+Aquachigger I think I'll have to, I've seen a lot of people use metal detectors, do I really need that or can I do it using your technique and still find? I feel you're just a pro XD. How long have you been doing this?
aquachigger, just to say you are awesome, you're the sole reason why i started metal detecting! thank you for the great entertainment :) keep up the videos.
+Aquachigger, you're very welcome, i just wish the rivers and streams in the uk were as (moderately clean) as the ones you adventure in, then i'd do that also. look forward to watching more videos.
Another great video! I used to live in upstate NY and snorkeled the Schroon River every summer. Now I'm in SW Florida and there be gators all around. If you ever head to upstate NY you've got to try the lower Schroon River. It's got lots of treasure!! Next weekend my son and I are going to hunt the Rainbow River. Thanks for the vids! It's got me back into it again with my 3 sons.
@Aquachigger. I really liked seeing the railroad spikes. We just road the Cumbres & Toltec train in Antonito Colorado. It was on a 150 year old train. It was awesome !
Excellent video Beau, even if you found nothing the searching is 100% better to watch when it's in clear water. It sure beats straining my eyeballs on a muddy waters river video.
All of that old railroad iron looked like the real treasure to me. Who needs a gold and diamond ring when you can assemble your very own steam engine out of parts found in the river bottom?
Thank you! You motivated me to hunt, I went in the forest and looked around, I found an old bottle dump where I found a squirt soda bottle from 1947-1948, an 1800s milk bottle, and another blue bottle, I also found a deer skull
Watching you slinging all those railroad spikes out of the way to get to the good stuff I visualized the future excitement on a news channel in the year 3016 (or more likely an information dump included in your morning cereal like vitamins are today) detailing the startling find of dozens of iron spikes once used to adhere pieces of wood together prior to molecular fusion becoming the norm in 2210.
that valve thing you had goes on the end of a steam train piston, before steam becomes steam there's water built up in the piston, that valve allows the water to drain out until steam builds up so the cylinder doesnt fill with water in turn bending alot iron or worse case scenario, go boom
I can't believe you're leaving those coupling pins behind... I've coveted every one I've ever found in 12+ years of collecting RR iron. I guess I'll have to start diving!
I think he's messing with everyone. He blatantly focuses right on it with the camera for multiple seconds, then moves on and makes no mention of it while picking up tiny things all around it.
You know, I started my affection of watching river dredging here, but some... way, some how my feed stopped showing yours and showed "Discovering Alabama" or something, some teen who can't tell an arrow head from a falls shale chip. Also... "I found something good!" to him is find some rotted piece of pig iron... Well, I guess they have to start somewhere but god is it hard to not post a comment calling him out on obvious stuff... Anyways. Love everything you post with water. Cheers!
That was a cool video, looks like they threw half the train in there,I think that big valve looking thing was some kind of compression release valve.by the way have you been giving old nuggetnoggin lessons! Lol
Hi have you thought about getting a green gold pan and panning where you found the ring? the crevasses in the rocks are perfect hiding places for gold nuggets.
Have you ever thought about collecting the non-bullet/musket ball/pistol ball lead (sinkers, weights, modern fired bullets) you find and then selling them for scrap? Lead usually fetches a pretty good price.
I love those wacky pawn shows where the girl comes in and says "My boyfriend says these jewelry are worth $5,000 USD", and the girl behind the counter is going "Cubic Zirconia" and the woman always has a hissy fit hearing it.
Why didn't you grab that bullet looking thing at around 5:24. I was like, wait go back you forgot something. Lol love your videos, they are so interesting. And believe me, that says a lot especially because I come here on RU-vid to watch makeup videos. @aquachigger
