Yeah but I literally tried this bro and now after the Factory Reset it's srsly asking me what my pin is from before I reset the whole phone!! And I LITERALLY don't know it.. I just got the phorn, tried to set it up a fast as possible before work earlier today and rushed thru it so I cns use it for work cuz I do security right. Well, I rushed thru the beginning stages of setting the phone up and rushed thru it, set up a random pin like it asked me to in the beginning and I shut it off for a second then turn it bskc on and its on the lock screen, I tried to enter an old pin that I always use for all my past phones and it didn't work. And I TOTALLY FORGOT what I set the new pin to on this BRAND NEW phone bro!!... So I tried to just Factory Reset the whole entire phorn it worked but now it's asking me what my previous pin is that I used to set the phone up and I do NOT even remember what I set it as!!! Now the factory reset was literally pointless because it's asking for the pin to get bskc into the phone but I srsly don't know it... HOW do I bypass this part to get into my nr phone??!.. I'm glad I didn't waste my tien setting up my email and logging into all my apps such as RU-vid and Facebook etc.. Etc.. Etc.. I never got to all that!! I just rushed thru it and set it up real quick so I cns make calls for work (Such as: Calling my companies Security phone number to Clock In at work once I got there and also calling my boss to let him know I arrived) and then I shut the screen off, I go to turn it bskc on and it locked!! I do NOT even REMEMBER the darn new pin bro... Please help bypass this??!!... Thanks!! Ughh SHEESH!! LOL😅😅
There are 2 things for you to keep separate one is the screen lock The other is your Google log in. If you factory reset it and it's asking you to log in it is asking you to log in with your Google account which you should have since you're using RU-vid. The factory reset will 100% remove the screen lock which is the pin password or pattern when you first set up the phone. Take a deep breath retrace your steps and you'll get it. @@JasonClements I'm sorry to say this doesn't work and I know many times the factory reset will rip the password 100% but my phone doesn't work and that freaking password did survive all that the hard reset that is impossible and that really annoying the password pattern... I'm sorry to say this is depends on the company Vortex whatever the Android on the others iPhone weakness the hard reset can rips the password 100% and I really agreed with this but I never seen on the phone was hard reset get resist the password pattern to survive all that I can't believed and that going to say this really busted myth from the company Vortex the Hard reset. 😑
On a Vortex HD65? That usually only happens when a company programs that into the phones that they give to employees. Which the Vortex HD65 is not a company owned phone. If you try to reset it again and you don't get the menu to include "Wipe Data / Factory Reset" I would take it back to your provider - or call your customer service to request a new device. Yes. Factory reset erases all pics, vids, apps, messages, everything. You can back up to google before you reset it. Settings > Google > Back up - and follow the directions. Good luck ! !
If you get to the Android Recovery Menu and get to the Factory Reset Option and you go through that process, and it still wants your google / gmail then the phone has been set up with the "find my device" or "find my phone" security. You cannot bypass that. You will 100% still need your google / gmail to log back into the device to use it. This process (in the video) resets the SCREEN LOCK. Good luck to you.
You are in a tough spot - you 100% need the old Gmail / email and password. One place you may look... Go to any computer that you used in the past. If you go to the 3 dots or 3 lines in the upper right of the browser > settings > autofill > password manager. Look for Google or Gmail account. Other than that, unless you have a physical copy of old passwords, then that phone will be locked forever. Good luck to you.
When you picked "Wipe Data / Factory Reset" and push power for "ok" THE VERY NEXT SCREEN says: "Wipe all user data?" THIS CAN NOT BE UNDONE!" Unfortunately, there is no fix. Maybe you were lucky and have been backing everything up on your google account. Sorry for the bad news.
Describe what you are doing then describe what your phone does. Do you mean that it wants you to sign into your google account? If that is the case, then there is NO WAY around that. You 100% need to remember your google/gmail account login and password.

About your HD62 Make sure you didn't run out of battery while you were resetting it. Make sure you are charged up plenty. If you have plenty of charge, try this: 1. remove battery 2. hold power for 30 seconds 3. replace battery and try the Button Combo Again (volume up + power) That should get you forward.....and then follow the rest of the instructions in the video.
