That's how I feel about Command and Conquer: Generals (With GenLauncher and the many mods, like Contra). It's even more asymmetrical than AoM, by a wide margin!

Evidently Atlantis was added as a pantheon via the first expansion pack. There was a second expansion too but, as I understand it, it was developed by a separate studio and universally disliked. Thus this new version just focused on the original and the first expansion.

@@willstrife That would explain it. Must not have ever played the first expansion pack, and just the base game, back in the day. So never did see Atlantis. Cheers, Strife. Mystery solved.

@@klaxoncowthe Atlantis expansion for the original game was solid. It induced ‘Titans’--all that comes with Retold. Excellent update.

Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos Even after playing AoMR I still prefer the hero system that War3 had, it was much deeper and combat influencing. And, while I'm not a fan of MOBAs like League or Dota, we wouldn't have that genre of game without War3. So credit where it's due.

If only they had similar hero system as warcraft 3, we may have played DOTA on AOM.

I'm part of the old guard of RU-vid, made my channel in 2006. Once upon a time I was part of a fairly large troupe of talent called the Yogscast, and that boosted my visibility. Since then I've taken a much more relaxed approach to making videos. All that to say my view numbers are down cause 18 years of people growing up means people move on.

@@willstrife I don't mean to bash you, but I think it's because you've been putting out let's plays which aren't discoverable in the search with how much supply there is from all the huge channels putting them out on release day. I'm no expert and I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but if you want to grow your channel then it may be wise to revise your content to be more viral worthy and/or make videos on new indie games---with some, but not too much hype---the moment they release (and before if you can get beta access) to be found in the search. A viral video idea that always does well from what I've seen are those "I Survived 100 Days in X-Game and Here's What Happened..." or some commentary video reminiscing on the good'ol days of gaming and how it used to be more fun. Seriously, those videos always seem to do well. Just try something new and I wish you the best of luck.

@@Justin_Shadow I think I'm more excited to see some total makeover mods, assuming they made the engine thoroughly customizable. I have played C&C Generals for 21 years for that reason. I use GenLauncher, the mod manager and it's mind blowing what the community has been able to do.

@@aa01blue38 They announced and released it on time, but they made us wait months upon months after putting the word out. It’s a freaking remaster for crying out loud.

This is the 2nd remaster, isn't it?

@@PH03NIX96 Yep, it was remastered in 2014 and instead of upgrading that and charging for it, they decided to do another complete remaster and make us wait a long time for it. Microsoft…

This is a remake using AoE3 engine. So all of the assets have to be ported, or get built up from the ground. Its not the same of a remake that still uses the same engine and tweaks the assets, essentially "updating".
