@@chasebishop4580 Tony just keep coming though even when he was hurt he can endure and he never slowed down petis slowed by just being in front of tony
@@chasebishop4580 Tony was giving Pettis a beatdown, he just didn't want to fight anymore. You're delusional if you think Pettis was winning that fight.
Dude Kevin Lee was right in on my mind when Chael mentioned laziness dropping off not working out during a break where has Kevin Lee been he thought he was the next up big thing and he's fallen short twice now his name used to be in the mix
@Rohaan Rane Vato 209 I agree. Yoel did win the 2nd fight.

To the casuals that think Yoel won the 2nd fight. Stfu. Whittaker clearly won 1,2,4. At best for Yoel he got 1 10/8 round... regardless it still means Whittaker won. Whittaker is the much better Athlete and fighter, Yoel is just explosive and durable
nota russianspy lol. i think u should stfu. better athlete? fuck no. few guys in the world can claim that. robert ain't 1 of them. lost the second fight? fuck no. robert got hurt everytime yoel would exhale basically. he lost that fight. romero was robbed.
"I felt Diaz and he was hard" "I wanna see all positions I wanna see Pettis on top I wanna see Diaz on top" This homoerotic subplot is getting pretty deep.
@@NicolaMaxwell True Bro. If a guy knows his masculinity and he is secure enough to say something like that, good on him. I am basically the same, I know I am 100% straight so I don't fear hugging another guy ( as long as he is not of Prince's type). It's the guys who are insecure about their masculinity who are reticent to touch another straight man. Look at other cultures, In High school we had foreign exchange students from China, brothers who held hands when they walked together. IT IS PART OF THEIR CULTURE.
It was a great fight and I was glad Nate won. It crazy listening to this after seeing the fight. It happened almost exactly like Chael predicted. Nice bro 👍
1st Mofos! Chael, you fought Superman in Krypton, We know you have fought everyone and anyone! You are the Undisputed, Lineal, and Franchise Champion! And you "See" everything! Your eye doesn't sleep! Salute!
I am so happy Chael has RU-vid. Best story teller in MMA. And if you havent seen the Dave Chapel Charlie Murphy stories you're missing some of the best comedy ever. R.I.P Charlie Murphey.
Pettis never really gets the respect he deserves. Nobody has had a harder schedule in the UFC in their entirety than Pettis. He's been fighting nothing but the absolute highest level of competition in three different weight classes since he entered the octagon. Never once fought a can or asked for an easy fight. Never backed out of a fight, always looking for the best possible opponent to sign a contract with. Not only won the belt, but defended it against some absolute killers. Lost the belt to RDA when he was an absolute machine running through 155, no shame in that. Submitted some of the best wrestlers and BJJ technicians in 155 and 145, his transitions on the ground are seamless. Has some of the cleanest kickboxing in the entire UFC roster. Legendary highlights. Always tries to put on a show for the fans, always goes for the finish. Even when he loses he still puts on some of the best fights on the respective cards he fights on. His wars with Poirier and Ferguson are the kind of fights I can watch over and over again. It's a shame that if he loses to Diaz he'll be regarded as a scrub, and if he wins it'll be a "fluke". I love watching any Diaz brother throw hands don't get me wrong, but I hope Pettis wins so he can get his two minutes on the mic. If Nate wins they will try to set up the Conor trilogy, if Pettis wins he deserves that fight instead.
Even a grappling match with these two would be amazing. That being said, I think it's gonna be bangarang on the feet the majority of the time. Diaz doesn't seem to shoot for many takedowns in general, which frustrates me knowing he's a Gracie black belt and would likely have a higher win rate if he did... Whether it's pride, a willingness to entertain, or just plain habit, the Diaz brothers like to stand and bang. Gotta love the Diaz bros.
Chael, I am a big fan of yours. I would listen to your podcast at work all the time until they prohibited from having my EarPods. I’m glad you have a RU-vid channel. Your podcast is great!!!
@@Mr-E. Chael talking about Diaz being hard while he hugged him and then he mentioned he wants to see Diaz and Pettis swap in the top and bottom position....that's proof right there!
If Diaz gets on top... and he's already hard... I think we know who's getting f**ked. However if Petis can stay loose and absorb that pounding without tightening up too much, then he might just enjoy himself as well(?!) #JKG@NoHomo
@@clownshoesmma6249 he quit against RDA, Max, Dustin, and for sure in the fight against Tony. He was starting to quit in that Wonderboy fight also. I see him quitting tonight also.
Anthony Westerman Tgats the 4 I was remembering. And he pretty much did quit again. There’s just something about him that makes me not like the guy and wtf was his game plan? It seems like he never has any strategy except run
@@clownshoesmma6249 he wanted to quit in that 3rd round when he was hurt and almost did when Nate put the hooks in and went for the RNC. His gameplan was to back up and hope he landed a counter punch that would put Nate out. Everyone of Duke Rufous' guys have that gameplan, he reminded me of Woodley in that fight. I don't like him because he thought he was hot shit when he had the belt.
Nate's ground game is so underrated. I hope he's been working on some wrestling so he can get some of these guys down. I think he could go on a run. Awesome boxing, great cardio, and nasty jiu jitsu
Pettis was getting smashed by wonderboy until he got lucky. Diaz hasn't stopped training, boxing, competing, & doing ironman triathalons.... & he's been a practicing no joke Cesar Gracie high level blackbelt for years so....
Great story.... love your show Chael ! Good to see u on ESPN, they recognize your knowledge. Ty for all the battles in the octagon. One of my favorite fighters.
