you can also recognize clayface by the way he talks to batman. if you pay attention, youll realize that the real joker never calls batman "batman" but rather "bats" or something like that, its only clayface who calls him "batman"
Yep. Also if you make your way back to where Joker is facing “the mirror”afterwards you’ll see there was never a mirror there. If you pay attention you can see his “reflection” moves differently. It was a great twist but you could piece it together.

There are a few hints throughout any interaction with Joker, Harley and even his henchmen. Harley actually spoils it when in the church. "Mr J isn't feeling himself lately , well he was but thats not what I meant" And in the Steel Mill " Oh Mr J you look great, oh wait it's not you" Joker Responds while coughing "Shut Up Harley" And in the Joker is Back video when getting into the steel mill after the cure is stolen you can hear Joker coughing while holding the camera for Clayface while he proclaims he is back and feeling better. its likely more.
Also in the steelmill the joker , and the henchman fight before protocol 10 happens you can use detective mode and the fake joker/ clayface has no bones like clayface in aslyum
When you fight those hammer brothers and that mirror cutscene takes place when you go back afterwards you see there’s not a mirror there. Also his “reflection” in the cutscene moves a little differently.
Definitely one of the best plot twist in a video game. While 2 of them. 1. Clayface Twist is so genius tbh. 2. Actually killing off the Joker is a bold but great movie tbh.
What I love about Arkham city is the details. There were so many hints on Jokers plan: When u fight him in the steel mill and go to detective mode, he has no skeleton At one point in the mill, when Joker is on the monitor talking to Batman, u can hear a cough in the background signifying real Joker recording "Joker." "Joker" is always called Batman by his name instead of bats And when u first encounter Harley in the mill and fight off her goons once she goes back to Joker, u can hear her sat. "Mr. J, u look perfect. Oh wait, it isn't u 😔"
Also when you go back after that mirror scene you see there’s no mirror there. I wish they hadn’t added that last thing you said. Makes it too obvious.

And for the DLC, Kevin Conroy did lower his voice so he could sound more aggressive like he let himself down by not saving nor Talia nor Joker like he was in agony and that's very good that you noticed. Online Origins was lit. It's like call of Duty with criminals shooting each other, with Batman thrown in there to stop the criminal war. It's a mix I never expected to work as well as it did
It was almost like Star Wars Battlefront also in that you could become either Bane or Joker if you were doing well enough when playing as the gangs. Batman also gets Robin as a teammate so you can have someone to actually work together with when playing as the vigilantes. Very interesting concept but man is it a lot harder to juke and hide from actual players when they spot you compared to even the hardest AI in the game. It doesn't help that the normal gang members all get a limited form of detective vision either. It was definitely interesting what little I played.

There were a few hints about Clayface being Joker. They went through most of them before the reveal. There is a period where Joker thugs reveal that Joker is wanting you to fake bring sick before revealing he is not to surprise you. When you encounter Joker for the first time and he knocks you out, there is the sick Joker in the chair and a healthy Joker knocking you out. Then in the next scene, the sick Joker is talking to you. After the Mr. Freeze fight there are two Joker images left in the safe with one of them looking scarred. When you fight Joker before Protocol 10, it is clear in the "mirror" that one is sick and the other is not. Also, during that fight, if you use detective vision, you will see that the healthy Joker you are fighting has no bones. This straight-up tells you it is Clayface. The fact that Joker wants the cure despite appearing healthy is also a hint. I guessed the ending before getting to it, though many people were surprised by it.
Yea I thought “no way he’s healthy” with him wanting the cure so badly. Also when I went back to the hammer brothers fight stage and grappled to where the “mirror” cutscene took place there was no mirror.

There is great foreshadowing if you wait for the bomb to go off in the church but also you should do the joker’s carnival challenge map in this game as all the characters i swear it’ll take hours it took me nearly a day it’s so hard

My friend had it on 360 and I thought it looked so terrible I didn’t play it again till like 2 years ago on my cuz Wii U. I’m still not a big fan of it but glad I finally beat it.
