Just admiring how many people are realizing how good of a narrator u really are. I think u are very underrated. But with time u will have as many subs as the most popular cp narrators if we have anything to do with it.
YES ! He climbed from 18 or 20 k to 30 and now more than DOUBLE since I started watching around ...maybe a few month ago. Lockdown can make time bend , really... That's so amazinh to watch ! So let the algorythm pick it up ! Give a thumb (up, not amputate it) ... And hold your thumbs (or toes, in case you need the thumbs to text) ^^ 🙃
I stopped the story at the death of the baby, I can't handle stories of babies or children dying. I'm already paranoid as is of that happening to one of mine.
The only thing that kept me listening from that point was the hope of vengeance - skipped a good three minutes ahead from that point though. The ending did not give me the closure I needed.
I don’t know, most of our grandfathers were a tough lot, a lot more physically demanding work. Rage can also be a disadvantage against a skilled fighter who can take advantage of reckless attacks. Mind you “fighting for your family” is going to make your completely relentless. Good story regardless.
@@kylefinnegan985 depends on your relationship with your grandfather. I'd kill the dog myself the first time I saw it, if it were me in that situation. And would bury his body if possible, sooner than I'd starve.
I was thinking the same thing, those couple are very irresponsible parents! Who would let a dog who has eaten corpse into their house? No sane person would let an animal who already tasted human flesh into their home, specially when they have a child around! They are the ones who killed their daughter!
I need a part 2!!! Omg this was amazing I love this channel. Its hard for me to not get distracted and click away from an horror stories that aren’t animated but most of the stories you’ve posted locked me in and I’m grateful! Im sick and disabled stuck in bed and you help keep me distracted from the pain and misery I go through! THANK YOUUUU
Sorry 😢 to hear that bro Growing 🆙 in Baldamore city 🏙️ ova East I too know what it feels like 👍🏽 to not only go to 1️⃣ but I’ve been to 2️⃣ baby funerals⚰️🪦🕊️⛪️🙏🏽🛐. & it is one of the saddest most gut wrenching things to go through. The type of pain that never 👎🏽 goes away you just learn how to cope with it. But it always hurts.
Sir you are a masterful storyteller and if I’ve said this before forgive me. The character voices the pacing are all spot on. You honestly have me listening to your videos while I’m at work and at home. Needless to say I’ve clearly become a fan.
@@LighthouseHorror do you speak to the author on a personal level L.H.? because if you do maybe you could persuade him to do a running series where its like a curse getting passed down a few generations, like rumplestiltskin wanting your first born son out of each generation thats born....PEACE OUT!
4:42 My own used to say "The meanest sons of bitches you'll ever meet in a fight are the kindest old boys you'll ever see in the light." and I take that to heart.
This was somethimg really in my lane, i myself love a fight, just because of the test you put yourself through, not because of the violence, i am a peace loving guy. *Gasp* could that grandpa be the future me?
Lighthouse H. Love the new twist on an old crossroads tale. You know I enjoy your interpretations.I can almost picture him beating that demons' butt! Thankyou.💜🐾
Do the poll thingy to boost your channel xD. You're one of the extremely good narrator I've listen to and I listen to a lot of creepypasta and HFY narration.
Man. I don't know how many times you've seen me type this kind of message to you so I'll take a moment to elaborate just a little. I'm a grown man, husband and father of 4 children. You know how I've told you at least a dozen times it's the little things that make your reads so amazing. Everyone who clicked on this video knows this is a story. There's no way you could make this fact any clearer. Right around when you say you could see how pale our baby was. In that ball park give or take a few words. I was already so locked in that I paused the game I was playing on the ps4 because the way you read, it almost demands full attention. When you uttered that line, and even now typing this, I've got a tear in my eye. The narration had me locked in like I was teleported to another place in time and space. I sat here, really unable to even push the pause button, even though I knew I wanted to. Than it happened. " Have you ever seen a babies coffin?" And the tear that had been building up, was quickly accompanied by more. It's stuff like that. The way you read some if these stories...... You really took me there. It was an amazingly well written story. Just the way you say things without even saying them, it's special. For a lack of better words. What you do and how you do it is special. No matter how far out, or painfully real the story is. I don't even need to close my eyes. Sorry I'm writing you a short novel here, but also as I've told you before, especially these days and in the state of the world, it's made me realize something we've senile have just gotten to busy for in life. We should all stop and make sure we let people know how much they're appreciated. You sir, are very special at what you do. You're very much appreciated by many of that I'm sure. You took a 40 year old husband and a father of 4, to another place. Albeit sad this instance. But that's a talent that's becoming fewer and farther between. Sorry if you read this, that I took up a bit more time than I'm sure you have to just give away. You're more than just a guy reading stories, you're quickly becoming a masterclass of how much you can accomplish if you just put forth some time and effort. Thanks again.
Man... I really appreciate you Derek. It's been a rough year for a lot of people (including me I'll admit) and it's so rewarding to hear things like that. I really appreciate your encouragement and I'll keep plugging away! I was frustrated a few days ago and got a little behind on videos, and it was because I was being too hard on myself. Thanks for the fuel my friend!
If you you don’t like supernatural stories don’t listen / watch these videos, cause Stephen is one of my favorite narrators, my favorite , Creepyoasta, hell yeah you go
Even if not I totally think he's gonna kick the Devil's ass. Said it himself. He's a grifter. He has no real power but what man gives him. So to quote Ken Watanabe in Godzilla; let them fight. Even if he fights dirty, devil's been done in by less. I recall a little tale out of Georgia about a man and his fiddle, if I'm not mistaken...
Perhaps it’s thé gained Optimism from my experiences, but I like to think the grandson won, gained back his wife and daughter and loved the rest of his life without ever seeing or hearing from the devil again. That he beat the devil in the dirt so badly that it left for good
Great story and awesome narration! You have a new subscriber here, and I'm looking forward to watching all your content, keep up the good work lighthouse! You're very entertaining!
I'm certainly hoping the author wrote a sequel to this, that you also narrate, it was awesome and you gave me chills! I was mad right along with Pete for sure, and wanna beat the devil's ass myself!
Ooof. Right in the feels. I can relate to the protagonist of this story. A child’s coffin is indeed too small and wrong. And yes the hollow has never changed and you don’t get over it. I’m a 16 year veteran of that war. The story is well told. And to HeadOfSpecter (If the spelling is wrong, I apologize!) I’ve heard a couple of your stories through here and they’re wonderfully done with both the details and the immersive stories that draw you in. Keep up the good work!
What a heartrending story by HeadofSpectre! Your narration, Lighthouse Horror, wrung all the depth of emotion and sorrow and righteous anger from it too. Wouldn’t it be something if, during the fight, Grandpa Nathaniel came back to join the fray! Really kick the devil’s ass once and for all. Well, one can hope anyway. Thank you both very much!
I normally love obscure endings that imply a bad ending. They're horror stories after all. But I want a part two, I was really rooting for this protagonist. This is like only listening to part 1 of Borrasca
I don't want to sound like a fan boy but this story kind of reminds me of JoJo's bizarre adventure with the main villain being passed down generations. Also this story with your voice is just to good great job👍👍
I think SpiffingBrit did a RU-vid is broken video recently about a hack that actually works and will increase your subs by stupid amounts. Something about the community tab. He's encouraging other creators to use it so YT fixes it, but u can get a bunch of subs in the process. Your really good, good story too. Surprises me u don't have alot more subs. If you've heard all this before forget it, if not hope it helps. Peace😁
With how much I loved my papa, there'd be no way in hell I'd even have the strength to take care of the dog that ate his body. I'd hate the dog. That's not fair to anything. Sending it off would be better, for me at least.
I lost my son when he was 13 days old . He died of viral sepsis. The devastating hollowed out sorrow that is described in this story from the loss of their child is heartbreakingly, right on point. 🥺😭🥺
I've never lost a child, but I've worked at a graveyard in the past where someone had lost a newborn. The mother's grief stricken wails still haunt me when they lowered that coffin down into the ground.
I do so enjoy these kind of stories. Whenever i hear the devil mentioned i never think of the typical Prince of Hell with red skin, hooves, horns etc. But the man who played the devil in the film " Crossroads" loosely based on the life of blues guitarist Robert Johnson & the film version starring Ralph Macchio. Its one of my favourite films, because of the story & the marvellous blues music & the crowning glory of the amazing rock guitarist Steve Vai. That end scene of young Ralph duelling with Steve Vai for Ralphs old Bluesman friends soul was Superb. I was always, from that moment, convinced that the debonaire Black Preacher who was the devil himself was the absolute image of what i thought the devil should look like. Hell, ( oops sorry for the inference) i even liked him. The author, Head of Spector, did a grand job, except, well i was waiting for a little twist,in that, Along with the story from Grandpa Nathan, he would have mentioned a little oddity or peculiar addage to his story concerning his triumph over Old Nick.. a clue perhaps or something to speak, a ditty of seeming gibberish but was actually an ancient spell to banish Old Scratch from his county for the duration of his life but had to pass it on to Peter in such a way that the devil wouldnt know, along with a small talisman, maybe? Or am i jumping the gun? Is there a part 2 ? I DO hope so If not chevvy up the authors interest & issuing a challenge that he can come up with a nifty twist to the end of the story & see the spit & grit in Peters eye to battle his ( & Grandpa Nathans) nemesis & regain his family without trickery from Beelzebub. Triffic narration kind Sir, you do us damn (oops again) proud. Btw, is the narrator from Creepy Ghost Stories a relative of yours? You both sound similar. Thank You Lighthouse Keeper of dark tales 👹😉
Glad you liked it!! I'm a fan of Ralph Macchio hah (I've watched all the new Cobra Kai episodes). Maybe CGS and I are long lost relatives hah. Thanks as always Itallia : )
Well the funny thing is that the “Big Red Goat” that is the popular depiction of the Devil, is a relatively new thing. In the earliest days of Christianity he was simply a Fallen Angel, and Hell was basically just cessation of the existence, not this fire and brimstone world of torture (which is probably based off of Hades anyways)
@@ShadowknightEX actually the goat symbol is in fact the Pagan god of music, Pan. Also Pan was of the god of nature, The Green Man of the forests. For a long time Pagan religion was followed by everyone so when the fledgling Christian movement was trying to establish a foothold, they denigrated the Pagan god Pan as the Devil. Hence the devil goat. Theres a saying, When the new invader of a country takes over, they place the defeated peoples God down as the devil & promote their God as the one true god.
Sorry i forgot to mention.the most relevant part, the nature & music god Pan was humanlike from the waist up but goat from the waist down. He used to sit by the riverside, near the reeds, & play his Pan pipes which he made from the hollow reeds.
