With the Cumbrian Coast Line closed south of Sellafield due to re-planned engineering works - it was very much in doubt whether the Saphos Train's scheduled steam railtour "The Lakelander" would run at all! However multiple sources assured me it was running, and it was still active on Realtime Trains come Saturday morning...
With the weather looking promising (if blustery) and having bailed out on seeing Braunton at Parton last time she was down the coast due to an erroneous weather forecast, we decided to pack up our cameras, head to Parton and see what we could see...
