9:51 I went to Thailand the first time in 2018 and I felt exactly the same. There's something about Thai culture where you feel embraced and welcomed, no matter what walk of life you are from. The food is also some of the best in the world. It's a special place and I hope you find a home away from home there.

As your brother who also lives in the UK, I travelled through Asia and felt the same you do. Out of all the countries I visited, Thailand and Hong Kong were the places I truly felt appreciated and welcomed. The most disgusting treatment in Asia I received in Singapore and Malaysia where they literally spat at me for being Black and in Bali they tried to sell me drugs and fake passports every 5 minutes knowing very well that caries the death sentence over there. Thailand in particular is so far the only place in the world where my Blackness was not an issue but actually a reason for them to be extra nice and see me as family. It's like the Thai are aware of the struggles we face around the world and embrace us whenever they can. Not even in Africa or the Caribbean among my own people have I felt so welcome and appreciated as in Thailand. The memories of Thai people helping me find my way while being lost in Bangkok without me asking, feeding me food for free just because they refused to take my money in Chiang Mai, flagging down tuktuk's to get me maps and even insisting on paying Tuktuk's to get me back to my hotel without me ever asking for help or money will forever be cherished by me. Thailand is not a perfect place but it's definitely a million times more civil than the west as long as you obey the rules, use your brains and show mutual respect. You did damn well leaving the UK. As I type this, the UK has sunk even more in the past few months and it's now a right sheithole full of hate, racism, corruption, murder, rape and extreme violence! You will have a mega culture shock if you decide to come back here, it's like a war zone.
