i actually fought against a person with aimbot in a turf war of all things thing is i was hiding with a roller and this gal was about to climb the platform i was on so i waited and they immadiatly shot me down so you think at first "ok maybe they saw me move but then i was hiding under the sniping platfrom in snapper canal thats right out side their spawn with the view to the middle and the inabilty to ink from the left (you know which one once you stand on it) and i saw the gal respawn, they went to the platform i was under and i didnt move the whole time so i waited for them to drop down without moving and then 5 sec later i see the gal falling aiming directly at me hitting everyshot and killing me needless to say i reported them but that was weird

Hope they're bad and don't use a hack that guarantees they win? That's basically what it is in Splatoon 1, lol. A competent hacker can make it impossible to even leave spawn, let alone have any chance of winning against them

Chara, how is it that you can keep playing without feeling burnt out? Every time I try to get back into Splatoon, I always end up feeling burnt out after a week or 2 and subsequently stop playing for 2-3 months. Are there any tricks such as switching weapons/playstyles/modes to combat boredom, or is it more of a “Don’t play more than X hours at a time” thing?

@@ProChara That's a fair answer. My entire existence has long been devoured by depression at this point, and I literally play one game right now, that being Payday 2. The fact that I naturally don't get as much joy from stuff, and thus tend to drop things fast, has been something I've gone through for years now. Still, I'm hoping that the third game hooks me for a long while. Those new movement tricks seem cool and my brush goblin brain is going nuts over that Octobrush kit. That Suction Bombs and Zipcaster combo are going to ensure that my friends suffer.

Some people might not know it but there are still many people hacking in Splatoon 2, bypassing antihack. Ex: Wider FOV, hardly noticeable aimbot

Don't worry. It's very rare to find an aimbotter, if you ever do at all. Upon that, if you're in X rank then your opponents already have crazy aim, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

You may have meant this to be funny, but now that I know it's possible I may get cheated in splatoon 3 I cannot bring myself to buy it. I was only considering buying splatoon 3 in the first place because it was supposed to be a safe haven from hackers. Now that trust is broken until I see strong evidence that this cannot work in splatoon 3. I hate cheating so much that I quit pvp shooters on PC for good, and if Nintendo can't protect their games, then I'll quit pvp shooters entirely. I refuse to play with the possibility that I lost because someone cheated.

Splatoon has incredible moderation, Ive been playing since release and ive NEVER seen a hacker. I dont think you have much to worry about

Neither of these players are bad or malicious, most of the hacks provided are actually just cosmetic and fun (weapon skins, ink color, night mode) which don't affect anything. This was a requested private setting and never used outside of it by these 2 specifically.

The scary part: Aimbot exists in Splatoon now, and could be tweaked into Splatoon 3 eventually The nice part: it’s currently in a controlled environment and is easily noticeable and reportable if required The spazzing and heavily stretched ink is absolutely bonkers, in a private lobby you just laugh at it in the end

When you record you don’t separate your mic, gameplay and the output where people are talking tracks? Maybe it slows down editing a ton but I find you can polish things up more and you don’t have to worry about syncing since all the recordings start at the same exact time

@@ProChara oh sorry. I remember watching a part of the video and thinking it was weird having comms there. I think it was 7:28 when things got slowed down and the comms did too, or maybe it wasn’t the comms idk. Even then I feel like the audio cue helps since with no audio it would feel very strange with just silence but if the gameplay audio and everyone saying stuff in comms got slowed down then it would be really weird but that’s not happening, it’s just a minor sound being slowed down. If anything it helps people realize the current clip is slowed down faster than without the sound. Really should have said a time stamp then to when I felt that way bc maybe it wasn’t then. Idk maybe part of this was being really tired then. Sorry about this.

I know this is old, but best way to combat aimbotters, is to use portable barriers of your own. Ink Armor, Splashwall, Sprinkles, Baller and playing around it.

Just have discord open on your phone or computer and use a splicer. I forgot the official name but it has two jacks that plugs into both your switch audio and phone/computer audio and merges them so you can plug your main headset in to hear both simultaneously. When I'm lazy I just adjust my switch's volume so discord doesn't pick it up and only run one ear for discord
