@@karenntiamoah5256 because its a sign of healthy curly hair. if your hair doesn't shrink, its normally a sign of heat damage or some other damage. healthy curly hair has bounce =)

Robloxian Pancake Shrinkage can gauge the health of one’s hair. Hair is kind of like a spring...When you pull a spring down and it bounces back, it’s in good working condition. If you pull that spring/hair and it doesn’t coil back up, there is a problem in the coil. I hope you understand this analogy 😊

bridgeintoloh try putting hairbands on them. i wrap hairties down each twist and leave them in for a day or so, then i remove them and wear my twists as is for another day, and when i take them out my hair is defined and much longer.

GiiiiiiiiirrrrrrI, I can’t master a twist out either, every time I twist my hair it comes out so pretty but when I go to unravel them..... I can feel the ancestors telling me it’s not cute lol. I will literally try to fluff and shape it as much as I can and I just give up and and agree with them and end up mad cause I wasted my time lol 😂

Carrigan Barnes If it takes awhile for your hair to dry like mines try to leave your twists in for about 2-3 days to make sure it’s 100% dry, unless you have a hair dryer to speed up the drying process🤣 Anyways the key is to make sure that your hair is a 100% dry so that your hair won’t frizz up too much. 💯🤗

It takes me 1½ hours but took me a bit over an hour when my hair was about armpit length. I separate my hair into 10 sections which helps a lot. It used to take me 5-6 hours to twist.

@Kimberly Cherrell I have a question. Do you need that brush or detangling brush to comb it out before you twist it?? Or can you use a soft bristle brush, or comb to comb it out the way you did before twisting it??

You should try putting on a shower cap after you finish your twists and apply heat so the products can really penetrate and moisturize your hair. I have low porosity hair and that helps me A LOT!

you ever tried braiding a couple times at the top and then twisting the rest? I LOVE IT. it basically separates your hair when you take it down AND it gives you stretch. 😭🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 i’ll probably never go back to JUST twisting anymore. and the textures aren’t noticeably different, so it’s literally perfect. don’t say I ain’t try to put y’all on game now. 😂

I only do 3 stand now. My current killer combo is shea moisture make it last wash and go, and Camille Rose curl maker. Some how it lasts a week these days. Lol. Of course I leave it in twist for a week then wear it out for a week. Jamaican black castro oil on the ends and twist. Child boo. Life and you making me wanna trim my bangs lil momma.

Did u add a bonnet on top of the scarf before bed? I asked because my twist ends will be all twisted up or sideways after I wake up. Its hard to get them to get straight again. A good tip to help elongate your damp twists are to put those silver clips that they use to wrap a silk press, put those at the end your twists. It helped me a lot cause I hate shrinkage 🙃 one con is that they may be uncomfortable for some so I just keep it on a couple hours, definitely not overnight

I like to braid or plait root to stretch a couple times then 2 strand rest tight and roll hair between fingers as I do it. Watched african do this. Similar to senegalese twists. ❤❤

This is really random... but do you still recommend the Jane carter Nourish & Shine butter??? I know you stopped using oils and I have too, but I was considering purchasing the butter to apply to my ends in between wash days (my hair is low porosity also). Thanks in advance!!
