They simply buffed techroll too much (even more in the last bits of 7 due to Akuma techs being horrific) So everyone uses techroll and once in a while up rise and instantly ws4 to catch the opponent off guard

I could be wrong but last I checked, the up getup was vulnerable the entire time until the character returned to neutral, which is why people didn't opt for it often, even if on paper, it is the fastest getup option. People preferred techroll in general cause they could not be hit by anything during the roll and got back to neutral

It’s basically all he talks about lately… I found his channel weeks before the kazuya ted talks. Now all he talks about is how bad but also how good Kazuya is.

in tekken 7 you couldn't d3 or steel pedal at all if they just held back the stun is different now it's not just like t7 here d3 is guaranteed but if they dont press up you get steel pedal and you can also force a mixup if you want if they are pressing up or just take the d3 also in t7 you wouldn't be able to f4 if your combo is like more than 4 hits you aren't sacrificing damage here

What is the combo you use before df3~3? Is it just post bound in general?

Don't worry they will patch Kazuya F4 but keep it for all the other characters 😂

even if that's the case you can still do a 50/50 with his stomp or ff3 after the f4 spike. This has been around since Tekken 6 because I used to watch Mainstreet Ryu do it. I picked it up from him. I would go for stomp a few times and do ff3 the next time for the launch. it can still be effective.

Dozens of characters have this. Lees main wall combo in T7 works the exact same and he‘s a execution heavy character.

He simply likes to downplay your average player knowledge/skill level.

Df1,2 has much bigger hitbox and easier to hit rather than cd1. DF3,2,1 needs less combo hits in order to fully hit

hes worse, and it's not really a power thing, they made his neutral brain dead and his combos are boring and frustrating while all his other new stuff is virtually useless.

probably tekken 6 was that tekken. Where kaz was mid and bob was broken.

@@via_negativa6183 Idk, he seems as solid as in tekken 7 but with better visuals and animations, if i were to be a Kaz main I'd be exhillarated! He's got cool combos from what i've seen but that's just my opinion. Nonetheless, you can't deny this new tech is something excellent for Kazuya players. There are many more things to come since the game hasn't even come out yet, people need to lab and figure out the characters fully! Look what happened with Akuma in Tekken 7 because nobody gave a damn about him.

The thing about Kaz mains is they are usually made of cardboard and drywall. This iteration is a gameplay glowup for the character they just want boring

Yeah I don't get it either. My main is Xiaoyu and I find her pretty lackluster in T8. They took down her tools and gave her new ones, more boring imho. She also looks bland compared to other characters. I switched to Kaz to see how he plays and he's super fun to use not gonna lie. Great easy combo, great oki. And visually he looks stunning. Best Kaz design in like forever.

I dont think you played much Tekken if you think so, or you stopped watching when he said he could do the low attack. Spring kick is slow as hell, you just eat the ff4. Or worse, he blocks it, and you get launched

@@Boss-_ I'm talking about ff4 not df3. Obviously no one will got for guaranteed low because it does way less and leaves you in worse position for mixups. So your "go to" option is ff4 which can get spring kicked easily. He got caught by it twice vs Azucena ghost. To block spring kick you have to expect it. And when you're doing that "tech" you're basically dashing as close as you can to do ff4 as soon as possible. Your argument is basically "anything can be countered". Yeah no shit. But the reality is, many people use spring kicks especially in low ranks because they're mashing 3 and 4.

@@ant_989 Already said it on the other reply thread, but you just gotta go in further with ff4. It's really easy. It still beats wake-up backward, and it catches spring kicks, and will often counter wake-up kicks. My argument is "This works for these reasons, try it yourself. Yours is "I saw somebody try it twice and mess it up". By that same standard Lee's b2 loops don't work because I kept dropping them when I started learning And even if it my argment was "You have to expect it", well if you see them constantly mashing and succeeding to beat your option with a spring kick, it becomes really easy to read, and then you just get a free launch. The risk/reward just would not be worth it. But again, moot point, because ff4 works.

@@Boss-_ Make your own video showing how it beats spring kicks by going further in ff4. Because it's not anywhere as easy as you say. You have to be really fast to go further in with ff4. Also same can be said about your sayin it's "easy to read". You assume your opponent is green rank idiot who keeps doing same shit. My point is, the opponent can mix you up too. Expecting spring kick? Sure keep blocking and he'll be back up on neutral.

Not if you just fo a bit further in (which is easy, since it's an ff input anyway. Then you'd catch the spring kick, and wake up backward takes a while before it let's you block, so it would still beat that. And dont listen to the other guy unless you wanna get CH launched

@@ant_989 I did. He just needs to go in further. And I just tested this in the demo PvP (with Nina, since no Azucena). Everything I said is correct, you can try it yourself to verify And it is a tech, and it'd still be one even if you could beat it with spring kick, I dont get your use of quotes.

Just tested and spring kick does not beat it. The only thing that even comes close is a toe kick. Toe kick makes the timing extremely tight. But it trades if you're late which is still a very bad situation for the opponent as they just ate a counter hit FF4, even if you can't combo off it due to the trade. Also if you predict they're going for a toe kick its a free launch so its, pretty broken all the way around.
