@@demogorgonzola I don’t understand why the developers of streetfighter don’t continue to update games like this like third strike in the right direction like for example crouching medium cake with Q is not super cancel and I just don’t understand why that like really holds the character back from being just as good as the better characters in the game and it seems like a pretty simple update and I don’t think any player that really loves this game is going to say why would they make the game better and complain they would just be like I’m happy that every character is viable now

As the book reads: Defense : 1st taunt 4/32, 2nd taunt 4/32, 3rd taunt 12/32. Stun Recovery Speed increased by 10%. Not a glitch. In the back of the book under Personal Actions.

It's not a glitch, every taunt (except Gill's maybe) gives a hidden stat increase. Hell, Hugo's taunt has the same effect as Q's iirc

That's an interesting fact about Hugo's taunt, I thought it was temporary but it indeed seems to give a 6.3% defense boost per taunt (up to 4) for the remainder of the round, at least that's what is written.

Q's defense boost isn't a glitch at all. Every character's taunt gives them a buff of some kind. Hugo's increases his throw damage, Ryu gets an attack buff I believe, etc

That’s the awesome thing about 3rd Strike, even a weak character like Q can smoke the strongest one because of how freeform the game is. Theoretically, if one were to be good enough, they could just parry every attack that’s thrown at them and be unmatched.

It was 100% intentional. And that is literally Q's entire gameplay strategy, if you run away from him, he'll taunt and get health boost, get too close, you run the risk of eating Q's giant damage.

As a chun player Q is my worst opponent. Chun will murder someone that cant play Q but the moment you can do the little Q quirks i know i will lose. In that sense to me this video was double fun to watch.
