I FIXED MY 632CI BIG BLOCK CHEVY WITH JB WELD! 

I used JB Weld to fix a cracked timing case cover on a friend's Yanmar marine diesel. I told him it was a temporary repair and that he'd have to buy a new cover. That was 12 years ago. ;-) Yep, that engine's still running fine. My offshore "MacGyver" kit consists of duct tape, wire ties, JB Weld and 3M 5200.

It just hit me why I like this videography so much: the race footage hasnthat vintage look that reminds me of the old-school drag race videos. Awesome!

I worked in an automotive machine shop, we would take porous cylinder heads and hook them up in our pressure tester, A) see the leaked… BUT AS A SAFETY MEASURE we would put a ceramic sealer in to the head, then rotate the head, and add pressure once again to drive that sealant into the pores. We did a lot of crack repair and did this procedure as a extra measure of insurance. Good luck!

Jb weld has been fixing stuff since before I was born. Sometimes, it is the best thing that you can use. Lol

A hell of a way to have to fix a set of $10k heads. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do. Great job my friend.

I did a 'temporary' JB weld fix on a carb many years ago to get me through the race weekend. It ended up staying on there for 5 or 6 years until I sold the truck. It's good stuff, works in a pinch and lasts!

Here's an old one for y'all DON'T SCRAP IT!! JB WELD IT!!! I have used this stuff to fix everything from sheared keyway on a 70 lt1 350 to a couple broken air fittings on a semi truck. ( which got me the 75 miles to make a proper repair ) they made me a believer Still carry the stuff, won't leave the house without it.

So it ended up being a porous casting ! Wow. I only saw that once working on engines. I'm really glad you guys found it. I just used high temp JB weld to doctor up some exhaust ports on an old Wisconsin W4-1770 and it is holding up great.. it's great stuff if you use it correctly. Can't wait to see the next vid, love the boat content.

Glad to see you got it running good! That probably justifies the amount of time and money put into it. JB weld is awesome, I had it on a oil pan for over 7yrs!

I've used jb weld for 3 purposes in insane conditions in small 17k rpm 2 stroke engines, from modifying intake port shapes to case stuffing. Ive even kept a broken ring scored nikasil cykinder in operation with it down the length of the bore for 2 years. Just keep the methanol away from it in prolonged exposure.

I'm really liking the format of these mini series episodes. I've never had good luck with JB Weld in the past. It wouldn't hold my cracked block together on my old Toyota. Maybe I needed that "Wire Care" heat gun... Great video of the racing.

I once fixed some very expensive industrial machinery with JB Weld. The fix/casting was an oily and very difficult area to clean. That fix held until the machine was scrapped 20 years later.

I have used JB Weld to fill in the top of the deck on the block where it had cavitated out . Worked Great!

Water looked like glass, which is great! JB weld is good, we use to fix head and block cracks with pipe plugs designed to snap off when they reach a specified torque. They get overlapped and run from end to end of the crack. Great stuff, and if I paid that much for cylinder heads, I would have expected them to be pressure checked for flaws.

I'm not particularly into this type of cinematography, but I really liked this series

I had a pre-emission 351W that didn’t have hardened seats in the heads and a valve mushed the head bad. Half of one of the new seats wasn’t touching the head so we JB Welded it and it held for over 100,000 hard miles!

I've been trying to destroy jeep tjs in the woods for over 20 years and I always carry jb weld and jb water, that stuff is so good that temporary trail fixes turn into semi permanent fixes lasting months. I'm going almost 6months on a jb water fix after I had a 2" freeze plug rust out on me. I've also patched several holes in oil pans with it that always held up until I bashed the pan on a rock again. That stuff has saved my ass mnay times

Next time, gouge the leaky crack with a scribe in a crosshatch. Other than that, you're kicking ass buddy!

It was a great day to be racing even when the Parker dam lowered the water. The race was still going after a good scramble to get things reset.

Game Over was, and is, a very cool boat, and I loved the colors. But I gotta say, Mike...this boat when on the trailer, it looks very nice, colors are great; and when it takes a set, this boat looks awesome. When I think of badass jet boat hauling the mail, this is the pic my brain conjures up. Just one guys opinion.

Some of us our junk would fail with out JB weld. I went 5 hrs to visit a friend on my street bike, he forgot to mention the two gravel roads just before his house. My buddy that went for tour got pissing around and shot rocks one poked hole in my rad. At my place I could repair have the right tools, my buddy is a house painter with no automotive tools. Cleaned up the vain bored the pin hole pushed JB weld in side so it work like a plug nice second coat over it. Never had a problem was pretty nervous don't want antifreeze getting on tire, I filled it with water just in case. It lasted rest of my summer about 5000 kilometers, I had a new rad but why fix it not broke. I've repaired oil pan no problems out lasted the truck, just make sure to prep area the stuff is amazing.

I had the same issue with a tko500 case leaking. Coated the inside in jb, totally fixed it.

Any time you get over 70 miles an hour on water it fills like your flying ! Looks like a blast.

i have seen JB weld hold a big tractor steering knuckle together for 5 years.. stuff does miracles

I run a radiator cap on top of intake water outlet. If psi goes above 16 it will release.

Great product. I tried to jb weld a motor mount/crankcase on my rc nitro engine. It ran well. But it did come apart in flight. I did clean it, but probably not good enough. 😐
