Fun facts about Alastor: -He was a radio host/serial killer from New Orleans in the 1910s, 20s and early 30s (hence the voodoo vibe he gives and symbols that sometimes show up behind him, nah hes not hitler lmao) He died in 1933. Exact cause of death is unknown but I think Viv mentioned in one of her streams that it was police and police dog related which explains his distaste for canines. He was probably also shot in the head since you can see a red x on his forehead during the final scene. -Alastor is half creole, can speak broken French and is confirmed to be a mama's boy -he is also a cannibal and frequents the cannibal colony where he meets his friend and fellow powerful overloard Rosie. -Alastor always smiles cause he considers frowning a sign of weakness -Alastor is based off of a dear in his design (hence the deer ears, antlers and hooves under his shoes) and is loosely based on the Wendigo. -He hates modern technology (anything after his death) and his main rival is Vox the TV demon -Al is asexual and has no interest in sexual relationships -He was the first character Viv created
i’m not sure about the police thing, but the going theory is that a hunting dog attacked him as he was getting rid of a victim, and the hunter mistook him for a stag
Viv has stated numerous times that Charlie even though she embodies her fathers angelic softer side could be strong enough too thrash alastor or stolas if she finally rampaged
About everyone disrespecting Charlie, next to no one in Hell respects any actual authority, being all selfish jerks. The only reason anyone pays respect to Lucifer is out of fear for what he could do to them for backtalking him. As a fallen angel, he is THE most powerful creature in Hell. Charlie's a genuinely nice person, so the other demons see her as a pushover.
We all did exactly the same thing with that wacky news text. 😂 Good catch, I've heard that was an early design for Blitzo there in the studio audience! There are a few other crossover bits - in the Helluva Boss pilot, Loona is watching Charlie's song on TV. And the robot-Fizzarolli clown at Loo Loo Land definitely ripped off her song for part of his routine. So it sounds like once a year a troop of angels comes down and kills demons to cut down on overpopulation. In Helluva Boss, Striker was using one of the guns they left behind to try and kill Stolas at the harvest moon festival. I have been wondering if we'll see an Extermination happen someday in a Helluva Boss episode. Charlie tries so hard, I feel bad for her. Maybe Lucifer doesn't like having a Disney princess for a daughter. Trivia bit - that last quote, the one in cursive, is by Lotte Reiniger. She invented the early animation style with the shadowy-cutout figures against a light background, that they used in the opening song. A lot of modern animation uses her technique without giving her credit so it was nice to see they gave her a shoutout here. Rumor has it new episodes of Hazbin are coming in June on HBOMax. In the meantime at least you've still got "Addict" to react to. The song was made by fans and it was so good Vivziepop made an official music video for it.
Unfortunately it got delayed but good news is Vivienne just released the trailer and Seasom 1 of Hazbin Hotel officially comes out sometime in January 2024 and has been announced that it was renewed for a Season 2
This came out much ealier than Hellva Boss and has many beta designs for Hellva Boss. You noticed beta Blitz and Loona, but 2 Owl Demons who look like Stolas appear at the TV Studio and Moxxie's silhouette is part of the crowd. The Owl like demon you noticed is a early depicton of Peimon, Stolas' dad and one of Lucifer's trusted lieutenants. Originally I.M.P. was mentmot be like the Team Rocket to Hazbin Hotel, Moxxie and Blitz causeing havok that boomerranged on them. But Bandon Rodgers convinced Vivizy to make Blitz the main character of a spin off to work on while Shopping Hasbin Hotel around. A24 Bought it and it will stream this summer (2023) on HBO Max. Designs will be more refined and their will be a new voice cast. Lucifer and Lilith are Charlie's parents. The two small Goat Demons who played piano and sang backup for Charlie are Razzle and Dazzle liveing stuffed toys she was given as a child that happily serve as her minions. Charlie of course has the soul of a Disney Princesses so Razzle and Dazzle are her only minions. Angle is a spider, the son of a Mafia Boss his family all became spider demons because of the "Web of Crime" they where part of, he probably overdosed on coke. Theory is Vaggie was homeless teen forced into prostitution and died from a shot though the left eye (which is why it's and X) Alastor, theory is he was a prolific serial killer and radio peseter in the 1920's/1930's who got shot when he was mistake form a deer while disposing of a victim, who hnia why he has antlers and deer ears. Nifty, theory is she died in the 60's and murdered her husband, she has one eye because she can only focus on one task at a time. Husker, no would theories but a gambler can get into serious touble and do shady shit to keep playing. The truth of all of the character's all be in the show of course. The universe of the show seems to work on the idea of a finite number or mortal souls, that get reincarnated fo new people to be born. Go to heaven you can chill and enjoy paradise till you get bored and then reincarnate a remnant of your original self in the new person. Hell you suffen untill you redeem yourself Angels called Exorcists come to hell armed with Blessed weapons, die to a blessed weapon and your soul is "cleansed" of all traces of you, and reused. Hell is overpopulated because Lucifer won't let Sinners leave the Pride Ring, so while the other rings have room Pride needs annual cleansing, and no one knows of a sinner who got redeemed. Chalie's quest is to redeem souls.
Drinking is not considered a sin but the over consumption of alcohol is what makes it a sin. When you drink to much and become drunk you technically lose control of yourself and that's bad cuz it can make you sin more because your not all there.
Also gonna drop the obligatory ADDICT PLEASE. For real though, the song is an absolute bop and the video hits hard, but be ready for some fucked up stuff. This one was fun though! "A Day In The After Life" and "Dirty Healings") Also, regarding Angel suddenly sprouting a pair of arms while fighting Sir Pentious, it's cuz he's a spider. He's got eight limbs, he just keeps two of them folded up most of the time (Likely just to make drawing/animation easier). As a heads up for Addict, he's got a "pimp" of sorts in the form of Valentino. For real though, *fuck* Valentino.
