RIP Shoesring. Mark and I had spoken back and forth over email. We had spoke on meeting at the Worcester line and document his travels, as I'm a photographer. I had intended on tagging along but life events changed the circumstances and was never able to meet him. I wish I had the honor of meeting him, but a simple correspondence with him was honor enough. His tag on canvas sits high up on my office wall. Thank you for honoring his memory.
How Blessed are you to Meet the Legend of the High Rails. Mark is Every bit as Nice as your Chance Meeting him alongside the Tracks. Your Best Lucky Day Ever. 👍🙏
Hey there, Ray.. I’m here after “meeting” you over on Shoestring’s channel and I’m your newest sub. Sure is a small world, isn’t it? Hopefully we can say howdy if you’re ever down near Alvin TX. Be safe, my friend.
☺️👍 Multiple times he has passed within a few miles of me... I watch for him on every train I see... One day I will meet him. I also look for his tag but so far I have not seen one.
Hobo Shoestring. A life well lived. Mark is the REAL King Of The Hobos and always will be. Thanks for everything Shoestring. RESPECT Sir. Rest In Peace Rider.
I’ve been watching his videos for a couple of months now and now I just found yours. There’s another rail fan on here from around Cleveland/Ooltewah Tn here. @Train Crazy
That "tag" is called a moniker, my friend 😉✌🏽 its us tramps and hobos way of lettin each other know where we've been and also a way to say hi when we see each others mark around.
Too cool ya met him. Nice. Yeah whenever I have a good day (at work, or in general) and I get a chance to come across a green signal and I film a train, I always tell my wife it was a great day today. In your case, it was an awesome day. Cheers to ya ☺
That's awesome.. my youngest daughter and myself are going to hop a train for the first time and I'm 53yrs old. It's been my childhood dream to hop a train.
Blowing his spot up come on now but I'm willing to believe that this was all agreed upon sound like a very special guy because nothing from nothing. I sure like to be in your position right now. I ain't lying
Glad that you got to meet the legend himself, Shoestring. I know what you mean by being nervous when you first met him. I was the same way when I first met him but found out there was no need to be. He's just as down to earth in person as he is on his videos. Subscribed to your channel. Take care
