Yea me too I liked them the only thing I hate is the bushings the wheels with no bearings and like u said the trucks change all those with the Olympics ones and u got a good board
Love that you tried this! So, this is actually my jam, modding Tech Decks. I like collecting and modifying things in general. Also, I like the width of a TD and weirdly find the weight and pop of plastic more solid and accurate for me. I find it more enjoyable to hunt down TD's I like, shave down the nose/tail, etc. I can try and gather like 10-20 for the cost of a pro-board too lol. That let's me experiment with different shapes and lengths, which I'd be terrified to do on a $50 deck. As others have mentioned, it appears they still make some with that hard-line concave and some without. I've actually sanded one down to be smooth and it worked out well, then just stuck a graphic on it. The trucks CAN be acceptable with good bushings, but most of mine have new trucks on them. And obviously the wheels. But I have made a giant necklace now with all the original TD wheels as beads lol. Great video!
Hey, is there any way to accurately shave down the nose or tail to a pro board size without a reference (like a pro board to see how much to shave)? I want to try and make my tech deck better
Yo, you all seem pretty experienced in this, I used to do it but I quit for a year. I’m just getting back into it, can you guys give me some tips? I’m gonna go back to make videos of it too. If you do, thanks a lot bro. And if you don’t, that’s fine. :)
Don't bother, just buy a hot wheels. Decent tails, much less concave, wheels don't fall off. If your starting out it's from a toy store it's hot wheels all the way until you need a pro board.
