there is some drama in lore about drake interplanetary knowingly selling their ships to pirates, as 2/3rds of all pirate ships are drake. To mirror the kendrick beef, they could have the “Kendrick and Associates” private investigation firm reveal documents in its possession which indicate that Anden Arden, much like his predecessor Jan Dredge, is knowingly selling their ships to pirates.
Same experience for me, extremely good preformance in 3.23 everywhere. EXCEPT the expo hall, nonstop stuttering, sometimes up to 5 second freezes. Also, in SCL they talked about not wanting to do more wheeled vehicles becuase it adds tech debt for when they gotta overhaul the entire ground vehicle code, because all the cars / tanks still use the old Cryengine vehicle code (which is why they are awful and stiff to drive).
The 'Nursa' actually does fit in the C1... with some modifications. Cpt Foxyloxy recently showed in a video that you can shoot off the Nursa's wheels and tractor in inside, after which it fits quite snuggly actually.
Shoot off the tyres of the Nursa and then you can tractor beam it inside the C1 Spirit. On the side of caution, use the nursa side door, as the rear often glitches through the cargo grid.
Well we know that after this invictus the Polaris is going up in price which will better display the difference between it and the A2. Personally I think the cost of the A2 is so high because of it's potential against ground targets like player bases, something that is able to effectively devastate a hostile (or random if you are a griefer) player orgs base is going to have to be of high value in this game. So I don't think the price fits the ship itself(being a Hercules), but rather its gameplay (anti-structural bombing).
I was the same trying to find the Polaris fly by. I believe it’s meant to be at Everus Harbour station, went there and initially just found an Idris M and Hull B docked and able to tour. Going back there can’t find either of those ships anymore to tour (didn’t have a chance the first time I spotted them there) and still never seen the Polaris there or anywhere else after jumping around to every planet station..
29:03 Fun fact I actually just saw where if you shoot all the wheels off the ursa you can tractor it into the c1 bay if you lift it over the angled door panels on each side lol maybe not practical but it works for sure!
"We need more roads, then we need more cars" What we really need is player housing. Where big cities basically have a different server for every city block which you can rent apartments in. It's an absolute pipedream though... But what a dream! The penthouse gets it's own landing pad for shuttles, like even if the city was largely procedural, if they we're thorough about it the players could make it lively themselves
The number of times I forgot to press the record button on my camera while creating my RU-vid videos is embarrassing. I know the feeling, but your is fresh! It's tantamount to doing an essay and the blue screen of death happens. A fury with a quantum drive, oh man that would be so good.
I was stuck in the armory where the armor suits are stored, which look like pods from the M2 Gun Ship at the Invictus Hall. I went into one and closed the door but couldn’t open it from the inside. I had to ask for help in the chat. It made people laugh, but I got out in the end. 😅
Olli: regarding the cost of the A2 vs Polaris - The A2 is flyable right now. The likelihood of its price being adjusted upward is very low, and if it happens won't be by a lot. When the Polaris goes flyable at IAE this fall, its price is going to jump. Count on it. I'd speculate it'll be closer to an 890 Jump's cost; I don't think they'll cross the magic $1000 point where they automatically add LTI to it.
When it comes to the Polaris flyby, there were issues I saw in the PTU where it would either fail to spawn completely, or despawn early. Also the timers on the screens are typically broken.
I managed to see the Polaris a couple of times yesterday by following the idris to the next station. When I got to the next station, I looked around for a group of ships (with named pilots), usually ~15km away from the station. That group is almost certainly the group with the Polaris
The idris was glitched just outside of bajin point, I flew a pulse out to it and tried to get in the back but it wouldn’t let me. So I shot it and got a crime stat. 😂
Do note that the drake concept doesn't necessarily mean it's combat, DefenseCon is not restricted to being combat the Mule and Vulture were revealed at DefenseCon
10:40 I want to want that weaponized motorcicle, but then I remember Cyberpunk 2077 and how weaponized vehicle are for a reason also existant in SC - lack of weapon convergence. Vehicles NEED weapon convergence to hit small targets, so unless those guns track or at least converge they will be mostly for show.
I also really want the Ranger, but looking at current ground vehicle physics and remembering what they said about driving physics in this game in the most recent ISC I think, we might be lucky it's not in the game yet.
I feel like ground vehicles would be way more cool and useful if they had something like fortified ground facilities that forced you to engage in ground combat - either by having really strong AA coverage or something like a UGF but imagine something like the Geofront from Neon Gen. Obviously not that big but something you could at least drive a nova down with gun emplacements and such.
Maybe they could add a Mirai Pulse Recon or MPR for short it's engines still go nearly as fast the standard and racing variants but it has a far quieter engine meaning you could sneak it into a restricted area as long as you aren't seen you wont be caught cause they wont hear you unless your right near them! my stepdad brought me up on airwolf and I just liked the idea of vehicles that you couldn't hear in a recon scenario, maybe you could make the visor of the Pulse recon have a windscreen visor on it that works as an infrared imager in the dark on that note!, I was also wondering about cloaking tech in star citizen not for any weaponised ships or vehicle variants just the recon ones with a sort of predator shimmer effect!
I dunno about the A2 cause i've never flown it but I tried the C2 in engineering in Arena and I can tell you the noise at the back of the bridge is annoying constant and headache inducing I didn't like the C2 bridge's ambient machine sounds at all! as for pricing I feel like either the A2 needs to be less or the Polaris needs to be smaller it doesn't make any sense them being the same price... but considering how large the Polaris is and what it's likely gonna be capable of I think 800 is a temporary price until they've seen it in practice in a game environment then I expect they'll probably increase it accordingly to what they think the finished product is worth! Love your description of the Inferno being *A Gatling Gun With A Ship Attached!* I agree the Mercury Star Runner will have more use and I think a Nova will fit in that vehicle hangar better than it does the Carrack due to the Carrack's upper lip of it's door just being too low that heavy machine gun got stuck as I recall when you tried to get the Nova in, but the Star Runner has a wide vehicle hangar door so it would have no issues getting most land vehicles in it's bay if not all of em! I hope when they give the Carrack it's next pass they'll in the words of symbiote Peter Parker "Fix That Damn Door"!
There are some hints to a corvette size concept ship from Drake in the works, from people talking to devs at Citizen con/bar citizen events, makes sense as Drake's missing something in between the cutlass/corsair* and the Kraken. Hopefully we'll get some news on modules for the cat sometime soon too!
Appreciate the content man. Polaris will definitely end up a good chunk more. Agree if you had to pick now, the Polaris for me seems the better pick for the gameplay.
You need to make a new player's guide! It would be perfect timing as the new player event is coming to an end and if people decided to buy the game they would be looking for a guide, on top of that, summer is starting soon! I've had the game for a long while and I was playing when it was relatively unplayable, I've been looking for a good guide and I'm sure others are as well.
I think the reason the A2 is so much is because its currently flyable and when it came out is was one of the larger ships, I would wager the A2 will become cheaper in the future and the Polaris gets raised in price to $800. (btw the polaris is like 5X cooler than the A2, can't wait for it to come out)
I've owned an A2 in the past but melted it due to lack of use, very cool no doubt. But Polaris I've been waiting on forever it seems and I have one with LTI and name reservation waiting on me, absolutely cannot wait until November for its release.
Im not a fan of the C1 atm. It gets ripped apart easily and has a massive profile. I always come back to the MSR, I've melted it and repledged so many times. The big reason for loving the MSR is that the cockpit view when landing using the Tobii is a dream. Plus it has a very large cargo cap for what it is. Same with the Aquila. I have my nursa on board meaning I've turned the Aquila into a flying, fighting hospital. I've pledged a polaris after melting some of my hangar.
Jared already said on the latest SCL that it's a concept, so that should eliminate any potential of it being a straight to flyable. As it is Drake which isn't obligated to adhere to the ILW ship limitations my hopium is on the Fatypillar/Supermax Cat freighter concept that was leaked 6 month ago.
I like the Tumbril cyclone jeep MT. It's fun and easy to use. I still don't like the MSR because it's under-gunned... it's only good if you have it fully crewed. Strangely I didn't like the C1 interior... i enjoyed the Freelancer MAX more - not sure why though
The fact that the A2 is currently the same price as the Polaris is a crime, however, the Polaris is confirmed to have a price increase. It says on the website this is the last chance to get it at ‘this price’
cause they want ppl to FOMO buy it cause they know ppl wont buy it at an increased price cause it puts it again capital ships like the idris and kraken. they would rather sale hundreds at 750 now than 5-6 at 1000 later on. Marketing runs CIG now
The seams between the concrete slabs of the convention center look slightly uneven in some places. - The mere fact that a star system can be discussed in the same way as the seams between concrete slabs in a convention center on a planet emphasizes the attention to detail that the developers have shown here.
If the Citizencon 2023 rumor is true, its gonna be a Drake Corvette. Would also be a little hit against the RSI Polaris and UEE. Also from invictus press kit "As ever Drake DefenseCon ramps up as the Invictus party subsides, and rumors has it Drakes’s latest reveal is set to cast a (very) large shadow over the UEE’s parade."
Drake's big thing? Mega Caterpillar that's my guess. A large cargo hauler above the Caterpillar. Since Drake DefenceCon isn't purely combat (Hence why we got the MULE last year)
Olli- so funny when you say you are a car 🚗 guy, love the sleek and slim lines of the Spirit, and then expect the Ferrari slim to sit taller? Did i understand correctly? And NO, Ursa doesn't fit in the Spirits 😢
I wish I could play. I made the mistake of picking a different home location than Area 18 (the least bad one), and the performance is so bad I actually can't escape Lorville. I tried for 2 hours and the game kept crashing, I lost all of my gear and couldn't even leave the atmosphere.
Oh the Starfarer.. If you'd tried to get onboard and into the cockpit, you would have a stronger opinion on the redesign of the Interior. You could play hide and seek in it for hours if one doesn't know the ways around!
Imo I feel like once the Polaris is out its gonna have a price hike just like most of the ships that enter concept to release, its prob gonna hit atleast 800 and may even hit 900$
Personally think all the Miri pulse ships should have the shield and cameras, the different specs for the guns/missiles is enough for me as they look and perform differently. Ahhh wipeout, cut my teeth on Wipeout. Pirana. Advancements baby 😂
This game is amazing and I haven’t even played it but I do want to double check is this game worth it how enjoyable is the gameplay plz give some advise
Opinions vary from person to person. In saying that, I love Star Citizen, and am so excited to be apart of it and what’s to come in the future. Try the free fly and see how you feel.
I always loved the ion since i'ts cannon is gret for turrets and i'm more a fps guy that did mostly bunkers, but i got totally sad that they nerfed the ion with shooting sppeed, it is super slow now and you have to always press LMB to shoot and it shoots once every 2 second. i would have rater preferred a dmg nerf instead of speed nerf.
Aegis day, should reveal the price of the Sabre Firebird, giving us the final piece of the puzzle of if it's worth paying for or not. IF it's closer to the cost of the C1 Spirit or lower, then I'd say more than not. However, if its cost is closer to the Hornet MKII, then definitely not.
CIG should just simplify to endgame status the way things going... just swap all weapons FPS/ship to foam nerf ammo. then care bears cant cry about being shot anymore.. to bad we cant change our minds and pay CR with fake money, since real money investments wasnt the real goal all this time it was just ment as a placeholder lol
i rather the A2 over the polaris, mostly because polaris can do very little outside combat, and beside turret only weapon are torpedeo, so gonna cost a lot to drive it. the A2 can carry vehicule or cargo or oher stuff ^^
I'd be pretty disappointed in CIG if it was a concept. Concept sales are one of the reason why SC has such a reputation for being a scam, and iirc they said they were going to stop doing them.
Too many bugs still, everytime I try to play SC I get frustrated. Last time my ship randomly blew up and when I woke up in the clinic I couldn't equip anything but the clinic vest...
Polaris will get more expensive after it's released. Every ship in the game has done so and will continue to do so. Also, rather than question if you should spend $750 on an A2.. grind out 45mil and just buy one in game...
you're comparing the price of the military Freelancer to a standard C1 , the standard Freelancer which is basically the same ship as the cutty black , C1 etc is actually cheaper than the c1 and Cutty that being said i think youre wrong about the c1 and in my personal opinion is 1 of the best ships in the game currently and until real data running/exploration and multi crew comes in to effect there's no reason to take the MSR over it
