Peace OB I have one copped mine in. 2014. 50.DS love it Lots of looks when I go to the gun range real conversation piece. Dumb. Accurate. The Hammer is internal and the outer Hammer acts. As a decocker, you have to hold back the hammer and lightly. Release the trigger. Super Dope great pick up
@lifewithob to 357mag Feels really manageable. You don't notice the muzzle. Rise 38 special light work. Single action is crazy trigger pull is light. Double action could be better, but it's still a Smooth Follow through.
The "hammer" on the chiappa is internal. The thing you pull back is a cocking mechanism which is their method of making single action. Their cocking lever (which on standard revolvers is a hammer) is cut to be part of the rear sight. So it pops back up to have a reference to front sight iirc. I think it also prevents hammer snag like if fired from a pocket or purse.. and makes it so if someone or something gets in way of hits or blocks hammer chiappa will go off when exposed hammer could have been blocked snagged or jammed
That forward charger idea is so sensible I can't believe no one has done it before. I love pump action shotguns. Why would you try and make your Prius or whatever that is cool by putting Deadpool on it? Actually makes it look even way more douchy than it already is.
@@lifewithob Your channel rocketed into my top 10 firearm channels when you showed the 500 magnum pistol recoil in slow motion. Totally cool take on firearms all around. Hope I never have to use a firearm for anything but getting outside in the mountains and having fun with my wife, sons and friends. I like how you look for innovation and art in firearms. I personally love old guns like a hex barrel Mosin Nagant, D-Day authentic M1 Garands, Vietnam stuff, WW2 era pistols, stuff that went extinct for whatever reason
Maybe so but after many many pythons 686 performance centers gp100 and sp 101s the rhino new gens are absolute fave 357 I’ve ever owned ..accurate asf and barely any rise firing full house 357s than any other 357 manufacturer
I think it's 2 - key-AH-puh. I grew up bilingual Portuguese and English and I believe it has to be an Italian brand, "chi" is prounounced "Key". Great episode, never heard of Chiappa.
@@MrMagoo321 Italian is like the really cool older brother of Portuguese. I can understand it to a degree and have been doing rosetta to get better at it. It's really a super cool, historic and complex language.
You can sand the grips down and restain them red or something. Its not too complicated. Just need sandpaper, rags and red stain from the hardware store. Just dont throw the rags with stain in the trash it can catch fire.
Dude! Just found you and immediately became a fan. Some of the BEST gun videos out there, and you come across as genuine and really passionate without pretentious bs. Keep it up 👏
People were looking for you O.B up in Oaks this weekend 😂.. 🔥🔥🔥 a$s Pick up.. That M1 A for some reason has always been one of my favorites.. 308 is my favorite Rifle round..
My son is one of those cool guys in the Navy in San Diego where you have to be really good at shooting and such. He's exceeded the low level greatness of his old many by so much margin it's ridiculous. He badly wants a revolver because most of them carry Glock 19s and he's bored to death with Sigs and Glocks and pretty much any polymer pistol. I told him to get one of these Chiappas. If you're going revolver it has to be super cool, just my opinion.
@@lifewithob I ordered the new PDXSD in .300 blackout as soon as they showed up on the website. I didn’t think I would, but I like it way better than my honey badger with a trash panda suppressor on it 🤯 but I’m keeping the honey badger because it’s the og and it’s got a special place in my heart LOL don’t think I’ll be picking up one of the 8.6 boombox’s though. I don’t need 2 honey badgers and I’ve already got a really nice fully custom 11.5” 308 that I’ve been running for years now.
@@lifewithobPSA “the gathering” it was a 2 day range event. You might want to consider traveling for some of these - CANCON I was able to shoot the sure fire RC3 can 2 months before they released it at shotshow. There’s quite a few exclusives to be shot at these events - I have contacts with the Cancon folks lemme know and I can link you up, I believe they’ll work with Influencers that show up
@@lifewithob I guessed a 92X.....I just bought 92X Perf a couple weeks ago and box is very similar. Own a 60DS also. Love the 60DS but 'as designed' the recoil goes straight back to the forearm and when shooting .357 it begins to punish the web between thumb & index. JMO
When you cocked the hammer back it doesn't stay it makes the trigger less pounds to pull. The trigger moved back when you cocked it back. That caught my eye.
@@lifewithob I remembered you talking about how cool it was n I couldn't get what people like about em ... looks wise cuz I hate it - but yep, I nailed it !
Hey OB s&w actually have transfer bar safety, so even if hammer drops on modern ones if you dont pull the trigger it wont fire. There is an internal firing pin that can only be struck if the trigger is pulled
Internal hammer, that external "hammer" is just the hammer cocker. Does nothing with hitting the firing pin. I had to take mine apart to convert mine from SA to DA. Since I live in commifornia. You can't give the real version of the Rhinos. I had to get the conversion kit and convert it.
I'm cool with the "its different". its roughly just under a G. save up 3 more Gs and try out a laugo alien. I think the chiappa in large cal makes a great bear gun. the alien is a range toy, for sure. mad love, bro
The barrel and cylinder are upside down compared to traditional revolvers, giving it the low bore axis. The hammer is there to put it in single/double action, but ther has to be a firing pin inside
The round at the bottom of the cylinder goes off so that hammer would never work like a typical revolver. Maybe its like a reverse hammer where the bottom goes back instead of the top
I just can’t get behind a company that charges that much for a revolver with trash grips. Even a Taurus has a better grip than that. That finish is, oil slick PVD.
9:03 We literally had the same thought at the same time because I was looking at it as you’re talking about Mr. Trailer man. “What the suck is that?”🤣🤣
