It’s more of the ace vs hole in one debate. To me an ace is a shot off the tee that goes in where there’s only one true shot that can be a hole in one and that’s the first shot
@@jakekeck1142 the word "ace" is just another way to say "hole in one" in my opinion of course. Especially with my overall ace count. But that's just me
I'm still debating in my head the definition of an "ace". I hit one last week but it was my second throw off of the tee. I can't seem to force myself to count it 😂 It would be my first but being my second shot off of the tee....ect ect... My mind starts the debate over and over again. This looks like such a fun course. I think I remember Simon playing it 🤔 Can't remember lol
@@otisbrowndoggaming I feel like unless it's laughably short (like 100ft or less) then it shouldn't count. That's my take on the distance thing. Because a lot of holes can be really difficult (especially in woods golf) at 200 or even 150.
@@johnshepherd6925 I just say I have 15 aces but only 6 real round aces. If you make in from the tee pad into the basket it’s an ace unless the hole is just super easy
The real answer is no, they're not. Yeah it's tee to basket, but if we all counted aces after throwing our first shots we'd all have dozens if not more.
every disc golf town needs one of these! I tried to buy an old putt putt with a driving range to make something like this in KC but missed out on the property.
Short courses like this are great for a rounded game, especially for Ams and new players. My distance has decreased with age so the 200' up and down is critical for scoring on the longer holes. I mean Pitch and Putt it's roughly 2/3rd's of the round. Scoring well comes from that. And Amazing Ace Runs, Congrats on 201!
This reminds me of Re-Tire which is outside of Tulsa, OK. Fun little course with lots of ace runs, weird mando's and structures to throw around. Baskets made of tires (PDGA Approved).
Robert .... please come back to announcing disc golf. You are by far the best! The DGPT needs to pair you up with Brian Earhart. Nice to see you out playing again.
Artificial OB with a string on the ground is more gimmicky than the hanging buoys imo. I agree, let's add them to a pro tour event and wait for the haters
Dillo is fun but being from San Antonio I'm not driving an hour plus for this. The reason why this is worth it is because they have an actual 18 hole course
yessir idc what people say. If its from the T its an ace.. Lucky for me my only ace was the first try, but even if it wasn't I would defend that point of view.
This course is a more gimmicky version of what we've done with a local safari layout on a putter course. This would be so much fun to play and so frustrating if you didn't bring home an ace at the same time.
They ARE gimmicky . If you want aces play a real course. This is a course you take your wife , girlfriend or kids to . Come on man ! If disc golf isn’t hard why don’t you have 400 aces .
