I like to imagine that Chris' default position in his house is standing there on the stairs in between videos, just waiting on the next one to start filming... haha!
Duckbricks creepypasta. DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE FAINT OF HEART you're a robber going around seeing which house to steal, you enter with care to not awaken the owners. You look around to see if anything valuable is around but decide to check the basement in case any antique items are there. As you approach you feel like something is lurking there but there is no turning back now, you press onward and turn the doorknob and with as much care as to not cause a creaking noise and then, you see it... A man is standing in the total darkness with a wide smile plastered on his face, holding what appears to be a wooden duck. You feel your blood go cold, and right as you attempt to leave, the door shuts behind you and then his mouth then opens releasing those horrifying word... "hey there, thanks for tuning into Duckbricks, I'm Chris..." Years pass by and no sign of the person who dared enter Chris's house has been heard about until a report of a death in a asylum popped up on the internet. The report says the patient entered one day screaming and moving erratically talking about the man in darkness and his wooden duck, his mental and physical state deteriorated until one day he died after he jumped of the asylum roof...
Chris was so excited he forgot to edit out the first few frames where he’s standing stock-still on the stairs looking like a statue. One of LEGO’s early toys was a wooden yoyo, which apparently didn’t sell nearly well enough and they ended up having to recycle them as wheels for these pull toys.
hahah that’s amazing and i had a stuffed animal small duck in overalls named Ducky… little cheaper and went missing in a move and hope he is doing okay. congrats again chris and thanks for showing am pretty sure 99.9% of people in world don’t have that or one that in good shape like that or ever will and couldn’t be happier. little jelly too but you such a good dude and can’t think of anybody who deserves more!!!
I have a cat pillow that ultimately became the dogs’ favorite place to lay on the bed with me from my childhood still. Ended up having to replace the original stuffing with some modern memory foam though as it was so compacted from years of people and animals laying on it that the stuffing became hard pellets after a good washing.
"Only the best is good enough" sounds like a joke when you see off color parts and stickers that are still present. And not to mention brown bricks and fragile bionicle sockets from 2008 and up
GZ! Edit: I can't hear the quack; just the clack. :( Edit 2: Finally heard the quack when you demonstrated it. Also, what shall we name it? My vote is for Duckzilla considering how big it is compared to the minifigs. ;)
Congrats, Chris, you finally got the WOODEN DUCK! It is very good condition for its age and the fact it's a painted wooden toy. I didn't know about the quacking feature, that's really clever and charming. And yeah, opening a LEGO museum would be a great idea! You've already got quite an impressive collection.
🦆Word 🦆💥😊when i was a. Young teen. In year 8 in high school my. Wood work teacher. Got us kids. To make the. Lego wooden duck s. And then we had. To conect a line of. Rope to frunt of them and run and pull them along. To race them to see who s the farstest duck 😊. 👍👍🦆
Now you definitely have an iconic piece of LEGO history. I’m happy that you managed to obtain an official Wooden Duck from LEGO’s early days. Now you have it for your outstanding collection. Greatest job Chris and I can’t wait to see what you do next.
I really like the name of Chris's city. New Ducktropolis has a nice ring too it. Also nice to see that he has a wooden duck. But i had no idea there were a few versions.
“Only the best is good enough” I sure wish modern day Lego still held that sentiment. Now they’re more concerned about cutting costs to make a profit. Ole Kirk Christiansen would be rolling in his grave if he saw Lego’s business practices today
Please stop hording Lego. You literally dont even play with these models. All people like you have done is erupt the secondary market for people who grew up with this franchise.
One day he wants to make a museum, and while I agree that Lego is meant to be played with, I get into certain themes after learning their history (hence how I got into stuff like Roboriders and Slizer) It would be really nice to see other people getting to see these things, and have that same spark
