. Surprised nobody moved over.

Only thing I would have done differently was Cut the trailer at that seam BUT I would go backwards and remove a 10ft section which would be close to your fenders I think then Fab it back together, I would hate to lose those boxes that are already there that you could upgrade etc and I wouldn’t mess with a deck plate unless you actually know there’s something wrong with it I worked on Semi trailers for lots of years so I would love to help ya out but I’m excited to see what you do

oh man all that old stuff. I would have loaded that trailer up with fun stuff to bring back with me. I just know when i buy my new house with some property that I will end up with a junkyard out back lol. Just got to keep it hidden though. I love having misc things to come up with new ideas with.
