Legend has it GG continued pinting long into the night, scoring .1 more in each pub, until he finished pint #17, the perfect 10.0, in the back of an ambulance.
Confession box is a great pub. Lovely pint. When are you going to the Hut in Phibsboro ???? Also is it wrong that I want a now want a pint of stout at 11 in the morning?!
Myself, my dad and brother stumbled across briodys completely by accident when having to jump off the Luas for a toilet break when on the way to leopardstown races. Guiness look too good not to have a quick pint. Insane. Great review and videos
I was sitting in that same chair at the Celt's exactly one month ago. It's been my go to place since I first came to Dublin so many years ago. You could still get locked in past midnight in those days. It has its share of tourists but still also popular with the locals. always good atmosphere.
Decent pint that's for sure, agree with the score as I've tasted many in the Celt. Must talk about the sounds though, can't beat some afternoon Rebels in the background "Come out ye black & tans" while skullin pints of pure in Dublin's fair city. This pub was quite the craic in the late 80s and 90s, 2021 is struggling to keep up!
you lot are spoilt by the sheer volume of g spots - nah let's rephrase that, places where the Guinness is lethal. I'm just off out to try a place in Newcastle that supposedly does a great pint (Pumphrey's in the Cloth Market and The Beehive also in the city centre) so wish me luck. And then again tomorrow to frequent a few others. The lads have no idea i'm dragging them far and wide in aid of the Guinness but i'm not even sorry. enjoy your weekend pints, lads!!
Good morning from Glasgow, another three great reviews with excellent details, and incidentally I wouldn't mind if you called The Celt, The Selt or The Celtic...Can proudly say I have been in all 3 bars and never had a bad visit, The Confessional Box has been my go to pub for years on any Dublin trip. Would dearly love to see you visit Glasgow or just outside the city. Take care and keep the great reviews coming in.
@@danbreen6946 , Hail Hail Chara, gotta keep the real Celts on the front page. Take care comrade. Guinness Guru appears to be quite genuine, I think he would enjoy Glasgow, but maybe the Guinness would let the trip down.
Was in Briodys last November, around half ten in the morning, all the locals were paying 5 euro a pint while I was charged 6.20 for my Guinness. Initially I thought to myself, maybe he has a special price for pensioners in the morning, but when I saw people my own age and younger still paying only 5, I said fcuk this and left.
Quick weekend in Dublin, Tried the normal haunts Bowes etc. but Briodys was by far the best pint I've ever had. Was in there at 11ish Saturday morning and it was full. Tells you everything you need to know. Decent price also. Great staff also. 5 pints in had to leave or I would have lost the whole day.
Nice one! All look like great pints! I went to Bowes with my Da last weekend. He's French and he's a wine connoisseur, and he approved wholeheartedly! We went to 4 different places, finishing on Neary's. I would have put the Neary's pint in the lead that night to be honest, but I suppose it depends on the individual scenario. All good thick cream regardless!
Sure do you go on da lash 7 days a week?😁Ya want to try a pub called Moran’s in Mornington Co Meath great Guinness also the Cobweb in Castlebar Co Mayo great Guinness also😋😋👌👍
My guy, in 4 weeks my brother is marrying his fiance over there in Ireland where shes from. Ive been before and had Irish Guiness in her families home town just north of Dublin. When we fly back in a few weeks when we land we are gonna spend the day in Dublin. Can you give me just one pub near the centre that you would recommend off the bat for a pint of the dark stuff. Cheers in advance mate
I just saw this video 2 days ago, as I had booked a trip to Ireland for the first time, and I am in the Briody’s pub now, having a few Gs because if you. It’s a cool pub and a lovely pint. Cheers GG.
What the craic Guru? One spot you have to try is Hartigans on Leeson street. Used to be my work local and still my favourite pint. Cream on cream. The bar itself is old man style class, then its extension looks like a GAA changing room 😂. We used to call one of the barmen the octopus - not joking he can pull 6-8 pints at once. You won't regret going here! Ho ho ho Merry Christmas!
Great. Have you ever tried a pint in The Royal Oak in Kilmainham in Dublin? I don't think you can get a better pint than there.. Proper old Pub with a snug!!
The ship pub outside Thurles, you can get the train. It's worth a visit, the pint is great. I didn't like Guinness until I drank it there now I drink nothing else. Can't go back to lager now
will you be visiting the Oval Bar Middle Abbey St in the not too distant future ? one of my favourite pubs for a guinness pint as it has a unique flavour
Love to see you review The Boot Inn beside Dublin Airport Ive had a few pints in there and its the best pint Ive had (never been to The Gravediggers or Bowes yet!)
