Full stability is nice in this gun, no flinch at all

Range is not king anymore, doesn't matter if you get that extra 5 meters before damage fall off. Stability is king now, 91 stability Austringer is a laser beam. Shoot through flinch like it never happened. Small bore, RR, Eye, RF, Stability MW... You'll be taking on 2v1 situations and not even realizing they're shooting at you.

I was able to put Adept Range on my Austringer when I got it out the trials chest 83 Range 76 Stabil feels insane. Such a snappy hand cannon because of it

You should try out the 91 stability roll with 60 range before you make your mind up. You're only losing 2 metres range on this roll but you just cannot get flinched in a gunfight it feels like a laser. (this is with 100 resil and double unflinching mods).

@zkmushroom Your flinch is really bad because you're running 4 resilience. Also, fullbore hurts your flinch resistance (stability). With hammer forged and 10 resilience you'd have only half a meter less effective range and barely any flinch.

Pali is top tier but man austringer just feels solid all around and i like that there is no void or stasis color when shot. I've been impressed by how stable austringer is I have your same roll but I went small bore and I even bring this into trials

Are you sure you weren’t using opening shot in this vid? I could hear the sound effect for opening shot at times. Plus at 4:23 you hit for max damage on your first shot and then had falloff on the second even though the range was the same for both shots. I know you showed the roll before the gameplay but it really looks like you have opening shot on and not rangefinder

Oh wow didnt even realize me and u have the same 5/5 pali roll. Its good cause now you have god roll HC's in both slots, just depends on what weapon u want to equip with them. Duality with the austringer and wastelander with the pali for me :D

Fullbore with level 20 gets you 66 stability which is plenty. I had Smallbore before I changed to Fullbore. I can't tell any difference in flinching.

hey Zk, I think austringer won't be good for its range, but for its stability (like you said, the palindrome and other HCs have higher range potential). Its capacity for a high stability stat (reduces bloom/flinch), while maintaining "good enough" range makes it strong. I would recommend trying something like smallbore, ricochet rounds, eye of storm, opening shot, with stability masterwork. I also recommend using unflinching mods and high resilience, and I've enjoyed targeting adjuster mods (I'm giving up on airborne effectiveness this season)

If you give up on rangefinder for another perk, you lose 3.2m of range before damage falloff. As a note, stability does matter on M&K now that they've tied flinch to it so closely. Cranking up stability=more flinch resistance.

He wasn't even using the carfted one in this vid lol. His crafted roll has eye of the storm/rangefinder but in the gameplay, the one he is using has opening shot 😂

The fun thing is i actually did put adapt range on it because austringer was in my inventory when i got it XD

Just for extra stability, the argent of stability does nothing is invalid with the changes Bungie has made to what stability affects on both. Reticle bounce is one thing bc that's nonexistent on PC, but flinch is still a thing. Also you lose less than a meter between full bore and small bore, you go from damage drop off at 31.16 to 30.21 with ricochet rounds, also it's 10 stability and 5 range from ricochet. At least try it out, it won't take many materials for one barrel perk

You can probably take a Polygonal/extended mag/air assault/demolitionist roll Austringer (reload MW) into trials and still go flawless with it…

My palindrome (72 range, 75 stability, range finder) is not the same as of right now. I prefer the austringer.

What is the absolute best crafted austringer I have a level 35 aussy with snapshot enhanced and rangefinder enhanced running with full bore and Ricochet rounds.

stability and resilience help with flinch, to me, fullbore doesn't offer enough benefit to run on this HC, I prefer either smallbore or hammer-forged
