That's the problem these days in a lot of franchise dealerships, when they employ clowns. One of the reasons, btw I have been in the motor industry for 30+ years, never use a franchise to service any of our vehicles. A good old non franchise mechanic is worth 10 of most franchise mechanics.
And also my sister used to work for VW in Milton Keynes years back , she left because they are an unethical company trained to deceive their customers and rake every penny from you , very bad people mate.
Mate the shit you have to deal with is just not worth it, it’s not even cheap when you are using rapid chargers, just stick to diesel no messing around and you can use the heaters in winter

The sad part is that’s someone that is stuck with the piece of shit lucky I leased , that’s a £42,000 van and they can’t get £15,000 for it at 2-3 years old and they talk about longevity and sustainability…. I also saw a E-Transit advertised for sale at the ford dealership in Leeds it has been the electric demonstrator, registered in December (23Reg) with only 1800 miles on it obviously everybody is keen to take that van out on Demo. Just over 9 months old with that mileage 😀 Its racked up those 50 miles a week getting moved around the compound 😂@@ProBuildCarpenter
Hello there first time viewer/subscriber as youtube algorithm recommended you to me , I agree EVs are a total scam , you would be better off buying an old van like a Renault Kangoo van , my friend Joe whos a plasterer has one 65mpg £6 to do 70 miles , I think its ULEZ compliant too as its only a 1.5 diesel cost him £1200 and on 165 thousand miles no major issues , I would not buy an EV its a false economy.
There was nothing wrong with the van. They’re just shit like that. Most all EV’s learn your driving style and take into account weather / cold. The 82 miles would only be possibie in 20-25 degree summer weather without wind and without climbing in elevation at moderate speeds. So: there was nothing wrong with the van. What was wrong, is that VW completely and utterly failed to properly communicate before sale what the WLTP range figure actually means and what situations could be faced in reality. And probably in all communications after. Those vans are only meant for business that serve other business that demand 100% “green” electric transport. And only within city limits. Any form of speed above 50 mph will completely destroy the range on these vans.
The van was doing 42-45 miles in the end completely empty doing short trips, and ontop of that when I first got back into it it was a cold night and had snowed I turned the key and I think around 8 miles dropped off the clock I didn’t believe about the memory of the van and I could not find it anywhere to research and other vw garages laughed when I told them they said it was nonsense, you may be right and they may have been telling the truth but you are 100% correct how it should have been explained before hand of it was factual they are horrible.
