I’m an oncology nurse and administer chemo every day. I LOVE my patients. They are so strong and honestly you would never know it’s as hard as it is because they don’t want to “complain.” Most of them I have it drag it out of them to tell me about side effects. I enjoy watching these videos cause it gives me a better understanding of what they really go through and everything I don’t always get it see. Way to go! That treatment is one of the hardest. Congratulations on finishing chemo and I wish you all the best on the rest of your journey. Also, the nasty taste of the saline is the most common complaint I hear haha

I was crying this entire video and didn't realize how much I needed to cry. Delia, you exude such grace and strength. I honestly don't think I've ever seen another human that shines so bright. The beauty, kindness & hope that illuminates from you is inspiring. I just found out a couple weeks ago that someone close to me, someone that I love so much, has cancer. I think it's really bad. He just got a port put in his chest a couple days ago. He needs surgery but they want to do chemo first. I really don't know what to think or feel right now, to be honest. Seeing you today & being reminded of your journey that you so graciously shared with us, total strangers, gives me a little hope. Life is funny. I've been praying for you all of these months, someone I've never met, that you survive this horrible, dreadful illness. Then out of nowhere it just became so personal, invading our lives now, completely unexpected & uninvited. I'm still praying, for you, for others & now for the single most important person in my life. Someone who has never let me down, always loved & believed in me when I couldn't find anything worth believing in or loveable in myself. Now is my opportunity to give all of that back and I'm so paralyzed by fear that I don't even know how to start. And then your smiling face pops up on my screen & gives me a little hope. Your smile reminds me of your journey & that this is a battle that can be fought. This is a battle that can be defeated. I'm still scared of the road ahead of us, but it definitely looks a lot more manageable accompanied by a little hope. I really needed that today so I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart! Keep being amazing because you are touching more lives than you will probably ever realize. 💕💕💕

I just got diagnosed with breast cancer last week, and I'm 19 weeks pregnant. I haven't started my treatments yet. I know it will be difficult but I am already looking forward to having this moment as well. Great job and stay healthy, Delia!

Your journey is only beginning, because the best is yet to come!! In 2018 my son was 21 and diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. I will always remember the glorious sound of the bells ringing when he finished his treatments. After 19 chemo treatments and a stem cell transplant, my son is over 2 years cancer free, working full time and in a committed relationship. Yes, Delia, life is only going to get better for you! And then I realize that my issues are so small and unimportant. I unfortunately tend to whine and moan about things that are really not that important. But I'm working on that and you really help me. My shrink told me, “don’t waste your cancer” Those words mean the world to me because cancer changes you, and it allow you to be a blessings to others who go through it too. Bless you , and may you journey be filled with joy, and blessings.

My husband was diagnosed with a grade 4 aggressive brain tumor in the beginning of August and on August 6th he had that tumor removed and on October 6th he will begin his journey of chemo and radiation. Even though they told us this tumor can grow back we are hopeful that it won’t. You are such a strong person and you will get through this just like he will. I always tell him you have to have hope until there is none and be strong every single day.

I also went through chemo and radiation at a teenager. I can’t even explain the joy in finally ringing the bell. You brought back that memory for me today! I pray you stay healthy and clear! ❤️ it’s been 3 years in remission for me!

Ok. I have been through 6 spinal surgeries, severe chronic pain, severe nerve pain. Completely bedridden for 5 and a half yrs. I lost my ability to teach or do any work. I was suicidal. I too have saved every admission bands as they tell a story. I only say this to you because your story has resonated within me. I thank God for his grace in getting me through. I cannot imagine going through what you have... more than once. I have been praying for you. When you rang that bell it was like a boxer being declared the winner. May the blessings of God be upon you both. May the healing power of God reach into every cell of your body as you get stronger and stronger. You absolutely posess all of the qualities you described at the beginning. I can't stop crying. I hope you went home and had a long hot bubble bath, cried tears of joy, hope and gratefulness, to wash it all away. I pray that God will bring the right surgeon to you. That the heavenly Father guides the surgeon's hands to do what needs to be taken in a finite way. I have been where you have been love. The last day is exciting, scary, nerve wracking, but most exciting! I'm 4 years cancer free! Although things afterwards didn't go easy for me during my bilateral mastectomy with expanders, numerous infections, multiple surgeries, and 1 1/2 years on antibiotics caused a major sickness called c-diff, which is deadly and I thought I was really gonna die from it, chemo was easier then c-diff, and now I'm prone to get c-diff the rest of my life. In fact I just fought c-diff again 2 weeks ago and again, I truly thought I was gonna die. I pray everything continues to go smoothly for you! You're a pink sister now, and a true warrior and survivor! In this together, nobody fights alone. Your fight is my fight! ❤❤
