Just a little over 1 year since I payed off the condo unit and moved in, at long last, I received my Condominium Certificate of Title (CCT) from Megaworld!

Yippee…glad to see that you finally got your Condo Title. Congrats Jay! Everything takes forever in the 🇵🇭 😂 I bought a lot in 2016 and my Transfer of Title took forever and ever. It took 8 months!

@@BGCDreams me too!... i went through a lot of people.. and there was a time where i did not know who to talk to because people were being shuffled or replaced etc... apparently, after you close a deal and pay the full amount, people disappear... not only for Megaworld, but for all the real estate developers in general...
you should be pinging them for updates to receive an update status, that tells you about the corp.. they should be to providing the update on at least semi-weekly or a monthly bases.
Thank you for your video as i gained some knowledge. It was interesting to hear that you were given specific instructions on how to dress/not to wear. Was the individual a clerk or attorney who presented you with the condo documents?
Oh yeah, we got that in the email that was sent to us, confirming the appointment time & date. It was strange for me to see since we've been to their building and office many times before in the past, never experiencing any issues with shorts or flip flops. I figured it wasn't worth the hassle to have to turn around, so we just complied 😂🤗 It worked out so all good. tbh I don't remember the title of the person who met up with us in person but it wasn't anyone we ever corresponded with before via email. Hope that helps!
Even in the secondary market, it will take 6 months minimum to process the transfer coz you will go to different government offices like BIR & ROD! 😂😂😂
Gday, just purchased my one in Mk West.. Was it a matter of just lots of bureaucracy or did they genuinely try to not give you the title? See you soon neighbour.
Congrats to you po! We hope you'll love your unit at McKinley West 🙌 tbh, I'm not sure why the process is so slow... I don't think there was any intentions to delay, so I'm guessing it's just the bureaucracy and way things are done/processed out here. Hopefully in the end, it all worked out 😊
Congrats man !! Does it say anything about what happens in 50 years? i get confused with the 50 year condo rule in PH .. puts me off slightly. Uptowns arts has my eyes
No mention of anything after 50 years... My understanding of the "50 year rule" for condos is along the lines of the following: "Condo Ownership Lasts For 50 Years The reason for this misconception is the Condominium Act of the Philippines that qualifies a condo unit as a corporation with you, the unit owner. And like all corporations in the country, the lifespan of your condo is limited to 50 years only. What people don’t realize is that this law only applies to condemned buildings. The law also states that you can vote if the project should be restored, modernized, or remodeled before it is considered obsolete. And although the corporation expires in 50 years, your ownership does not. As a shareholder, you still get a share of the profit from the condo unit. Also, materials used in buildings today are improved than in 1966 when the law was ratified. Did you read RA 4726??? You are still lucky to have your title coz only up to 40% of foreigners can own a condo in every development so don't get upset & frustrated!😂😂😂
