I actually know alot about scps, and the bear is not hitting him, it is emitting a very loud audio frequency (the scream) which then the person is manipulated into tearing there ears off, which then the bear uses to make another bear, made out of ears.

Actually the way SCP-1048-A killed it’s victims was by emitting a blood curdling scream which caused the growth of ears on the skin and in the respiratory system of those in a select radius, they then choked to death. You were very close though.

SCP 1048 is a stuffed teddy bear made out of human ears bloody ones. A human in the length of 10-20 feet of this monster will hear this humorous screech radius coming from the bear then the bear will strike at the person taking off the ear and killing it from the high pitch of the sound it makes.
