I barely got to talk to him which was unfortunate. He seems like a great guy but we were both very busy and didn't really get to connect. However I think it is way funnier with that little clip rather than a video of he and I talking aviation.

HAHAHA Have fun. The Comanche is the hardest plane to land ever. That high deck angle plays with you and it takes about 100 landings to get comfortable. . Did I see that one is down for engine work?

@@JustPlaneSilly Paul had that engine off the airplane, accy cover off, put back together and the stuck valves released, and engine remounted in 3 days.. He is a SOLID mechanic. If you want the gritty details, just ping me tomorrow afternoon on my cell..

This time of year, the funny Bryan takes a backseat as we have so many flying events in the spring and summer. So it will be VLOGS and flying documentaries for the next 3-4 months but my "List of funny ideas" has about 300 items on it so we will get back to the certifiable content soon enough.

When I was in the USAF 1964-1968 Crew Chief C-141A (43151E) 503rd OMS Travis and Norton AFB's decided to go with hazardous flight pay instead of flying status, got payed for every flight not just once a month and was making around $600 a month, big money in those days Was a flight mechanic and when taking a plane out of docks (we used monthly inspections not hourly ) would fly as high (50,000 ft) first transport certified to do that as fast and as slow it would fly. Always going back and forth in the cargo compartment listening and looking for anything that would be a safety of flight write up. Sometimes it got a little exciting at times when hearing a big bang or the electrical relays would start cycling off and on at the forward bulk head Went on to be a crew chief on C-130E's CAANG 146th TAW and really saw the world with those although slow compared to the C-141A could go into and out of much shorter landing strips and unimproved fields all over the world, Asia, S.America. My plane was 64-1799 ( now master aircraft mechanic 43171E) and at 30,000 flying hours depot put new wings on the plane and just kept flying until the "J" models came out, by then I had enough and retired in 1990. Being a sillyvilian was and is really boring.
